Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy (oblique) returned to the lineup Monday, batting cleanup against the Colorado Rockies. His presence comes at a crucial time, as the Dodgers have dropped seven of their last 10 contests and are searching for an offensive spark. Despite being limited to just 89 games this season, Muncy has remained productive, slashing .258/.389/.491 with 17 home runs while continuing to provide valuable left-handed power. He'll slot between Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernndez in the heart of the order, giving Los Angeles a much-needed boost as they look to get back on track. If healthy, Muncy's return should immediately strengthen the lineup and restore balance to the Dodgers' offensive attack.

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola (4-8) turned in one of his best outings of the season Monday, tossing six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in a 1-0 win over the New York Mets. Nola has endured a difficult 2025 campaign, carrying a 6.24 ERA, but this marked his fifth quality start of the year and a reminder of the veteran's ability to dominate when locked in. Despite his struggles, he effectively located his fastball and kept New York's lineup off balance, earning a much-needed boost of confidence. Nola will try to build on this performance when he takes the mound Sunday against the Kansas City Royals, a matchup that could help determine whether he can find some late-season consistency.

Cleveland Guardians infielder Gabriel Arias was removed from Monday's game after suffering an apparent injury during a fourth-inning strikeout. Manager Stephen Vogt came out to check on him and allowed Arias to remain in the game for the fifth inning, but he was later replaced by Angel Martinez, with Brayan Rocchio shifting to shortstop. The team has not yet disclosed the specifics of the injury, and Arias should be considered day-to-day until more information is available. The 25-year-old has played a steady role in Cleveland's infield this season, slashing .222/.280/.363 with 10 home runs, and his availability moving forward will be key for the Guardians' lineup flexibility.

The Los Angeles Angels scratched outfielder Jo Adell (illness) from Monday's lineup against the Minnesota Twins after he began experiencing vertigo symptoms. Adell has been in the midst of a breakout season, slashing .243/.303/.507 with 35 home runs while emerging as a key power threat in the middle of the order. His absence leaves the Angels without one of their most productive bats, and rookie Matthew Lugo will take his place in right field while batting seventh. Lugo has struggled in limited action, hitting just .213/.226/.475 over 27 games, offering minimal fantasy upside against Simeon Woods-Richardson tonight.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. This doesn't come as a surprise after Buxton was forced to exit Sunday's contest due to a knee contusion. It wouldn't be shocking to see Buxton take a few days off to recover. This doesn't sound like the type of issue that will land Buxton on the shelf. Austin Martin, James Outman, and Matt Wallner will cover the outfield for Monday's contest. Fantasy managers should check back on Tuesday for another update on Buxton's status.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Chase Burns (elbow) is expected to be activated off the 15-day injured list ahead of Friday's game against the Athletics. Burns has been sidelined since early August due to a Grade 1 right elbow strain. He resumed throwing in mid-August and progressed to facing live hitters earlier this month. It appears he's going to skip a rehab assignment and take the ball against the A's later this week. Burns holds a rough 5.24 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 34.1 innings this season. However, Burns also has 57 strikeouts during that time and is one of the more intriguing young arms in the game. It's unclear if he's going to start or come out of the bullpen down the stretch of the season.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (back) has been cleared to take the mound against the Colorado Rockies on Monday. Glasnow was scratched from his scheduled start on Friday due to back stiffness. He underwent imaging that didn't reveal any significant damage. Glasnow took a few days off to rest and is now ready to take the mound again. The right-hander will have a plus-matchup against the lackluster Rockies lineup on Monday. Glasnow holds a strong 2.54 ERA across nine starts at home this season. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups and make sure Glasnow is active ahead of Monday's contest.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (concussion) will miss some additional time after exiting early during Sunday's contest. O'Hoppe will head to the 7-day concussion list after getting hit in the head by a backswing by Jacob Wilson. He'll now head to the shelf and be sidelined until at least September 16. The absence of O'Hoppe will mean Sebastian Rivero and Travis d'Arnaud will split up the catching in Los Angeles. Rivero will get the first crack behind the plate during Monday's contest against the Minnesota Twins.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (illness) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Adell was forced to make an early exit from Sunday's game after experiencing nausea. Luckily, Adell is feeling better on Monday and is back in the starting lineup without missing a game. He'll bat fifth and cover right field during Monday's contest. Adell has been on fire at the plate lately with 11 hits, five home runs, and 12 RBI over the last seven games. The 26-year-old has been too hot at the plate to leave on the waiver wire right now.
From RotoBaller
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Texas Rangers. Yelich is back in the mix after sitting out the last five games due to back soreness. He was able to take some swings over the weekend and is now feeling good enough to play again. However, Yelich isn't quite ready to get back into the outfield. He'll serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup versus left-hander Jacob Latz on Monday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.
From RotoBaller
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) is on the verge of returning from the 10-day injured list. Hoskins has joined the team for their road trip against the Texas Rangers on Monday. The right-handed slugger has a locker and is expected to be activated off the shelf ahead of Tuesday's contest. Hoskins has been sidelined since early July due to a left thumb sprain. His return will likely mean less playing time for Andrew Vaughn. At the moment, Hoskins is only worth rostering in deep leagues. Fantasy managers should check back on Tuesday for another update.
From RotoBaller
Miami Marlins left-hander Ryan Weathers (lat) is scheduled to come off the 60-day injured list and start on Thursday against the division-rival Washington Nationals, according to MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. Weathers has been cleared to rejoin the club's big-league starting rotation after making several minor-league rehab starts and getting through a live bullpen session on Monday. The 25-year-old southpaw only made it up to 68 pitches in his final rehab start and has been on the shelf since June 9 with a strained left lat, so fantasy managers should be tempering expectations for Weathers' first start back despite the juicy matchup against the Nats. The former first-rounder of the San Diego Padres has only made five starts in 2025, but he did have 80 K's with a 3.63 ERA in 16 starts over 86 2/3 innings in his first year in Miami in 2024.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Monday that they activated first baseman/outfielder Alec Burleson (wrist) from the 10-day injured list and designated infielder/outfielder Garrett Hampon for assignment in a corresponding move. The Cardinals have yet to release their starting lineup for Monday's series opener in Seattle against the Mariners, but Burleson should be in it. Burleson is back in 10 days after recovering from right-wrist inflammation and should return to a regular role all over the diamond for the Red Birds in the final month of the regular season. The 26-year-old left-handed hitter has been one of the more consistent bats for the Cards this year, and he'll be returning to a .286/.337/.451 slash line with a .788 OPS, 16 home runs, 60 RBI, 47 runs and five steals in 122 games. Burleson is six homers from setting a new career high.

