The Los Angeles Chargers officially re-signed exclusive-rights free-agent running back Kimani Vidal to an undisclosed one-year deal, according to Howard Balzer of Cardinals Wire. Vidal saw a lot more work in 2025 than probably anyone was expecting, even Vidal. Early-season injuries to Najee Harris (Achilles) and Omarion Hampton (ankle) forced the 24-year-old into the RB1 role in L.A. last year, and it led to 155 carries for 643 yards and three touchdowns in 13 regular-season games. Vidal also had 16 receptions on 22 targets for 136 yards and another touchdown as a receiver. Harris won't return to the Chargers, but the Chargers added Keaton Mitchell to the running back room alongside Hampton, who will be in his second season in the NFL. Vidal figures to be the favorite to win the RB2 role to begin next season, but Mitchell will probably take a lot of valuable pass-catching opportunities. At best, Vidal will probably be a handcuff option for managers who select Hampton.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman continues to say that wide receiver A.J. Brown "is an Eagle" when asked about the possibility that he'll be traded this offseason, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. When asked if the team recently acquiring receiver Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers means anything for Brown, Roseman said, "What do you think the odds are that I'm answering this question any different than I answered it anywhere else? Like, really, do you think that's 50 percent? Do you think it's 75 percent?" Adds: "A.J. Brown's an Eagle." Odds are that the Eagles will be looking to trade Brown after June 1, when it makes more financial sense for them to do so. The most rumored destination for the 28-year-old is the New England Patriots, even after they signed Romeo Doubs in free agency. That would be a promising landing spot for Brown, who had his fourth straight 1,000-yard receiving season in 15 starts with the Eagles in 2025. The three-time Pro Bowler was unhappy with his role in Philly last year and had a career-low 12.9 yards per catch. If he were to join the Pats, Brown would continue to have big-play upside with young quarterback Drake Maye.

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that the team has "had no one call with interest" in wide receiver George Pickens, regarding a potential trade, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Even though the Cowboys have expressed plenty of interest in locking Pickens up long-term after already placing the franchise tag on him, no new deal has been agreed upon. The Cowboys most likely have an extremely high asking price after Pickens' 2025 breakout season, and maturity issues in the past could be scaring potential suitors away as well. The Cowboys are notorious for dragging their feet with long-term deals for their star players, so the former second-rounder of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 out of Georgia is expected to be a holdout heading into training camp this summer. Pickens had 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games last year. He will be a WR1 target in fantasy football drafts this fall with at least one more guaranteed season in Dallas (if he's not traded).

Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers is on a top-30 pre-draft visit with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday, a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Stowers is one of the upcoming draft's top tight ends, and he set a tight end combine record with a 45.5-inch vertical jump. The 22-year-old visited with the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys recently. He is a converted quarterback who played college ball at Texas A&M and New Mexico. Stowers won the Mackey Award in 2025 after he posted 62 catches for 769 yards and four touchdowns in his final collegiate season. There is plenty of improvement that Stowers can make in terms of his blocking prowess, but his combine numbers speak for themselves in terms of his pure athleticism on a football field. Stowers is expected to be the second TE off the board later this month behind Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq. Current Broncos TE Evan Engram's role could decline even further in 2026 if Stowers joins Denver.

The New York Giants announced on Monday that they signed free-agent quarterback Brandon Allen to an undisclosed deal. Allen will head into his seventh NFL season as the QB3 in the Big Apple behind Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston. The 33-year-old was a former sixth-round selection by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 out of Arkansas. Allen made his NFL debut in 2019 with the Denver Broncos and then spent three years with the Cincinnati Bengals before playing for the San Francisco 49ers in 2024 and the Tennessee Titans in 2025. In his six years in the NFL, Allen has completed 56.7% of his 323 pass attempts for 1,882 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 19 games played (10 starts). He only appeared in one game for the Titans last year and went 17-for-30 passing for 72 yards, no touchdowns, and a pick. Allen is off the fantasy football radar everywhere.

