Taylor scores big in Week 16
Well, that was quite the week in fantasy land. Scores were really high this week for many teams. There were a ton of high-scoring fantasy players, including five topping 30 fantasy points. And only one of those players was a quarterback. Hopefully, you were able to take advantage of those big games and advance in your fantasy playoffs.
Chargers 34, Broncos 27
Fantasy Stud: Gus Edwards. Edwards had his best fantasy game of the season, scoring 20.1 fantasy points. He ran 14 times for 68 yards and two touchdowns. It was his first game all season with double-digit fantasy points. Edwards remains hard to trust for fantasy teams, but showed in this one that he can be a positive if all goes well for him.
Fantasy Dud: Quentin Johnston. Johnston had a quiet game, catching three passes for just 18 yards. He had been playing well, having 15-plus fantasy points two straight games. He failed to even hit five points in this one, though. Johnston has been a little up and down throughout the season, so this game wasn’t a complete shock. It just came at a bad time for his fantasy owners.
Game Notes: Audric Estime led the Broncos in rush attempts. He ran nine times for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Ladd McConkey had six receptions for 87 yards on six targets. He scored 14.7 fantasy points, giving him at least 14 points five straight games.
Chiefs 27, Texans 19
Fantasy Stud: Tank Dell. Dell suffered a horrible injury, dislocating his kneecap. It was a rough scene with several Texans visibly upset at the sight of the injury. Dell remarkably caught a touchdown pass on the play he was injured. He had a great game before the terrible injury, catching six passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. Dell had his best game of the season, scoring 21.8 fantasy points. He will be missed for the Texans going forward, leaving a big hole to fill.
Fantasy Dud: Joe Mixon. Mixon picked a bad time to have one of his rare down fantasy games of the season. He ran 14 times for 57 yards and caught a pass for 14 yards. Mixon had just 8.1 fantasy points, his lowest total since Week 2. Mixon is having a great first season with the Texans but this performance was a real bummer for his fantasy owners.
Game Notes: Xavier Worthy had seven receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. He has scores two straight games and eight total for the season.
Marquise Brown made his season debut for the Chiefs and was a big factor. He had five receptions for 45 yards.
Ravens 34, Steelers 17
Fantasy Stud: Derrick Henry. Henry didn’t find the end zone but still had a big game. He ran 24 times for 162 yards and caught two passes for 27 yards. He topped 20 fantasy points for the sixth time this season. Henry has just one game all season with fewer than double-digit fantasy points. He is over 1,600-rushing yards for the season.
Fantasy Dud: Najee Harris. Harris wasn’t really held in check but just didn’t get the chance to produce big. He ran nine times for 42 yards and didn’t catch a pass. He scored just 4.2 fantasy points. Harris has two straight poor showings, rushing 15 times for just 56 yards.
Game Notes: Zay Flowers had his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season. He had five receptions for 100 yards on eight targets.
Lamar Jackson had a three-touchdown game, giving him 40 total touchdowns on the season. He was 15-of-23 for 207 yards and three touchdowns with an interception.
Bengals 24, Browns 6
Fantasy Stud: JaMarr Chase. Chase continued his great play, catching six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. He has 20-plus fantasy points five of six games. Chase is the top fantasy receiver in the game right now. His numbers are off the charts.
Fantasy Dud: Jerry Jeudy. The insertion of a new starting quarterback for the Browns was a bad thing for Jeudy. He had just two catches for 20 yards as the entire Browns passing game struggled throughout the game. Jeudy is having a breakout season but could struggle down the stretch with a young quarterback throwing passes.
Game Notes: Jerome Ford had a strong game in a starting role for the Browns. He ran 11 times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Ford also caught five passes for 39 yards.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson was up and down in his first start of the year. He was 20-of-34 for 157 yards with two interceptions. He ran nine times for 49 yards, making more plays with his legs than anything.
Rams 19, Jets 9
Fantasy Stud: Davante Adams. Adams continued his red-hot play, catching seven passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Adams was targeted 13 times. He had 19.8 fantasy points, giving him 17-plus fantasy points four straight games. His move to New York has been a great one for his fantasy value.
