Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary, who has been the subject of trade talks, doesn't expect to return to the team in 2026, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. The Buffalo Bills are releasing wide receiver Curtis Samuel on Friday, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. The move comes a day after Buffalo agreed to send two draft picks to the Chicago Bears in exchange for receiver DJ Moore. It's not like Samuel was a big contributor last year, though, as he played in only six regular-season games and caught seven of his nine targets for 81 yards and one touchdown. In his first year in Buffalo in 2024, the 29-year-old caught 31 of 46 targets for 253 yards and one touchdown in 14 regular-season games (two starts). The former second-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2017 out of Ohio State will look to latch on with another team this offseason as veteran receiver depth. The Miami Dolphins are expected to release kicker Jason Sanders (hip) after the two sides could not agree on a new contract, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. Sanders will leave the team with a streak of 27 straight made field goals, including going 9-for-9 on his last 50-plus-yard field goals. However, he did not kick at all last year due to a hip injury that he suffered in training camp. The Dolphins drafted the 30-year-old in the seventh round in 2018 out of New Mexico, and he's converted on 84.6% of his 221 field-goal attempts for the team in the last seven seasons. The Las Vegas Raiders are widely expected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in April's 2026 NFL draft, but "their preference is to not start him immediately," according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. The New York Giants and running back Devin Singletary agreed to a restructured contract on Friday to keep him in New York in 2026, sources told Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports. Singletary has 1,144 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns in his two seasons with the Giants, but he figures to be buried on the RB depth chart going into next season behind Cam Skattebo (ankle) and Tyrone Tracy Jr. The Giants have been rumored to be in the RB market this offseason as well, which can't bode well for the 28-year-old. The former third-rounder in 2019 out of Florida Atlantic by the Buffalo Bills had 119 carries in 2025 for 437 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games played, adding a career-low 18 receptions for 151 yards and no touchdowns as a receiver. Barring an injury to Skattebo or Tracy in 2026, Singletary will be off the fantasy radar in redraft leagues.

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard lost hold of his lead-back role during the 2025 season, but he has a glaring opportunity to win back the starting job in 2026. Rico Dowdle supplanted Hubbard atop the depth chart for a decent portion of last year, but with Dowdle headed for free agency and unlikely to re-sign, the job appears to be Hubbard's to lose. We can't rule out the Panthers drafting or signing a different running back to work alongside Hubbard, especially as more and more teams trend toward the shared backfield approach. However, it's worth noting that the Panthers have Trevor Etienne and Jonathon Brooks (knee) on the verge of making an impact, so perhaps Carolina will proceed with Hubbard atop the depth chart and Etienne and Brooks gradually taking on larger roles. The Panthers are also motivated to feed plenty of touches to Hubbard, as they signed him to a four-year extension just over a year ago. He was a top-28 fantasy running back in 2023 and 2024, but he dropped to RB38 with 511 rushing yards, 223 receiving yards, and four touchdowns last year. Hubbard's job security and the imminent departure of Dowdle should push him back into the top-25 range. As a result, he's a very appealing buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues this offseason.
