Through 67 1/3 total innings with Double-A Pensacola this season, Snelling has held a solid 3.74 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP. During this stint, Snelling has struck out 77 batters and allowed 21 walks. If he continues to find his footing at Double-A, Snelling should be in contention to earn a promotion to Triple-A Jacksonville in the second half.

Chicago White Sox catching prospect Kyle Teel went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI during the three-game victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday evening. Teel knocked an RBI single in the opening frame, which scored Miguel Vargas. Through his first taste of MLB action, Teel has continued to showcase a strong eye at the plate. New York Yankees outfield prospect Spencer Jones went 1-for-4 with his 16th home run of the season during their contest against Double-A Erie on Wednesday evening. Jones was recently named Eastern League Player of the Week and has continued to remain hot in the batter's box. Since June 1 (20 games), Jones has posted a strong .315/.398/.658 slash line with four doubles, seven home runs, and three stolen bases. Cleveland Guardians first base prospect C.J. Kayfus went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a walk during their contest against Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday evening. This was Kayfus' second-straight contest launching a grand slam. Since earning the call to Triple-A earlier this season, the No. 5-ranked prospect in Cleveland has been one of the most productive hitters at the level. Seattle Mariners catcher prospect Harry Ford went 2-for-2 with three RBI and two walks in Wednesday's 13-4 loss against Triple-A Round Rock. Ford provided nearly all of the offense for his team in this game, and continued his strong month of June. He's hitting .282/.402/.437 with a 12:14 BB:K in 71-at bats. The power output will be around average, but he has also produced a healthy number of steals throughout his time in the minor leagues which not many catchers can say. Chicago Cubs outfield prospect Owen Caissie went 1-for-2 with a home run and four walks in Wednesday's 8-7 loss against Triple-A Columbus. Caissie has combined great power and patience at Triple-A this season, with a 53 percent hard-hit rate and 12.7 percent walk rate. He's had an especially productive June, slashing .316/.435/605 with five homers in 76 at-bats. The 22-year-old slugger still has a good amount of swing and miss in his profile, but the power looks legit. He could be a candidate to be traded at the upcoming deadline or to come up to the major league roster in the case of an injury. He'd be a decent deep league and NL-only add in that case,

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-1 over Triple-A Buffalo. Crawford hit the ball hard in three of his five plate appearances on the night and slugged his first homer since May 15. The 21-year-old has maintained good plate skills this season to go with his 70-grade speed, which has helped total 26 stolen bases so far, good for fifth most in Triple-A. There's a chance Crawford is a late season call up, and he'd be viewed as a deep league and NL-only type of pickup.

The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal writes that the Chicago Cubs are already canvassing the starting pitching market and have made inquiries on Miami Marlins right-handers Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera, among many others, according to sources briefed on their plans. Alcantara is owed the balance of his $17 million salary this year and $17 million in 2026 with a $21 million club option for 2027. Cabrera is earning only $1.95 million with three more years of salary arbitration remaining. He'd be the better financial fit, but Alcantara has the much higher ceiling and is looking more like his pre-injury self after missing all of 2024 after having Tommy John surgery. The Cubs are also reportedly considering Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller, while Arizona's Zac Gallen and Baltimore's Zach Eflin could become available this summer as the July 31 trade deadline nears.

Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Logan Henderson allowed two runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against Triple-A Jacksonville. Henderson wasn't as sharp with his command in this outing, as this was only the third start all season where he walked at least three hitters. It was also the fewest number of strikeouts in a game this season, and he generated only six swings and misses on 40 swings. His numbers still look strong for the season at Triple-A, holding a 2.52 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 65:19 K:BB in 53 2/3 innings. He'll be worthy of an addition in most fantasy formats when he returns to the majors.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Emmet Sheehan didn't allow a baserunner in six perfect innings while striking out 13 in Wednesday's 16-0 win against Triple-A Sacramento. Sheehan picked up the win in dominant fashion, with a ridiculous 21 swinging strikes on 42 swings. The four-seamer sat at a season high 97.3 MPH in the outing and overpowered opposing hitters, accounting for 15 of the 21 whiffs. The 25-year-old right-hander did well in his return to the majors on June 18 with four scoreless innings and six strikeouts. He continues to build up his pitch count as he reached 73 in this outing. The Dodgers rotation has more healthy arms than rotation spots at the moment, but that can always change and with Sheehan's strikeout upside, he'd be worth an add in most formats.