If the Philadelphia Eagles trade wide receiver A.J. Brown this summer, the Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski thinks that Dontayvion Wicks would probably be the WR2 behind DeVonta Smith and over Marquise Brown. There are a lot of things working for Wicks. He is younger than Brown, the Eagles have more invested in him, he's under contract for two more years, and he seemingly already has the trust of offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. But perhaps the biggest thing that will separate Wicks from Brown in the competition for the WR2 role if A.J. Brown is traded is the fact that Wicks offers "far more" as a blocker in the running game than Brown does. Kempski thinks it will "matter a lot in this new scheme." The 24-year-old would definitely have a much higher fantasy ceiling as the No. 2 wideout in Philly, but he will also need to fix his issues with drops if he's going to take advantage of the bigger opportunity in his first year with his new team. In three years with the Packers, Wicks never had more than 39 receptions, 581 yards, or five touchdowns in his 46 games (18 starts).

USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, who is considered a top-three player at his position in this year's NFL draft class, visited with the Miami Dolphins on Monday, a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Miami has the 11th overall pick in the first round of this year's draft, which is right around the spot when teams will likely begin considering Lemon. The Dolphins landing Lemon would not be much of a surprise at all after they released All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill (knee) and traded receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos this offseason. Right now, Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington, and Tutu Atwell are considered the team's top-three pass-catchers, so new quarterback Malik Willis could certainly use some help. If Lemon were to land in South Beach, he could quickly become the WR1 in Miami as Willis' go-to target. Lemon should man the slot wherever he lands in the NFL, and he's been frequently compared to Lions star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. took a top-30 pre-draft visit to the New York Jets on Monday, a source told Jordan Reid of ESPN. The Jets are one of many teams looking for receivers in the upcoming NFL draft, and Cooper has been a popular pairing with the Jets, who hold the No. 16 overall pick in the first round. The Jets are pretty high on Cooper, who would be joining Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell as one of the team's top pass-catchers if he were to land in New York. The 22-year-old broke out in his senior season with the Hoosiers in 2025 to help them go undefeated and win the national championship. In 16 games, Cooper had 69 catches for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns while taking passes from quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who is expected to be taken first overall by the Las Vegas Raiders this year. For dynasty/keeper purposes, seeing Cooper land with the Jets definitely wouldn't be great news, as veteran QB Geno Smith is expected to run the offense this year.

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) has not played since suffering a brutal knee injury in Week 16 of the 2024 season, and general manager Nick Caserio said that the team expects to have a better read on what he'll be able to do going forward once the Texans are deeper into their offseason program. "With Tank, honestly, it's probably day to day," Caserio said. "We'll see where he is -- probably have a better idea as we get through the spring of what his availability is going to be in training camp. He's been here pretty religiously since he's been able to do more." The 26-year-old former third-rounder in 2023 out of Houston should remain stashed in all dynasty/keeper leagues, but he'll be a total wild card in redraft formats after a devastating knee injury that initially looked like it could end Dell's career. Dell had 98 catches for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in 25 games in his first two NFL seasons, so he could be a difference-maker for this offense behind WR1 Nico Collins if he returns to pre-injury form. However, we're still waiting to see if Dell will even be ready for the start of the 2026 regular season in September.

Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan said he's optimistic about tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) and said that he looks good after he had ankle surgery, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Sanders has been running and cutting and looks good during his rehab. The 23-year-old had season-ending surgery in late December to fix a broken right fibula. Sanders has been recovering nicely, though, and he could be ready for organized team activities in May. In his second NFL season in 13 before his ankle injury, the former fourth-rounder out of the University of Texas in 2024 had 29 catches for 190 yards and only one touchdown on 34 targets over 13 games played (five starts). Sanders had 33 receptions (43 targets) for 342 yards and a score in 16 games in his rookie campaign in 2024. With Tommy Tremble set to be the team's top TE in 2026, Sanders can be ignored in most 12-team fantasy football leagues.

Sports Illustrated's John Shipley believes that Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten is "going to see a major hike" with his role and opportunity in 2026 after Travis Etienne Jr. departed in free agency. The Jags added Chris Rodriguez Jr. to their backfield this offseason, and they also have LeQuint Allen Jr. in the RB room, but Shipley believes that Tuten will be "seen as a key piece." The 23-year-old will be viewed as a popular Year 2 breakout candidate at running back this year after the fourth-rounder out of Virginia Tech had 307 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 83 rushing attempts. He also added 10 catches on 14 targets for 79 yards and another two scores through the air in 15 regular-season games. Tuten is an effective rusher of the football who can create plays on his own due to his athleticism, and he also has home run-type speed at the position. He has clear RB2 upside going into his second season in Duvall.