Fantasy Dud: Cooper Kupp. Kupp had three receptions for just 24 yards. He didn’t catch a pass last week, so Kupp has just three catches his last two games. This is way out of the ordinary for Kupp and worrisome for the rest of the season. He isn’t getting the looks right now.
Game Notes: Kyren Williams had his second straight 100-yard rushing game. He had 23 carries for 122 yards and a touchdown. He has 100-yard games three of four.
Matthew Stafford was 14-of-19 but threw for just 110 yards and a touchdown. Stafford has fewer than 185-passing yards two straight and three of four games.
Falcons 34, Giants 7
Fantasy Stud: Bijan Robinson. Robinson had another good game. He ran 22 times for 94 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for nine yards, giving him 103 total yards and two scores. Robinson had 24.3 fantasy points, giving him 20-plus points three of four games.
Fantasy Dud: Michael Penix. The Falcons won and Penix played fine but he didn’t help fantasy teams. He was 18-of-27 for 202 yards with an interception. Penix had just 9.5 fantasy points. Again, he played fine but didn’t have to do much for the Falcons. Things will get better for him but he might not be a huge help for fantasy teams his rookie year in this offense.
Game Notes: Tyrone Tracy found the end zone for the third time in four games. He ran seven times for 26 yards and caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Darnell Mooney didn’t catch a pass last week but was more involved in Week 16. He had five receptions for 82 yards on six targets.
Lions 34, Bears 17
Fantasy Stud: Keenan Allen. His team lost but Allen had a monster game in defeat. He had nine receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown. Allen had a season-high 29.1 fantasy points. He has picked a great time to play his best football of the season, having 20-plus fantasy points two straight and four of five games.
Fantasy Dud: D’Andre Swift. Swift did little in this one, rushing nine times for 20 yards. He caught three passes for 33 yards, giving him 53 total yards on 12 touches. Swift has not reached double-digit fantasy points since Week 11. Swift has really cooled since a good stretch of games midway through the season.
Game Notes: Jameson Williams enjoyed his third 100-yard game of the season. He had five receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown on seven targets.
Jared Goff has three straight three-touchdown games. He was 23-of-32 for 336 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover.
Colts 38, Titans 30
Fantasy Stud: Jonathan Taylor. Taylor had a game-winning fantasy performance. He ran 29 times for 218 yards and three touchdowns. He didn’t catch a pass but that didn’t matter to his owners, scoring 39.8 fantasy points. It was his fifth game with 100-plus rushing yards.
Fantasy Dud: Tony Pollard. Pollard played on his injured ankle and started but did next to nothing. He ran eight times for 35 yards and caught two passes for five yards. He failed to hit double-digit fantasy points for the second straight game and third time in four games. Pollard has disappointed down the stretch.
Game Notes: Anthony Richardson attempted just 11 passes but threw for 131 yards and a touchdown with an interception. He ran nine times for 70 yards and another score.
Tyjae Spears had multiple touchdowns for the second straight game. He rushed 10 times for 27 yards and two touchdowns. Spears also caught three passes for 39 yards.
Commanders 36, Eagles 33
Fantasy Stud: Jayden Daniels. Daniels had another one of those game-changing performances. He was absolutely terrific for fantasy owners, scoring nearly 50 fantasy points. He was 24-of-39 for 257 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions. Daniels has 30-plus fantasy points three of four games. Daniels is going to be a fantasy star for years to come.
Fantasy Dud: Jalen Hurts. Hurts left the game very early because of a concussion. His game likely did in a lot of fantasy owners, playing but getting in just a few plays while scoring next to nothing. It was an unfortunate injury for Hurts and his owners. The good news is he didn’t suffer anything too serious.
Game Notes: Saquon Barkley ran 29 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Barkley has 100-yard games five of his last six games.
Brian Robinson ran 10 times for just 24 yards and lost two fumbles in the game. He had a game to forget.
Panthers 36, Cardinals 30
Fantasy Stud: Chuba Hubbard. Hubbard is another player with a big-time fantasy performance in Week 16. He had 25 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Hubbard also had four receptions for 13 yards. Hubbard had a season-high 32.4 fantasy points. Hubbard has 20-plus points two of three games.
