Christian Yelich Mon Jun 2 9:00pm CT

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich hit a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Reds. This was his fourth home run in the past six games, bringing his season total to 13. He's slashing .233/.316/.434 and also has 10 stolen bases to go along with the 13 bombs. That puts him on a pace to exceed 30 homers and 25 steals, which proves that the former MVP is still an elite option for fantasy. Monday's performance was especially encouraging to see after he left Sunday's game after getting hit in the hand by a pitch, as the outfielder seems to have brushed it off.

Hunter Goodman Mon Jun 2 8:40pm CT

Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman went 3-for-5 with two home runs in Monday's 6-4 win over the Marlins. He scored three runs and drove in three. The 25-year-old needed a game like this, as he entered the contest on a 14-game homer drought. It brings his season total to nine, to go along with a .273/.322/.458 slash line. He has a high floor for fantasy thanks to his everyday playing time with half of it being in Coors Field. The slugger has started 32 games as the catcher and 23 games as the designated hitter, making him a constant force in the middle of that lineup.

Brooks Raley Mon Jun 2 8:30pm CT

New York Mets relief pitcher Brooks Raley (elbow) has begun throwing batting practice to live hitters, reports Mike Puma of the New York Post. The lefty is recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent last May and could advance to a rehab stint by the end of the month. He'll be hoping to retain his form from before the injury, as he posted a 2.80 ERA in 53 innings in 2023 and threw eight scoreless appearances in 2024 before suffering the elbow injury. The 36-year-old won't be relevant in most fantasy leagues, but could be helpful in deep holds leagues if he finds his way back into high leverage situations for New York.

Sean Manaea Mon Jun 2 8:20pm CT

New York Mets starting pitcher Sean Manaea (oblique) threw 29 pitches in a live bullpen session on Monday, reports Laura Albanese of Newsday. Depending on how his body feels, the Mets will decide if he needs one more bullpen or if he's ready to go on a rehab assignment. The lefty has yet to debut this season after suffering a strained oblique in February, so his rehab stint is likely to be lengthy. Ideally, he will be able to return by the end of June and follow up a strong 2024 season where he posted a 3.47 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. He was especially effective late in the year after lowering his arm slot, which was a change inspired by watching Chris Sale. He's a solid injury stash for fantasy and will only become more valuable as he gets closer to returning.

Justin Verlander Mon Jun 2 7:20pm CT

San Francisco Giants right-hander Justin Verlander (pectoral) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Tuesday at Oracle Park before the game against the division-rival San Diego Padres, according to MLB.com's Justice delos Santos. Verlander threw 40 pitches during a bullpen session last Tuesday as he recovers from a strained right pectoral muscle. It's still unknown if the 42-year-old future Hall of Famer will go on a minor-league rehab assignment, but we could have more clarity on that after his second bullpen session on Tuesday. Verlander is no longer the dominant pitcher who won three Cy Young awards, and he's also been battling injuries in the twilight of his career. Before his injury in his first year in the Bay Area, Verlander had gone 0-3 with a 4.33 ERA (4.77 FIP) and 1.40 WHIP with 41 K's and 21 walks in 52 innings over 10 starts.

Tyler Glasnow Mon Jun 2 7:10pm CT

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) is still playing catch but experienced more body soreness after his first bullpen session, according to Dodger Blue's Matthew Moreno. The Dodgers are now trying to figure out how/when to start ramping Glasnow back up. The good news is that manager Dave Roberts didn't say that Glasnow's soreness was shoulder-specific, but the bottom line is that the 31-year-old hard-throwing hurler now appears to be in real danger of not being able to return to the team's starting rotation until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Even if Glasnow recovers quickly, he's not eligible to return from the 60-day injured list until June 27. Fantasy managers must remain patient and keep him stashed in all formats for now. Glasnow was a first-time All-Star with the Blue in 2024 and hasn't had a K/9 under 10 since 2017.

Marcell Ozuna Mon Jun 2 7:00pm CT

Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said that outfielder Marcell Ozuna (hip) has been playing through a hip injury that will need to be managed for the rest of the season. "It's one of those things he is going to have to manage and get to the offseason," Anthopoulos said. As things stand now, the 34-year-old veteran isn't going on the injured list, but the Braves could give him more frequent rest when it's warranted. The three-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger winner has had a strong .284/.427/.474 slash line and .901 OPS in 55 games so far in 2025, including a league-high 48 walks, 10 home runs, 25 RBI and 27 runs scored for the Braves. Ozuna hasn't shown any signs of being affected by an injury as a hitter so far this year, but his production will be closely watched now. Fantasy managers should continue starting Ozuna as they normally would.

