Cincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson and first baseman Christian Encarnacion-Strand are out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Stephenson will take a seat after starting in four of the last five games, in which four of them were behind the plate. Jose Trevino will take over behind the plate and bat sixth versus right-hander Bailey Ober. Spencer Steer and Santiago Espinal will cover the corner infield spots with Encarnacion-Strand getting a rest day after going 0-for-8 over his last two games. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly with these two sitting out.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielders Jonatan Clase (knee) and Myles Straw (ankle) are absent from the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both players were forced to exit early during Tuesday's game due to injury. Unsurprisingly, both players will sit out a day later, but are still considered day-to-day right now. The Blue Jays are also without Daulton Varsho (hamstring) right now, so they can't afford to lose anymore outfielders. In the meantime, George Springer, Davis Schneider, and Addison Barger will cover the outfield on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jorge Soler and rookie second baseman Christian Moore will both take Wednesday's game off against the New York Yankees in the Bronx. Luis Rengifo is making the start in right field and will hit sixth, while Scott Kingery starts at the keystone and bats eighth versus Yankees left-hander Ryan Yarbrough. Soler has really struggled in his last 14 games, striking out almost 40% of the time while going 5-for-42 in the month of June. Moore, the team's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, has a triple in his first 15 MLB plate appearances while walking one and fanning five times in his first five games with the Halos. The 22-year-old has plenty of power upside, but don't expect him to hit for average. Rengifo has just one hit in 10 career at-bats against Yarbrough, while Kingery has one hit and three RBI against the lefty in four ABs.

Washington Nationals outfielder Alex Call is on the bench again on Wednesday against the visiting Colorado Rockies at Nationals Park. He'll take a seat again in favor of rookie Daylen Lile, who is starting in right field and batting seventh against Rockies right-hander German Marquez. At least for the time being, the Nationals are choosing to sit Call over Lile after recalling the prospect earlier this week from Triple-A Rochester. The 22-year-old Lile has so far struggled at the plate in his first 13 big-league games in 2025, going 7-for-39 (.179) with a homer, three doubles, a triple, three RBI, five runs and eight strikeouts in 44 plate appearances. Meanwhile, Call has slashed .276/.379/.393 with a .772 OPS in his 145 at-bats. The 30-year-old Call is the odd man out for now, but that could change quickly if Lile continues to struggle.

Philadelphia Phillies rookie infielder Otto Kemp will take a seat on the bench for the start of Wednesday's contest against the division-rival Miami Marlins. Edmundo Sosa is starting at the hot corner and is batting eighth against Marlins right-handed pitching prospect Adam Mazur. This will be Kemp's first time sitting out since he was called up from the minors on June 7 in the wake of Bryce Harper's (wrist) placement on the injured list. The 25-year-old has been starting at third with Alec Bohm covering across the diamond at first base, and he's gone 10-for-36 (.278) with a double, four RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base. When Harper returns from the IL, it's expected that Kemp will return for more seasoning in the minors at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Per MLB Pipeline, Kemp is ranked as the Phillies' No. 24 prospect.

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Wednesday that they recalled outfield prospect Billy Cook from Triple-A Indianapolis and placed outfielder Bryan Reynolds on the paternity list in a corresponding move. Cook, the team's No. 18 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was initially scheduled to start in center field and bat ninth against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal on Wednesday before the game was postponed due to inclement weather. The 26-year-old will provide the Bucs with outfield depth over the next several days with Reynolds away from the team, but after that he'll probably head back to the farm. Cook was hitting .266/.350/.329 with no homers and 10 steals in 62 games for Indy at the time of his call-up. In a 16-game cup of coffee in the majors in 2024, Cook went 11-for-49 (.224) with three homers, eight RBI and a steal.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game at Comerica Park against a tough left-hander. Outfield prospect Billy Cook will make the start in center field and hit ninth against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal after being recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Cruz could use the day off after going 10-for-50 (.200) with a homer, four RBI, seven steals, nine walks and 20 strikeouts in 60 plate appearances in 14 games so far in the month of June. The former shortstop hasn't hit for average (.223) but has 13 long balls, 30 RBI, 40 runs scored and a league-leading 25 stolen bases. The 26-year-old has also struck out a league-high 91 times in his 279 trips to the plate in his fifth year in the majors. Fantasy managers will want to avoid Cook as a deep sleeper in DFS in what will be just his 17th big-league game.