Fantasy Dud: Trey McBride. McBride had one of his few poor games of the entire season. He had three receptions for just 20 yards. McBride had just five fantasy points. He had double-digit fantasy points 10 straight games before this dud for McBride.
Game Notes: James Conner had a great game but had to leave early because of injury. He ran 15 times for 117 yards and a touchdown before getting hurt. Conner also had four receptions for 49 yards.
Bryce Young had a three-touchdown game. He was 17-of-26 for 158 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover. Young ran five times 68 yards and a touchdown.
Vikings 27, Seahawks 24
Fantasy Stud: Justin Jefferson. Jefferson had another one of his huge games, catching 10 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Jefferson scored 36.4 fantasy points, giving him 30-plus points two of three. He has topped 20 points all three of those games, though. Jefferson remains one of the best fantasy players in the game and is playing his best right now.
Fantasy Dud: Zach Charbonnet. The return of Kenneth Walker had Charbonnet playing a secondary role once again. We weren’t sure that would be the case with Charbonnet playing so well the last few games, but it played out that way once again. Charbonnet ran just one time and had two catches for 15 yards. As long as Walker is playing, Charbonnet has very little fantasy value.
Game Notes: Sam Darnold had his sixth three-touchdown game of the season. He was 22-of-35 for 246 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba had eight receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. He has at least 18 fantasy points three straight games.
Dolphins 29, 49ers 17
Fantasy Stud: Devon Achane. Achane had a huge performance, running 17 times for 121 yards and a touchdown. Achane also caught six passes for 70 yards, giving him 191 total yards and a touchdown. Achane had 31.1 fantasy points, which was his second game this season with 30-plus points. Achane has been an elite fantasy tight end throughout the season.
Fantasy Dud: Patrick Taylor. Taylor got some starts but showed he isn’t a player to trust in fantasy despite starting for a great rushing offense. Taylor ran eight times for just 24 yards and caught a pass for a yard. Taylor is not a player to use at this point of the season. Just too much risk.
Game Notes: Jonnu Smith had six receptions for 62 yards. He has six or more receptions five of six games.
Tyreek Hill scored a touchdown, giving him scores three of four games. He had three receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown.
Raiders 19, Jaguars 14
Fantasy Stud: Brian Thomas. If Thomas were on a better team, you probably would be hearing about him more. He is enjoying a fantastic season despite getting poor quarterback play much of the year. He had nine receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown. Thomas has two straight 100-yard games and three total for the season.
Fantasy Dud: Travis Etienne. Etienne took a backseat to Tank Bigsby a little more this week. He ran nine times for just 22 yards and had two receptions for 15 yards. Etienne had just 5.7 fantasy points. He had two straight games with 11-plus points before this showing.
Game Notes: Brock Bowers had 11 receptions for 99 yards. It was his fourth game this season with double-digit receptions.
Ameer Abdullah scored a touchdown for the second straight game and fourth time in six games. He had seven carries for 38 yards and a touchdown. He also had five receptions for 47 yards.
Bills 24, Patriots 21
Fantasy Stud: James Cook. Cook is yet another player that had a huge fantasy game in Week 16. He ran 11 times for 100 yards and a touchdown, averaging 9.1 yards per carry. Cook also had three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown. Cook scored 27.6 fantasy points. He has 26-plus points two straight games, having multiple scores each of his last two.
Fantasy Dud: Josh Allen. Allen picked a bad time to have one of his few poor fantasy games of the season. He was 16-of-29 for 154 yards and a touchdown with an interception. Allen had 13.7 fantasy points, his lowest total since Week 4. He had 20-plus points nine straight games before this one.
Game Notes: Rhamondre Stevenson scored his eighth touchdown of the season. He ran 12 times for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Kayshon Boutte had career bests in receptions (five) and yards (95). He also scored his second touchdown of the season. He was targeted seven times.