Miguel Andujar Mon Jun 2 6:50pm CT

The Athletics announced on Monday that they placed third baseman/outfielder Miguel Andujar (oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a strained right oblique and recalled outfielder JJ Bleday from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Given the nature of oblique injuries, there's no guarantee that Andujar will be able to return from the IL when he's eligible. The 30-year-old veteran has played both left field and third base for the A's this year and has hit just under .300 in 180 plate appearances, however, it's come with limited counting stats in three home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored and one stolen base in 46 games played. With Andujar out a while, Bleday should see everyday playing time with rookie outfielder Denzel Clarke struggling at the plate in his first taste of big-league pitching. Drew Avans is starting in left field on Monday, while CJ Alexander is at the hot corner for the A's.

Gunnar Hoglund Mon Jun 2 6:40pm CT

The Athletics announced on Monday that they placed right-handed pitching prospect Gunnar Hoglund (hip) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to June 1) with a left-hip impingement and recalled right-hander Elvis Alvarado from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. It's quite possible Hoglund's hip injury was bothering him in his last start on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays, when he allowed a season-high eight earned runs on 10 hits (four homers) while walking two and striking out only one in six innings of work. The team's No. 14 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has been inconsistent in his first six MLB starts, going 1-3 with a 6.40 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with only 23 strikeouts and 11 walks in his 32 1/3 innings. It's unclear who will take Hoglund's spot in the starting rotation, and there's a chance he goes back to the minors when he's over his hip injury.

Gavin Sheets Mon Jun 2 6:30pm CT

San Diego Padres outfielder/designated hitter Gavin Sheets (head) is not in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener at Oracle Park against the division-rival San Francisco Giants. Tyler Wade will start in left field and bat seventh against Giants right-hander Logan Webb, with third baseman Manny Machado serving as the DH. Jose Iglesias is at the hot corner and is hitting eighth. Although Wade has four hits and an RBI in 10 career at-bats in his career against Webb, fantasy managers setting DFS lineups should avoid him as a sleeper. Sheets, who has been one of SD's best bats in 2025, suffered multiple injuries in Sunday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates when he crashed into the left-field wall face-first. Although Sheets is considered day-to-day for now, it's still possible he requires a stint on the injured list.

Jerar Encarnacion Mon Jun 2 6:20pm CT

The San Francisco Giants activated outfielder Jerar Encarnacion (hand) from the 60-day injured list on Monday and optioned outfielder Luis Matos to Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic. Encarnacion isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's contest against the division-rival San Diego Padres, but the right-handed-hitting outfielder could see decent playing time now that he's back. The 27-year-old Dominican suffered a fractured left hand in spring training that caused him to miss the first two months of the regular season. Encarnacion was tearing it up in spring training before his injury and looked to be a big part of the lineup, so he's worth a waiver-wire pickup for outfield depth in deep-mixed fantasy leagues now that he's back. In 58 games in his two MLB seasons, Encarnacion has hit .221/.250/.389 with eight home runs and 33 RBI.

Elly De La Cruz Mon Jun 2 6:20pm CT

Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona said that shortstop Elly De La Cruz will be placed on the bereavement list following Wednesday's game against the division-rival Milwaukee Brewers following his sister's death over the weekend. De La Cruz will miss at least several days as he mourns the loss of his sibling, so it remains to be seen if he'll play at all during this weekend's series against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks that starts on Friday. The 23-year-old can do just about everything and then some on a baseball field and is a must-start anytime he's in the starting lineup for Cincy, but fantasy managers are going to be without him for a bit later this week/weekend. De La Cruz enters Monday's series opener against Milwaukee with a .258/.331/.455 slash line, 12 home runs, 42 RBI, 45 runs and 17 steals in a league-high 60 games played.

    From RotoBaller

Will Smith Mon Jun 2 6:10pm CT

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith will take the day off in Monday's series opener at Dodger Stadium against the visiting New York Mets. Rookie Dalton Rushing is behind the plate to catch right-hander Dustin May and will hit eighth against Mets right-hander Paul Blackburn, who is coming off the injured list to make his first start of the season. Smith will take a seat after starting each of the team's last four games. The 30-year-old veteran continues to be one of the best hitting catchers in baseball in one of the best lineups in the game. Smith, a former first-rounder, is slashing a strong .333/.444/.503 with a 948 OPS, five home runs, 30 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases on the year. Rushing hasn't seen a ton of playing time in his first seven games, but has gone 6-for-22 (.273) with a homer and seven RBI. He'll have little DFS upside in the eight-hole on Monday, though.