The Chicago Cubs placed right-handed reliever Daniel Palencia (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with a right-shoulder strain and recalled pitcher Ethan Roberts from the minors in a corresponding move, according to Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times. Palencia didn't retire any of the five batters he faced in Sunday's series finale against the Washington Nationals and took his third blown save of the season before the team announced he had shoulder tightness. There's a good chance that the hard-throwing 25-year-old closer won't be able to rejoin Chicago's bullpen before the end of the regular season, although the Cubs will surely be hoping he can return for the postseason in October. With Palencia on the shelf for at least two weeks, fantasy managers should look for right-hander Brad Keller to take over closing duties on the North Side.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong (knee) is back in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the hosting Atlanta Braves, serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup against right-hander Bryce Elder. Willi Castro is in center field and will hit sixth. Crow-Armstrong fouled a ball off his right knee in Saturday's loss to the Washington Nationals at Wrigley Field and sat out of Sunday's series finale as a result. The 23-year-old All-Star is back in the lineup to begin the week, though, and will look to stay hot at the plate after going 4-for-9 with a double, two RBI, a steal and three runs scored in four games to start September. Barring a setback with his knee, PCA should return to defensive work in center field for the Cubbies sooner than later. Fantasy managers will want to get Crow-Armstrong back in their lineups.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker (calf) remains absent from the starting lineup for Monday's series opener in Atlanta against the Braves at Truist Park. Seiya Suzuki will man right field and bat third against Braves right-hander Bryce Elder. Tucker is missing his fifth straight start due to tightness in his left calf. Manager Craig Counsell said that Tucker looked to be improving on Sunday, but the Cubs arent't ruling out a stint on the injured list if he cannot return to action soon. The good news for the Cubs is they are getting outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong back after he fouled a ball off his knee on Saturday against the Washington Nationals. The 28-year-old Tucker was in a slump in the midst of August but was swinging the bat well once again just before he injured his calf. If he's forced to the IL, there's a chance we won't see Tucker again until the postseason in October.

The Atlanta Braves announced on Monday that they placed catcher Sean Murphy (hip) on the 10-day injured list with a right-hip labral tear and selected the contract of catcher Sandy Leon from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresonding move. The injury will sideline Murphy for the rest of the regular season, and Leon will take over backup duties behind impressive rookie Drake Baldwin. The 30-year-old Murphy is expected to undergo surgery on his hip that will keep him sidelined for roughly four months this offseason. It's an injury that Murphy had been dealing with sporadically for the last three years, so he has decided to get it taken care with Atlanta's playoff hopes out the window. The former All-Star has now hit under .200 in back-to-back seasons, although he now has 47 home runs and 138 RBI in his three seasons with Atlanta.

The Philadelphia Phillies are placing shortstop Trea Turner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a hamstring strain, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. The New York Post's Jon Heyman is reporting that the Phillies "seem hopeful" that Turner might be back for the playoffs, and even potentially right before. With the 32-year-old going on the shelf after getting hurt in Sunday's loss to the Miami Marlins, first baseman Bryce Harper will lead off for the Phils in Monday's series opener against the division-rival New York Mets. With Turner unlikely to play again in the 2025 regular season, fantasy managers in single-year leagues can now drop him for a replacement. Edmundo Sosa is starting at the 6 in Turner's place on Monday and should see the majority of starts at the position with Turner out for the remainder of September.UPDATE: Turner was diagnosed with a Grade 1, according to manager Rob Thomson. It's less severe than the Grade 2 strain he dealt with in 2024.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (shoulder) is being placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday due to a cyst in his right shoulder, according to The Athletic's Matt Gelb. In a corresponding move, infielder Otto Kemp was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and he's playing third and batting ninth in Monday's series opener against the division-rival New York Mets. The Phils also put shortstop Trea Turner (hamstring) on the IL, so they are losing the whole left side of their infield right before a crucial divisional series at Citizens Bank Park. Bohm will have an injection in his shoulder and may not be able to return to the Phillies until the playoffs in October. With Edmundo Sosa taking over at short, Kemp should be the team's everyday third baseman for the Phils moving forward. Kemp has hit .228 with four homers and 17 RBI this year in his first 46 MLB games.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (back) will miss his third straight game in Monday's series opener against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Maikel Garcia will make another start at shortstop for the Royals and will hit second against Guardians right-hander Slade Cecconi. Witt is managing lower-back spasms and is considered day-to-day, so fantasy managers will need to keep him benched and check back on Tuesday to see if he's able to return. An injured list stint can't be ruled out for the 25-year-old, though, if he's unable to get back into the lineup sometime soon. That would be a major blow to KC's chances of earning a wild-card spot in the American League, as Witt has been excellent again in 2025 with a .294/.352/.503 slash line, .855 OPS, 21 home runs, 77 RBI, 90 runs and 34 steals in his 545 at-bats.