Cowboys 26, Bucs 24
Fantasy Stud: Bucky Irving. Irving continued his very good play. He ran 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Irving also caught three passes for 24 yards. Irving had 18.2 fantasy points. He has 17-plus points four of six games. Irving is having a breakout rookie season and looks to be a fantasy factor for years to come.
Fantasy Dud: Rico Dowdle. Dowdle had a tough time in this one, rushing 13 times for just 23 yards. He had three catches for 28 yards, giving him 51 total yards on 16 touches. Dowdle scored just 8.1 fantasy points. He had 11-plus points four straight games before this dud.
Game Notes: CeeDee Lamb had his second straight 100-yard game. He had seven receptions for 105 yards on eight targets.
Cooper Rush played a strong game for the Cowboys, finishing 26-of-35 for 292 yards and a touchdown without a turnover.

Arizona Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. (knee) and right tackle Jonah Williams (knee) have both already been ruled out for Saturday's Week 17 divisional clash against the Los Angeles Rams. Johnson will miss his second straight game, while Williams will sit out on Saturday night after injuring his knee in the overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 16. With the Cardinals being eliminated from playoff contention with their loss on Sunday, they don't have any incentive to put any injured players out on the field for the final two weeks of the regular season. Arizona missing both their left and right tackles against the Rams this weekend is bad news for their offense, and they could also be without lead running back James Conner (knee) as well. It should at least give fantasy managers pause when deciding to start quarterback Kyler Murray.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) is still in the league's concussion protocol but is advancing well. Pierce suffered a concussion in the Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos and was unable to play in the Week 16 win over the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday. The 24-year-old is recovering, but he'll need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist later this week to have a shot at returning to action for the Week 17 game this Sunday at the New York Giants. The matchup against the two-win Giants is a great one for the Colts offense this weekend, but Pierce would be a pretty shaky WR4/5 for fantasy managers in a low-volume passing attack if he's cleared to play. Quarterback Anthony Richardson only attempted 11 passes in the win over the Titans. When active, Pierce is Indy's WR3 behind Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers designated safety Jordan Whitehead (pectoral) to return from Injured Reserve on Tuesday by opening his 21-day practice window. Whitehead is now eligible to return to practice with the team this week, but it doesn't guarantee that he'll come off IR to play in Week 17 on Sunday against the division-rival Carolina Panthers. The 27-year-old was put on IR in late November due to a ruptured pectoral muscle, but he's nearing a return and would give the Bucs secondary a needed boost as they try to win the NFC South division in the final two weeks of the regular season. Whitehead started the team's first 11 games before getting injured, recording 76 tackles (47 solo) and three pass breakups in his return to Tampa in 2024. The Bucs defense is ranked as a top-10 defensive unit for their matchup against Carolina in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) is in wait-and-see mode for the team's upcoming Week 17 game against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night. Conner injured his knee in the overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, but not before putting up strong numbers with 19 touches for 166 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals were eliminated from postseason contention with their loss on Sunday, which means the Cardinals aren't going to rush the 29-year-old back this weekend if he's not ready. Conner's status will likely depend on how much he can do in practice this week. Trey Benson (ankle) missed the Week 16 game and Emari Demercado (back) is on Injured Reserve, so if Conner is ruled out, the Cardinals could be down to DeeJay Dallas and Michael Carter in their backfield against LA on Saturday.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) said he's "hoping for the best" regarding the knee injury he suffered in the Monday night blowout win over the New Orleans Saints. Watson was injured early in the first half when a defender fell on him at the end of a run. He returned to the game in the first half but eventually was seen being looked at by the medical staff on the sideline and didn't return to action in the second half. Watson is getting his knee examined on Tuesday, putting his status up in the air for Sunday's Week 17 contest against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. The 25-year-old didn't catch his only target and rushed two times for 23 yards in Monday's game. Already a shaky touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in a crowded wideout room in Green Bay, fantasy managers in championship matchups shouldn't be planning on using a banged-up Watson this week.