Jets S Minkah Fitzpatrick practices fully, expects to play vs. Bears

After missing the last two games due to a groin injury, New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick practiced fully on Thursday and told reporters afterwards that he expects to play against the host Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The Jets acquired the 29-year-old Fitzpatrick in a trade with Miami Dolphins in March and inked him to a three-year, $40 million contract.

Fitzpatrick started in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, but he suffered a groin injury on the sixth play of the game and missed games against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

"I tried my best to finish the game, but as a DB with the groin, it's kind of tough," Fitzpatrick said. "So it was frustrating, but also at the same time, you still have to stay locked in. You can't be mad in those circumstances. I was still trying to help the teammates in the best way we can."

The Jets did not record an interception in 2025 and their streak without one has been extended to an NFL-record 20 games.

Fitzpatrick has 21 career interceptions in eight previous seasons with Miami (2018-19, 2025) and Pittsburgh (2019-24), including a league-best six picks for the Steelers in 2022.

Bender's Last Minute Starts/Sits: Week 4

Player Notes
Ladd McConkey Oct 4 3:30pm ET
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) is active Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. There was some concern about his availability after McConkey missed Thursday's practice, though he was able to get back on the field in a limited fashion Friday. He was officially listed as questionable. McConkey has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown through three games, but the targets haven't exactly been piling up lately. He saw three in Week 2 and five last week. RotoBaller has McConkey at WR32 for Week 4, which puts him more in the WR3 mix than among the receivers fantasy managers need to force into lineups.

Hollins had three catches for 53 yards before leaving after posting six receptions for 87 yards against Jacksonville last week.

Evans was listed as questionable after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning in a limited capacity Friday. He suffered the injury during last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals, finishing with three catches on six targets for 34 yards and a touchdown before exiting. Evans enters Sunday with 12 receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns through three games. RotoBaller has him at WR31 in its updated Week 4 PPR rankings, putting him in WR3 territory while he plays through the rib issue.

Lamar Jackson Oct 4 3:10pm ET
Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Jackson suffered the injury late in the first half and did not return to the field when Baltimore opened the third quarter, with Tyler Huntley taking over at quarterback. Jackson had completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns before exiting. He entered Sunday without an injury designation after dealing with a minor back issue earlier in the week, so the ankle is a new concern.

Ja'Marr Chase Oct 4 3:00pm ET
Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Paul Dehner. Chase was injured in the second quarter after being brought down by his facemask, with his head hitting the turf on the play. He was able to walk off under his own power before going to the medical tent and later the locker room. Chase caught all three of his targets for 26 yards before leaving. He will now enter the league's concussion protocol, putting his status for Week 5 in question.

D.J. Moore Oct 4 2:50pm ET
D.J. Moore

Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) has been downgraded to doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Moore left late in the second quarter and was initially listed as questionable after being evaluated for the shoulder injury. He caught one of two targets for 11 yards and added one carry for six yards before exiting. Moore was already on Buffalo's injury report with a shoulder issue throughout the week, though he entered Sunday without a game designation. The move from questionable to doubtful makes a return this afternoon unlikely.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the New England Patriots after going to the medical tent late in the first half. Jonathan Acosta initially reported that Moore went in for evaluation after a diving attempt near the right sideline. He was able to get up and walk off the field on his own, but Buffalo has since listed him as questionable to return with the shoulder issue. Moore's status will need to be watched coming out of halftime.

Jayden Daniels Oct 4 2:20pm ET
Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (left elbow) will be a full participant in practice this week, head coach Dan Quinn said Sunday. Daniels was limited in all three practices last week before Washington ruled him out against the Indianapolis Colts. He has missed two straight games since dislocating his left elbow in Week 2 against Dallas. A full week of practice would put Daniels on track to return Sunday against the New York Giants, although he still needs to get through the week before Washington clears him to play. The timing could be important for the Commanders after Marcus Mariota aggravated his right MCL against Indianapolis and is expected to miss some time.

Saquon Barkley Oct 4 2:20pm ET
Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Adam Schefter. Barkley pulled up after a six-yard run in the first quarter and grabbed at his right hamstring before heading to the medical tent. He later went to the locker room and was initially listed as questionable to return. Barkley finishes with two carries for eight yards. Tank Bigsby was the first back onto the field after Barkley left, with Will Shipley also available behind him. Philadelphia has not provided any further information yet on the severity of Barkley's hamstring injury.

Green Bay Packers running back Chris Brooks (ankle) is questionable to return in a Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an ankle injury, according to the team. Brooks was injured in the second quarter. He was leading the Packers with four carries for 30 rushing yards (7.5 yards per carry) at the time of his exit. He also had one reception for five yards. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return, according to the team. He was seen entering the blue medical tent in a Week 4 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Charlie Goldsmith of the Charlie's Chalkboard newsletter and FOX19. The injury occurred after Chase caught a four-yard pass and Jacksonville cornerback Jarrian Jones was called for a face mask penalty. Other wide receivers for the Bengals include Tee Higgins, Dohnte Meyers and Mitch Tinsley.

