PACKERS SIGN FORREST GREGG TO HELP FORTIFY O-LINE
Wed Sep 30 12:22pm ET
First look at Gregg in a Packers uniform.
In a desperate bid to fix an offensive line plagued by penalties and protection breakdowns, the Green Bay Packers have signed 9-time Pro Bowler offensive tackle Forrest Gregg to a one-year deal for the remainder of the 2026 season.

While NFL analysts have pointed out the obvious logistical hurdles—mainly that Gregg passed away in 2019 at the age of 85—Packers fans are largely looking past minor technicalities. Following a string of frustrating performances where modern blocking schemes crumbled, local observers openly joked on social media that a 2026 version of Gregg would still yield higher pass-blocking grades than the current active roster.

The move follows Green Bay's desperate signings of other has-been linemen Laken Tomlinson, Mekhi Becton and Kevin Zeitler this earlier this week.