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 17 game on Wednesday on Christmas Day versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jones didn't practice on Sunday or Monday after straining his calf in Saturday's win over the Houston Texans in Week 16. On a short week, the 30-year-old defensive stalwart might not be able to go, so fantasy managers in IDP formats need to have a backup on hand in case the Chiefs rule him out on Christmas morning. Jones being absent this week would be good news for quarterback Russell Wilson and the Steelers offense as they look to get things turned around after a disappointing Week 16 loss to the division-rival Baltimore Ravens. If Jones plays, he could be subject to a limited snap count as well, making him even more risky as a starting option in fantasy.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) is uncertain to play in Week 17 against the division-rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday due to a knee injury he suffered in the Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said he's betting on Rodgers to play, but he's not committing to it early in the week. With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, Rodgers isn't going to take any chances with his health in a meaningless game for the team. If he is ruled out for Sunday's game, journeyman QB Tyrod Taylor would make his first start of the year for Gang Green, which would be a downgrade for receivers Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson in fantasy. We'll have a better idea of the 41-year-old's status for Week 17 once the team resumes practicing on Wednesday. The future Hall of Famer has been better of late, but he's no more than a QB2 in fantasy if he plays.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III (shoulder) appears ready to return to the lineup on Christmas Day against the Baltimore Ravens, and with ample opportunity within the Texans' offense. Wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) joined Stefon Diggs (knee) on injured reserve, opening the way for other receivers behind top target Nico Collins. However, starting Metchie, even against a Ravens defense in the bottom five against fantasy receivers, is a massive risk for managers in fantasy Super Bowls this week. In addition to rostering receiver Robert Woods, Houston added Diontae Johnson off waivers on Monday. Replacing Dell might be a committee approach.
From RotoBaller
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Van Jefferson is off the fantasy radar when the Steelers take on Kansas City on Christmas Day. The veteran has played more than 70% of the Steelers' snaps the past three weeks, but that seems likely to change with top receiver George Pickens (hamstring) likely to return to the lineup. The Chiefs' defense ranks in the middle of the pack against fantasy receivers, but it's difficult to see Jefferson getting enough action in a run-loving Pittsburgh offense when competing for targets with Pickens, receiver Calvin Austin III, and tight end Pat Freiermuth.
From RotoBaller
The New York Jets signed kicker Greg Joseph to their practice squad, according to Joseph's agent, Brett Tessler. The veteran is now on his fifth team of the season after spending training camp with Green Bay, briefly signing with Detroit's practice squad, and then having stints with the New York Giants and Washington Commanders. Jets kicker Anders Carlson had a brutal showing on Sunday against the L.A. Rams, missing an extra point and a 49-yarder that would have cut the lead to one score in the fourth quarter. Joseph is unlikely to hold any fantasy value, however, even if he unseats Carlson for the starting job prior to a Week 17 game at Buffalo.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints receiver Kevin Austin Jr. earned another four targets Monday at Green Bay, but turned them into just one catch for 17 yards on which he fumbled, but saw the ball go out of bounds. The third-year player has drawn at least three targets in four straight games, but is playing more mostly due to injuries, including to top receiver Chris Olave (concussion). New Orleans, playing behind backup quarterback Spencer Rattler, looked hapless in the 34-0 defeat to the Packers and became the first team in the league to be shut out this year. Austin is off the fantasy radar prior to a Week 17 game against Las Vegas.