Miami Marlins right-hander Max Meyer (hip) said on Wednesday that he will visit with a hip specialist. The news comes after Meyer was seen throwing before Monday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he must not have felt great after that. He is recovering from a left-hip impingement, with his last start for Miami coming back on June 2. Even if the 26-year-old receives good news from a specialist, he's unlikely to return to the team's starting rotation until the second half of the year. The former first-rounder (third overall) in 2020 out of Minnesota missed all of 2023 due to Tommy John surgery and teased his upside early last year before struggling down the stretch. Meyer has plenty of strikeout upside, but he was inconsistent again this year before his hip injury, posting a 4.73 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 68 K's and 20 walks over his 12 starts.

Miami Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill (hamstring) dealt with some cramping in his left hamstring during his start on Tuesday against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies, according to manager Clayton McCullough. The good news is the team doesn't expect any lingering effects, and Quantrill should be ready to make his next start next Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. The 30-year-old allowed three earned runs on four hits (one homer) while walking none and striking out only two in four innings in a no-decision on Tuesday. He has gone 3-7 with a career-worst 5.68 ERA (4.44 FIP) and 1.47 WHIP with 48 strikeouts and 19 walks in 63 1/3 innings over 14 starts in his first year with the Marlins. Even with a ballpark upgrade in Miami over Coors Field last year, Quantrill has not been very good and should be avoided for streaming purposes in his next start.

Miami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez and Kyle Stowers will head to the bench on Wednesday against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies with a lefty on the mound. Heriberto Hernandez is starting in right field and batting cleanup, while Javier Sanoja is in left field and hitting ninth against Phillies lefty Ranger Suarez. It's the second straight game on the bench for Sanchez with the Fish facing another southpaw. He has hit just .172 (5-for-29) with one of his seven homers on the year and 10 K's in 33 trips to the plate against lefties. The 27-year-old could be back on the bench in Thursday's series finale with another lefty on tap. Hernandez is in a prime run-producing spot in the lineup and has been hot in his first 13 big-league games, going 12-for-34 (.353) with a homer, two doubles and three RBI. Sanoja should be faded as a deep DFS sleeper.

Miami Marlins outfielder Dane Myers (elbow) is back in center field and is hitting sixth for Wednesday's game against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Ranger Suarez. Myer was hit by a pitch on his left elbow and left the game early on Monday before sitting out the second game of the series on Tuesday. The 29-year-old will return on Wednesday, though, and faces a familiar pitcher. He has faced Suarez 12 times in his career and is hitting .417 against him with a 1.084 OPS and three RBI. Myers has gone 43-for-129 (.333) in 45 games in his third year in the big leagues, but he lacks a lot of DFS upside with just four home runs, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored and eight stolen bases. His contact skills and speed are what make him attractive as outfield depth in deeper fantasy formats for one of the worst teams in baseball.

The New York Yankees reinstated right-hander JT Brubaker (ribs) from the 60-day injured list on Wednesday before their game at Yankee Stadium against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Brubaker will be making his season and team debut in pinstripes when he gets into a game after being acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates last March. The 31-year-old had Tommy John surgery back in 2023 and also dealt with an oblique strain, which is why he hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2022 with Pittsburgh. He was also struck by a comebacker and fractured three ribs back in spring training. He is built up as a starter, but Brubaker is fully expected to work in a long-relief role out of the bullpen. In his three MLB seasons with the Bucs, he went 9-28 with 4.99 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 324 strikeouts and 109 walks in 315 2/3 innings over 63 outings (61 starts).

New York Yankees right-handed reliever Luke Weaver (hamstring) threw a live batting practice session at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, and manager Aaron Boone said it's possible that Weaver could skip a minor-league rehab assignment. Weaver strained his left hamstring on June 3 and was given a timetable of four to six weeks, but he has made excellent progress and could rejoin the big-league squad this weekend. The 31-year-old threw upwards of 20 pitches on Tuesday over two innings and said he "felt great." He said he hasn't felt anything in his hamstring since a day or two after he hurt it while stretching. Weaver was the Yankees' closer at the time of his injury and had a 1.05 ERA and eight saves in 25 2/3 innings. However, Devin Williams has looked much better since Weaver's injury and hasn't blown a save since Weaver went on the IL.

