Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker (calf) remains absent from the starting lineup for Monday's series opener in Atlanta against the Braves at Truist Park. The Atlanta Braves announced on Monday that they placed catcher Sean Murphy (hip) on the 10-day injured list with a right-hip labral tear and selected the contract of catcher Sandy Leon from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresonding move. Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (back) will miss his third straight game in Monday's series opener against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Maikel Garcia will make another start at shortstop for the Royals and will hit second against Guardians right-hander Slade Cecconi.
