Spring Moves - After going out with a whimper to finish the '25 season I was hoping to be more active in the spring.  Watching 200+ go on a couple players I was quickly outspent at the auction.  The glaring need was at TE and seeing Capo ACE Fannin right before auction time I approached with an offer for Laporta and landed him with a couple picks a PK and some cash.  The only auction win that was noteworthy was Washington.  I was well aware how he finished '25 and he was on the shortlist of wants from the auction.  I hung in on many other positions to fill depth but the money was flying this year and I didnt feel like I needed to overpay.  I was hoping to retain a few guys but lost 7 players to the auction.

Onto the Draft

Already parting with 2nd and 3rd for Laporta deal I was left with 1.8 as my lone remaining pick.  I was ok with this position and was looking at Sadiq or Mendoza.  I mostly wanted to trade this pick for futures and that ended up happening just before my at bat striking a deal with 14k for his '27 1st.  Later in the draft I tried to get back in the 3rd but the player I was targeting was gone and the deal fizzled out.  Shortly after the draft ended I struck a deal for Doubs for '27 3rd in hopes he can add depth for bye week fill in.  

Season outlook 

I think this team can compete for a playoff birth again but must remain healthy.  Decent starting lineup overall but not a lot behind them.  I hope I dont have to trade CMC by week6 lol