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop prospect Cooper Pratt smacked a pair of doubles and hit a sacrifice fly in five plate appearances on Tuesday for Double-A Biloxi, driving in three runs and scoring once in the contest. The 20-year-old has caught fire over the last seven games, going 11-for-22 (.500) with three doubles, seven RBI, eight runs scored, two steals, and a 6:3 BB:K. The outburst has pushed his batting average to a more respectable .249, and thanks to a 10.2 percent walk rate, he's posting a solid .341 OBP. The Brewers' third-ranked prospect also has a better-than-average strikeout rate of 14.9 percent, which should eventually give the Brewers some confidence to give him some run at Triple-A later this year, as long as he continues to hit.

New York Yankees first baseman/designated hitter Ben Rice is making his first start of the year at catcher on Wednesday and will bat sixth against the visiting Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Jack Kochanowicz. Rice has only appeared in seven games at the big-league level behind the plate, with this being his first career start. The Yankees will need to be more creative to keep Rice's bat in the lineup consistently with Giancarlo Stanton now back. With Rice behind the dish, Austin Wells will retreat to the bench. The 26-year-old Rice will become even more valuable in fantasy leagues if he is able to gain catcher eligibility this year. Although he's hitting just .229 (49-for-214), Rice has 12 homers and is in the 94th percentile in average exit velocity. His .294 xBA ranks 10th in MLB. He has a hit in four career at-bats against Kochanowicz.

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton and infielder DJ LeMahieu are both out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Arizona Diamondbacks outfielders Pavin Smith and Alek Thomas are both out on Wednesday against the hosting Toronto Blue Jays with a left-handed pitcher on the mound. Randal Grichuk is serving as the designated hitter and will bat sixth, while rookie Tim Tawa is starting in center field and batting eighth against Blue Jays left-hander Eric Lauer. Smith will grab some pine after starting each of the team's last nine games. In those nine contests, the 29-year-old lefty hitter went 5-for-25 (.200) with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored. Smith is hitting a solid .271 (48-for-177) but has contributed only five home runs, 18 RBI and 26 runs scored in 2025. Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno (hand) remains out of the team's starting lineup for Wednesday's tilt versus the hosting Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. Jose Herrera is doing the catching for left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez and will bat ninth against Blue Jays left-hander Eric Lauer. Moreno is dealing with right-hand soreness and will miss his third game in a row. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if Moreno is able to return for the series finale in Canada on Thursday. The 25-year-old Venezuelan backstop has hit a respectable .270 (47-for-174) on the year but with only five home runs, 20 RBI and 29 runs scored. Herrera should be ignored for DFS lineups in the nine-hole. The 28-year-old has gone just 14-for-79 (.177) on the year with five RBI and eight runs scored.

The Baltimore Orioles announced on Wednesday that they recalled left-hander Trevor Rogers from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned left-hander Grant Wolfram to Norfolk in a corresponding move. Rogers will start Wednesday's game against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. The 27-year-old southpaw made one spot start back on May 24 for the O's and threw 6 1/3 shutout innings with no walks and five strikeouts in a no-decision against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The Rays are middle of the pack in OPS (.712) on the year and won't be an easy task for Rogers, who had posted a 5.46 ERA and 1.55 WHIP with 26 strikeouts and eight walks in 29 2/3 innings over seven starts for Norfolk. Needless to say, Rogers will be a risky fantasy stream on Wednesday. With Cade Povich (hip) on the injured list, Rogers should make multiple starts in Baltimore's rotation.

Milwaukee Brewers catching prospect Jeferson Quero had a productive day at the plate on Tuesday for Triple-A Nashville, going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored for the Sounds. It marked the fourthmulti-hit effort in his last six games, and he's hitting .324 (12-for-37) since being reinstated from the injured liston June 3. The Brewers' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 37) hit 16 home runs in his last full season of 2023, and even though he hit five home runs in his Complex League rehab assignment, he's yet to hit one for Nashville. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old owns better-than-average strikeout (17.2 percent) and walk (9.5 percent) rates during his minor league career, which, with his solid hit and power tools, should help get him to the majors later this year, even if it's just a late-season call-up.