Some in the Philadelphia Eagles' organization think that if wide receiver A.J. Brown were no longer on the team, that DeVonta Smith "can have a similar jump in production" that Jaxon Smith-Njigba had in Seattle with the Seahawks when DK Metcalf was traded, according to Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice. Kempski also adds that if Brown is traded, Smith will "immediately become the focal point of the passing offense." He has topped 1,000 yards in three of his four NFL seasons while also catching the "dagger" in the team's second franchise Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. "He is wired for this opportunity," Kempski believes. In addition to his Super Bowl ring, Smith won the Heisman Trophy in college and two national championships with Alabama. The 27-year-old former 10th overall pick in 2021 had 77 catches for 1,008 yards and four touchdowns in 17 regular-season games in 2025, with Kempski saying he was "pretty clearly" a better player than Brown. All signs are pointing to Brown getting traded after June 1, which would give Smith a huge fantasy boost heading into next season.

The Miami Dolphins and running back De'Von Achane are not close to agreeing on a contract extension, according to Omar Kelly of The Miami Herald. The Dolphins have been adamant this offseason that they don't want to trade Achane, with general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan referring to Achane as one of the team's "three pillars." Miami released receiver Tyreek Hill (knee) and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and then traded receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos, leaving Achane as the only real explosive playmaker on offense. Achane skipped the team's voluntary offseason workouts in early April, and Sullivan has also said that "nobody is untouchable in this business." The 24-year-old is expected to be looking to beat the four-year, $48 million extension that RB James Cook got from the Buffalo Bills in August of 2025. Achane was the RB6 in half-PPR scoring last year with 1,350 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, adding 67 catches for 488 yards and four receiving touchdowns in 16 games. He is a true three-down workhorse, which is rare in the NFL these days. The explosive upside is obvious in both phases of the game, but in what could be an inconsistent offense again in Miami in 2026, Achane might have to rely on volume over anything else as an RB1 in fantasy.

When he last took the field, free agent running back Joe Mixon was able to turn 20 touches into exactly 100 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, that came 15 months ago in a divisional playoff loss that ended the Texans' 2024 campaign. A mysterious offseason foot injury sustained outside the team facility cost Mixon the entire 2025 season, and he was released prior to the start of the new league year. Because so little information was provided about the injury, dynasty managers are left in a precarious position. The soon-to-be-30-year-old Mixon has become a frustrating hold, as the potential value he could bring by latching on with an NFL team after the draft still outweighs much of what can be found on the dynasty waiver wire. Should a depth-seeking contender offer a late fourth-round pick, he'd be an easy sell, but even that kind of offer would likely require an update to his status or sorts, and as fantasy managers have come to realize all too well, waiting on a Mixon status update has become a patient man's game.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is coming off the worst statistical season of his young career, even with Denver throwing the ball at their highest rate since Sean Payton took over as head coach. After posting an average depth of target north of 15 yards as a rookie, the undersized speedster has been used puzzling close to the line of scrimmage in recent years, seeing nearly 40% of his targets behind the line of scrimmage in 2025. Denver sent away a first and third-round pick to add Jaylen Waddle to a receiving room that still features the reliable target-earner Courtland Sutton, as well as Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant, whose own skillsets share enough overlap with Mims to create a blockade to any sort of meaningful fantasy production. Mims has fallen to WR98 in RotoBaller's dynasty rankings, but as proven in the Broncos playoff loss to the Patriots, he works best as a downfield threat, so if he can capitalize on the occasional explosive play, he could still have his place in best ball formats.

Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey ended his rookie season as fantasy's RB21 in Half-PPR formats, assuming lead back responsibilities following a Week 10 foot injury to J.K. Dobbins and finishing as the RB6 over the final five weeks of the fantasy season. Unfortunately, much of that success came on the back of a generally unsustainable touchdown surge, with exactly half of his impressive 12 total touchdowns coming in that five-week span. When it comes to repeatable patterns, his efficiency metrics were far less inspiring. Running behind one of the best offensive lines in football, his yards over expectation per attempt ranked 48th in the league according to the NFL's Next Gen Stats, almost two full yards and 44 spots behind Dobbins. The Broncos re-signed Dobbins on what is essentially a one-year deal with a second-year option, which could be viewed as a small victory for Harvey managers in a strong running back free-agent class. However, with 10 weeks of existing data, in which Dobbins out-touched Harvey 164 to 75, expectations of a year-two breakout should remain tempered. Harvey does offer additional value as the primary pass-catching back in a Sean Payton offense, though with the Broncos spending big to acquire wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, the competition for targets will be stiffer in 2026, following a 2025 season in which Denver's 58.8% passing rate already represented a six-season high in Payton's historically run-heavy offense.

