I still vote Yes. It’s the way we did it in the old days and it compliments with the spirit of the paper draft. Logistically, it’s not that hard to do.

You've red my opposition to a duel draft. How many drinks were consumed to come up with this idea?  Gez.  Yeah, I'm inline with our standard auction draft.  I've been away for a bit with family reunion and volunteering, sorry.  

On a positive, I will bring my slushy machine to make margaritas.  I'm liking Lalo tequila and I'm working on a no sugar recipe with 100% juices, no Cointreau or Agave Nectar.  Tequila, lime juice and sugar free orange extract.  I do have a recipe for orange margaritas too.  Big hit during my reunion party.

So, it's 50/50 so far on comments for and against a hybrid draft this year, at least from a couple of vocal members in our group.....

There are Pros and Cons to this idea:

Pros:

• Time - The auction tends to drag towards the end; thought is by going hybrid, draft finishes a little quicker, leaving more time to have some post draft smacking, bragging, berating each others teams ala the Great Gecko 😀
• Something New - I'm not saying our drafts are "stale," but, it might be nice to mix things up a bit, force some different strategy planning into your annual draft preperation

Cons:

• It is Different - Would require a shift in the way everyone has prepared for an all auction draft to a hybrid
  • Not that everyone has started planning their strategy for this year yet, but some have
• We were one of the first leagues to go Auction format back in late 90's early 00's (i'm old, memory is foggy on what exact year we switched)
• Shorter drafts not necessarily better, i mean, we get together once a year, why the rush?

I'm sure there are other Pros and Cons; please chime in!!