    From RotoBaller

Blake Snell Mon Jun 2 6:10pm CT

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Blake Snell (shoulder) said the plan is to get back on a mound to throw a bullpen session next week in San Diego during a series against the division-rival Padres. Snell only made two starts in his first season with the Dodgers before landing on the injured list with a shoulder injury, and he hasn't thrown off a mound since suffering a setback with his left shoulder in late April. The good news is the 32-year-old two-time Cy Young winner doesn't have any structural damage and continues to ramp up. There's no clear timetable for Snell's return to L.A.'s starting rotation, but it wouldn't be a surprise if we don't see him until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Snell allowed only two earned runs in his two starts earlier this year but walked eight and struck out four in nine innings. Despite injury issues the last two years, Snell should be stashed in all fantasy leagues.

Colton Cowser Mon Jun 2 6:00pm CT

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser (thumb) was activated off the 60-day injured list on Monday. Cowser is finally back with the team after missing a majority of the season due to a fractured left thumb. Cowser figures to immediately slide into the starting outfield, especially with Cedric Mullins (hamstring) sidelined right now. Last season, Cowser blasted 24 home runs with 69 RBI, and nine stolen bases with the O's. The hope is that he can continue that success in 2025. Cowser is 2-for-16 to begin the season, but that's a small sample size. The left-handed slugger should be worth rostering in most fantasy formats. In a corresponding move, outfielder Cooper Hummel has been designated for assignment.

    From RotoBaller

Mark Vientos Mon Jun 2 6:00pm CT

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This marks the third time that Vientos has sat out over the last seven games. Vientos has been struggling at the plate lately, so maybe some extra rest will help him get back on track. In his absence, Jared Young will serve as the designated hitter while Brett Baty covers third base versus right-hander Dustin May on Monday. Vientos remains worth rostering in most fantasy leagues, but that could change if he continues to lose playing time.

    From RotoBaller

Royce Lewis Mon Jun 2 5:50pm CT

Minnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis will head to the bench ahead of Monday's game against the Athletics. This marks the third time in the last six games that Lewis has been absent from the starting lineup. He's in the middle of an 0-for-30 stretch at the plate, so it's not shocking to see the Twins trying another option at the hot corner. On Monday, Brooks Lee will cover third base and bat third versus right-hander Luis Severino. Lewis is quickly losing fantasy value the longer this cold stretch continues. The potential is there, but the injuries and this slump are making it tough to justify rostering him in fantasy leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Jordan Beck Mon Jun 2 5:40pm CT

Colorado Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck will receive a rare off day on Monday. Beck is out of the starting lineup after playing in 39 straight games. He'll sit out against the Miami Marlins after going 1-for-19 over his last five games. In his place, Sam Hilliard will cover left field and bat in the leadoff spot against right-hander Max Meyer. The expectation is that Beck will be back in the lineup on Tuesday. His combination of speed and power make him worth a look in most fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Spencer Torkelson Mon Jun 2 5:40pm CT

Detroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Torkelson will get a rest day here after registering only two hits over his last three games. The right-handed slugger has lost some steam after coming out of the gate hot to begin the season. Despite that, Torkelson still has good value because of his pop with the bat. Torkelson has 14 homers and 42 RBI, which makes him worth rostering in most fantasy formats. In his absence, Colt Keith will cover first base and sixth versus right-hander Jonathan Cannon on Monday.

    From RotoBaller

Mookie Betts Mon Jun 2 5:30pm CT

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Mookie Betts (toe) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the New York Mets. This marks the fourth straight game that Betts has missed due to a fractured toe. It sounds like Betts is doing better and is hopefully going to play on Tuesday. That being said, fantasy managers might only be without Betts for one more game. In the meantime, Hyeseong Kim will cover shortstop and bat ninth versus right-hander Paul Blackburn. The Dodgers are expected to re-evaluate Betts on Tuesday, so fantasy managers should check back for another update.UPDATE: Betts did some running at Dodger Stadium on Monday and is going through defensive drills in hopes of returning for Game 2 of the series versus the Mets on Tuesday.