After finishing his 2024 season as the QB4, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield picked things right back up in 2025, playing some of the best ball of his career and garnering early MVP buzz. Through 10 games, the Buccaneers sat at 6-3 with Mayfield averaging more than 240 passing yards per game to go with his 8:1 touchdown to interception ratio. At 30 years old, Mayfield was priced as high as the dynasty QB10. The rest of the way, Tampa went 2-6, with Mayfield throwing for fewer than 188 yards per game, with only 10 touchdowns to his nine interceptions. His receiving core suffered injury after injury, and for whatever reason, he was unable to recapture the early-season magic he had with rookie Emeka Egbuka. Mike Evans has now moved on, leaving Egbuka, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan atop the depth chart, along with two capable pass-catching backs in Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell. Mayfield enters 2026 as RotoBaller's dynasty QB19, and at 31, there's likely little he can do to reclaim QB1 status, even if he is still capable of producing multiple top-12 finishes. A newfound rushing element over his past two seasons helps provide a healthy floor, but at this point, Mayfield profiles as a high-upside QB2 in superflex leagues.

Atlanta Falcons running back Brian Robinson Jr. spent his 2025 season in San Francisco as the primary backup to Christian McCaffrey. While it didn't work out for Robinson's fantasy managers, NFL fans in general were fortunate to see McCaffrey play a full 17-game slate, and Robinson ended the year with career lows of 400 yards and two touchdowns on only 92 carries. He has now signed a one-year deal with Atlanta to back up another of the league's premier backs in Bijan Robinson. While the latter Robinson has not missed a start through his first three seasons in the league, his versatility has allowed for a unique opportunity to have two backs on the field at once. Twice in his career, he has lined up for more than 150 snaps at wide receiver, and his previous backup, Tyler Allgeier, averaged more than 10 touches per game across their three seasons together. The Falcons do welcome a new staff, with head coach Kevin Stefanski and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees leaving behind a Cleveland team that tended to lean heavily on one back when given the opportunity. However, neither has ever coached a player with Robinson's skillset, and they would be wise to take advantage, leading to a safe enough floor for Robinson Jr. to hold standalone value on top of being a must-roster insurance back.

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) is still an intriguing dynasty option as he works his way back from a torn ACL. Kraft ranked as the overall TE1 in PPR leagues last year before suffering the season-ending injury in Week 9. He had carved out a prominent role in the Packers' offense, emerging as Jordan Love's favorite target over an uninspiring group of wide receivers. We could see Kraft have an equally large workload in 2026, especially after the Packers traded away Dontayvion Wicks and watched Romeo Doubs depart in free agency. Health is the biggest concern for Kraft, and while it seems like he should be ready for the season opener, it's unclear if the effects of his recovery will have any impact on his mobility or production. We wouldn't be surprised if he picks up right where he left off, and even if he isn't the TE1 overall, he certainly has top-five value at the tight end position going forward. Given that Kraft has tremendous upside and is just 25 years old, he's a very appealing option in dynasty fantasy football leagues. The aforementioned ACL tear has dropped his price in dynasty trade talks, so managers might be able to buy low on Kraft this offseason.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is trending up in dynasty leagues ahead of the 2026 season. The Jaguars acquired Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders in a midseason trade last year, and the change of scenery was exactly what he needed to become a weekly fantasy contributor. The former undrafted free agent emerged as the overall WR17 in half-PPR leagues from Week 11-18. Not only was he a productive fantasy receiver, but he also flourished as the best receiver in Jacksonville. With Travis Hunter (knee) injured and Brian Thomas Jr. enduring a second-year slump, Meyers capitalized on the opportunity to produce. Going forward, he has a chance to remain the top receiver in Jacksonville. Hunter is expected to play fewer offensive snaps next year, Thomas' future with the Jaguars remains uncertain, and Parker Washington has taken a step forward but is unlikely to pass Meyers on the depth chart. Fortunately for all the receivers, quarterback Trevor Lawrence has shown that he can support multiple fantasy-relevant skill players. Meyers ranks as the WR38 in the latest dynasty rankings, but his recent three-year extension confirms that he's part of the Jaguars' long-term vision. He has top-24 upside in 2026.