Jaylin Lane Oct 4 1:50pm ET
Jaylin Lane

Washington Commanders wide receiver and returner Jaylin Lane is dealing with a serious ankle injury, according to head coach Dan Quinn, as reported by JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports Washington. Lane was injured on a kickoff return early in the third quarter of a Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in London. He did not appear to be able to put any pressure on his left leg and had to be carted off of the field. Lane was quickly ruled out of the game and did not return. Lane did not record any receptions and had three kickoff returns for 80 yards (26.7 yards per return) against the Colts. He has tallied two receptions for 25 yards (12.5 yards per attempt) in 2026.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is questionable to return against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury, according to the team. He was seen hobbling after a six-yard run against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic. Following the run, Barkley was spotted limping on the sideline and then went to the blue medical tent. Running back Tank Bigsby has entered the lineup in Barkley's absence. Will Shipley is also available in the backfield for the Eagles.

Joe Mixon Oct 4 1:10pm ET
Joe Mixon

Free-agent running back Joe Mixon is visiting the Seattle Seahawks, according to Jay Glazer on FOX. Mixon has not played since 2024 after a foot injury wiped out his entire 2025 season, but he was still productive the last time he was on the field. He rushed for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns on 245 carries in 14 games for Houston while adding 36 catches for 309 yards and another score. Seattle has a reason to look for help. Rookie Jadarian Price (chest) was placed on injured reserve Saturday and must miss at least four games. Zach Charbonnet (knee) returned to practice this week but cannot be activated until Week 5 at the earliest as he works back from a torn ACL. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are among the backs currently available. Mixon is only visiting at this point, so there is no guarantee he signs, but his past production and Seattle's short-term uncertainty make him a reasonable speculative stash in deeper fantasy leagues.

Marcus Mariota Oct 4 12:50pm ET
Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota (right knee) aggravated the MCL injury he first suffered during the preseason and is expected to miss some time, according to Ian Rapoport. Mariota will undergo additional testing after leaving Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter. He completed three of four passes for 46 yards and added a 35-yard run before going down. Rapoport also reported that there is hope Jayden Daniels (left elbow) can return in Week 5 against the New York Giants. Daniels was limited in all three practices this past week but was ruled out Friday, with Washington planning to reevaluate him after another week of work. If Daniels is not ready, rookie Athan Kaliakmanis would be next in line with Mariota now expected to miss time.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) will play Sunday against the Denver Broncos despite dealing with fractured ribs, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Evans will wear protective covering over the injured area during the game. He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday before returning for a limited session Friday, and the 49ers listed him as questionable coming into the weekend. Evans has 12 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns through three games. He'll give it a go against Denver, though how much the rib injury affects him once the game starts remains to be seen.

Brock Bowers Oct 4 12:20pm ET
Brock Bowers

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (illness) has been added to the injury report, but his status for Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs remains unchanged, according to Sam Warren of The Athletic. Bowers will play against the Chiefs on Sunday. This injury report update from the organization was merely procedural, as the Raiders are required to report any injuries or illnesses that are impacting their players. Barring a setback, Bowers should operate at full strength as the Raiders look to improve to an unimaginable 4-0 record. The 23-year-old tight end was quite impressive in his season debut last week, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown. He wasted no time developing a strong rapport with Kirk Cousins, and he should remain a high-end TE1 in fantasy football for Week 4.

Dynasty | Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota was forced from Sunday's game with the Colts after apparently re-injuring his MCL. Dynasty Analysis: Mariota walked to the locker room under his own power but this doesn't sound very promising. With Jayden Daniels still recovering from an elbow injury, the Commanders are down to Athan Kaliakmanis, a rookie they took in the seventh round this year and apparently not some guy they found this week in London. If both Mariota and Daniels are out next week, expect some moves to be made in the coming days.

Eli Raridon Oct 4 12:00pm ET
Eli Raridon

New England Patriots tight end Eli Raridon (thigh) is officially active for Sunday's Week 4 contest against the Buffalo Bills. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity all week long. The rookie has two catches for 32 yards and one touchdown through two games this season. He has consistently operated behind Hunter Henry, and neither tight end has emerged as a worthwhile starter in fantasy football. This is not the week to bank on a Raridon breakout; the Bills have surrendered the ninth-fewest receiving yards and the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends through the first three weeks of the 2026 season.

Zay Flowers Oct 4 12:00pm ET
Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's Week 4 contest against the Tennessee Titans. Flowers logged a full practice on Thursday and a limited practice on Friday, and he ultimately entered this weekend listed as questionable. In the end, not only will he play, but he's also expected to operate without any sort of limitations, according to a previous report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Barring a setback or new injury, this will be Flowers' first game of the season with a snap share of at least 35%. In Week 1, he exited in the first half due to a quad injury, although not before racking up 150 yards and a touchdown. He did play in Week 3, but he remained on a snap count in his first game back from injury. Now that he doesn't have any limitations, Flowers should return to his WR1 form in fantasy football, especially against a suspect Titans defense.