From RotoBaller
Dante Pettis of the New Orleans Saints earned seven targets on Monday at Green Bay, but finished with only two catches for 31 yards. The barren New Orleans offense was down to starting quarterback Spencer Rattler, who completed only half of his 30 passing attempts for 153 yards and an interception in a blowout 34-0 defeat. The Saints have ample opportunity for Pettis to play a high volume of snaps, but they have so few weapons at this stage of the season that starting anyone on this offense is likely a no-go. New Orleans will continue playing out the string in Week 17 against Las Vegas.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams was a non-factor with just three carries for eight yards and no targets in a 34-0 defeat at Green Bay. The veteran drew fewer carries than fellow running backs Kendre Miller and Jordan Mims, and backup quarterback Spencer Rattler carried five times as the depleted Saints offense struggled to muster anything in a forgettable outing. Even without starting running Alvin Kamara (groin), Williams was not fantasy relevant. The former 1,000-yard rusher can safely be left on waivers as the Saints prepare for Las Vegas in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus converted every opportunity on Monday in a 34-0 win against the New Orleans Saints, connecting on both field goals and all four extra points. The veteran kicker hit field goals of 55 and 46 yards in the second half, adding a boost for managers who started him in the fantasy playoffs. McManus, who was released by Washington earlier this year after a lawsuit alleging sexual assault was brought against him, has latched on in Green Bay during the second half of the season. He'll continue being attached to a capable offense as the playoff-bound Packers take on Minnesota in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler went 15-for-30 for 153 passing yards and added 28 yards on five rushes in Monday's 34-0 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Rattler also threw an interception and lost a fumble in the defeat, which had the dubious distinction of being the NFL's first shutout of the 2024 season. Additionally, the Saints never reached the red zone and the drives that brought them the closest were halted by Rattler's turnovers. Through four starts and five total appearances, the rookie has gone 84-for-150 for 859 passing yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. In postgame comments, interim head coach Darren Rizzi said that the team would evaluate Derek Carr's (hand) progress on Thursday. With the Saints officially out of the playoff hunt it isn't out of the question for Rattler to remain the starter in order to gain more experience at the pro level. Even if New Orleans gives him another chance, he doesn't belong on fantasy rosters in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
Those hoping that New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller would be the late-season add that would propel fantasy teams to the championship round of the fantasy playoffs were sorely disappointed on Monday night. Miller handled eight carriers and gained just 15 rushing yards in the 35-0 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He also caught both of his targets for 16 receiving yards. After taking over the Saints' backfield following Alvin Kamara's (groin) early departure last week, Miller finished with fewer snaps than fellow backup Jordan Mims. In postgame comments, interim head coach Darren Rizzi alluded to having a plan to use Miller that went out the window after falling in an early hole which forced New Orleans into playing catchup. Kamara's status for Week 17 is unknown at this point but if he misses another game then Miller should have an easier time against the Las Vegas Raiders.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back was the unexpected leader in targets and receptions in Monday's 35-0 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Mims caught five of his eight targets but finished with a meager 16 receiving yards. Mims also had four carries for 16 rushing yards, second only to the 28 yards that quarterback Spencer Rattler scrambled for. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi credited the surprising usage of Mims to the fact that the team had to shift into "two-minute mode" after falling into an early hole. Mims finished with 25 offensive snaps to 21 for Kendre Miller who was expected to be the team's featured back with Alvin Kamara (groin) shelved. Before Monday's game, Mims had been inactive for four straight games leading back to the Saints' Week 12 bye. In his very limited role this season he now has 58 rushing yards on 18 carries and another 58 on nine receptions.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau was the team's unlikely leader in receiving yards in their game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. If that isn't a strong enough indicator of how the Saints' offense fared, the fact that he needed just 33 yards to lead the team should make it a little more clear. Moreau caught two of his three passes for those 33 yards in a 35-0 loss in which New Orleans was held to less than 200 yards on offense. He also logged the Saints' longest play from scrimmage in the game when he caught a 21-yard pass from rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler in the second quarter. Primarily used as a blocker, Moreau now has a line of 25-335-4 for the season. In Week 17, Moreau can be ignored for fantasy purposes, even in a supposed "revenge game" against his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) had an MRI Monday, Dec. 23, and head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team doesn't have any updated information on the tests yet.
Fantasy Spin: Njoku carried a questionable tag into the Week 16 game in Cincinnati, and he looked good. However, with this ongoing issue, and the fact unproven QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is under center, it might be a good idea to avoid Njoku for Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.
From TheHuddle
Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has failed to prove himself as a dependable option within the team's offense. As a result, he ranks outside the top 18 tight ends and should be benched in most fantasy leagues ahead of Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. Although Kmet did catch a touchdown last week, he has just three receptions for 23 yards over his last three games. The 25-year-old ranks 14th among fantasy tight ends in 2024, but most of his production has come from outlier games. Through 15 contests, he has posted double-digit fantasy points (PPR) just thrice. Fantasy managers can justify benching or even dropping the 25-year-old as fantasy championships arrive and Kmet remains a non-factor.