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen's nightmarish first half of the season continued Wednesday in a 7-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The former All-Star fell to 5-9 after allowing five earned runs on eight hits, including two homers, and one walk in 5 1/3 innings. Gallen totaled only two strikeouts in his fourth straight subpar outing. The 29-year-old has already coughed up four or more earned runs 11 times in 17 starts. As a result, Gallen owns an undesirable 5.75 ERA through 97 innings. Although Gallen had a quality track record before this season, he's not someone either the Diamondbacks or fantasy managers can count on at this point. He's slated to face the San Francisco Giants on July 1.

Athletics closer Mason Miller finished off a 3-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday to bank his 15th save. Miller set the Tigers down in order on 16 pitches in the bottom of the ninth inning, striking out Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson swinging in the process. The 26-year-old has been surprisingly shaky at times this season, evidenced by his 4.85 ERA in 29 2/3 innings, but has put up a scoreless appearance in seven of nine tries in June. He remains a strikeout machine, having fanned almost 15 hitters per nine, and boasts a 1.15 WHIP.

Tampa Bay Rays closer Pete Fairbanks preserved a 3-0 lead and tallied his 14th save in a win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Fairbanks had to work around an error by second baseman Brandon Lowe in the bottom of the ninth, but he retired the other three hitters he faced to help the Rays keep rolling. The 31-year-old has not allowed an earned run in 11 of his past 12 appearances, which has dropped his ERA to 2.08 across 30 1/3 innings. Fairbanks hasn't exactly posted dominant strikeout and walk numbers (26:14 K:BB), but he's managing to get the job done consistently despite that.

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Max Scherzer returned from almost three months on the injured list to throw five innings against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday. The three-time Cy Young winner allowed three earned runs on six hits and logged four strikeouts against three walks over 83 pitches (55 strikes). He averaged 93.2 mph on his fastball and maxed out at 95.2. The Jays lost 5-4, but Scherzer did not factor into the decision. It was Scherzer's first appearance since a three-inning season debut on March 29, when he suffered an injury to his right thumb. The 40-year-old admitted before his activation from the IL that he wasn't sure how his thumb would hold up, so that's worth monitoring in the coming days. For now, he's scheduled to get the ball next in a showdown with the New York Yankees on Monday.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor smacked his 10th home run of the season in a 7-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Naylor, returning from a one-game absence because of a minor shoulder injury, made his presence felt immediately with a two-run blast off right-hander Sean Burke in the first inning. The Diamondbacks had little else to celebrate after that, but Naylor added a single and a walk in a 2-for-3 afternoon. While Naylor is not on pace to approach his 2024 HR total of 31, this has still been another productive season for the 28-year-old. He's slashing .307/.363/.479 with 53 RBI, 42 runs scored, 10 steals, and an excellent 12.9% strikeout rate over 321 plate appearances.

Minnesota Twins closer Jhoan Duran notched save No. 11 in a 2-0 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. Duran retired the Mariners in order on just nine pitches, inducing a groundout from MLB home run leader Cal Raleigh and striking out one along the way. It was a nice rebound by Duran, who took the loss against the Mariners on Tuesday in a poor outing. Duran has allowed a run in four of 10 appearances this month, but he has put up sparkling numbers overall. The 27-year-old has pitched to a 1.73 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP and 41:14 K:BB in 36 1/3 innings. Unfortunately, with the Twins sitting four games under .500, Duran has only received 13 save opportunities this year.

Milwaukee Brewers closer Trevor Megill pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning on Wednesday to collect his 18th save in a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Megill had an easy time of it, inducing a soft grounder from Oneil Cruz, striking out Tommy Pham, and wrapping it up with a Jared Triolo lineout to right. The right-hander needed a mere 10 pitches to get the job done. Megill has been a steady option this year with 18 saves in 20 opportunities, a 2.60 ERA, and 33:14 K:BB in 27 2/3 innings.

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two steals in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the hosting Cincinnati Reds. He also singled twice and scored two runs. It was a career day for Dominguez, and the first time he's notched four hits in a contest. The two swipes bring him up to 12 on the season. The 22-year-old has been better overall in June, carrying a .281 average (16-for-57). However, he hasn't hit a ball out of the yard in over a month (May 21) and has seen his OPS dip nearly 200 points from May (.677). Dominguez is batting a fine .279 off right-handed pitching, but is struggling against southpaws (.200). He'll need to improve there to warrant playing time in a loaded Yankees outfield.

New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in his team's 7-3 win against the visiting Atlanta Braves. Soto kicked off a big five-run fourth inning with a dinger and also capped the scoring for the Mets in the seventh with homer No. 19 of the season. The 26-year-old has been scorching at the dish in June with an otherworldly .325/.485/.753 triple slash across 77 at-bats. Over that stretch, he's tallied ten long balls, three doubles, 22 runs scored, 18 RBI, and more walks (23) than strikeouts (15). Wednesday marked his fourth multi-homer effort of the campaign, and second in the last week.
