Anthony DeSclafani Sun Jun 15 2:00pm CT

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed right-hander Anthony DeSclafani to a one-year deal on Sunday. DeSclafani recently opted out of his deal with the New York Yankees earlier in the week. The 35-year-old has quickly found a new home after making five starts in Triple-A with the Yankees organization. DeSclafani last pitched in the MLB in 2023 with the San Francisco Giants. He posted a 4.88 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 79/20 K/BB ratio across 19 appearances (18 starts) with the Giants in 2023. DeSclafani has a 4.20 ERA across 180 big league outings in his nine-year career. It's unlikely that DeSclafani will be a big difference maker, but at worst he's decent organizational depth.

Will Vest Sun Jun 15 2:00pm CT

Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Will Vest (undisclosed) was forced to make an early exit during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Vest exited with the trainer after throwing a wild pitch during the eighth inning. It's unclear what exactly is wrong, but there should be more information on his status shortly. This could be a tough blow to the Tigers bullpen considering Vest has been the primary closer lately. If he misses time, Tommy Kahnle could see more work in the ninth inning. Vest recorded two outs, allowing three hits and striking out one batter before being lifted for right-hander Brenan Hanifee.

Logan Gilbert Sun Jun 15 1:50pm CT

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert (elbow) will be activated off the injured list and start against the Boston Red Sox on Monday. Gilbert appears to be finally ready to return after being sidelined since late April due to a right elbow flexor strain. He looked strong during his most recent rehab start where he struck out six batters across five shutout innings. Before going down, Gilbert had allowed two earned runs or less in five of his first six starts this season. Gilbert needs to be rostered and started in all fantasy formats.

Eddie Rosario Sun Jun 15 1:40pm CT

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Eddie Rosario has opted out of his minor league deal and has been released on Sunday. Rosario only lasted a few weeks with the Brewers before deciding to head back into free agency. Rosario has only played in a handful of games this season between his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. The 33-year-old will look to catch on elsewhere and hopefully join a big league roster.

Tyler Soderstrom Sun Jun 15 1:20pm CT

Athletics first baseman/outfielder Tyler Soderstrom is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. This is a rare rest day for Soderstrom who has played in every game since May 5. Soderstrom was off to a fantastic start to the season, but he has slowed down lately. JJ Bleday will cover left field and bat eighth versus left-hander Noah Cameron on Sunday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly with Soderstrom heading to the bench.

    From RotoBaller

Carson Palmquist Sun Jun 15 1:10pm CT

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Carson Palmquist was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. Palmquist will head back to the big league roster with fellow starter Kyle Freeland (back) heading to the injured list. Palmquist struggled during his first stint with the Rockies. He posted a 7.77 ERA across 22 innings (five starts) with the Rockies before being sent down. The rookie southpaw is back and will take the ball against the Washington Nationals on Monday. Given his struggles, Palmquist isn't a recommended streaming option for Monday's slate.

Shota Imanaga Sun Jun 15 1:10pm CT

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Shota Imanaga (hamstring) is scheduled to make a rehab start at Triple-A Iowa on Friday. Imanaga made a rehab start on Saturday at Rookie-level Arizona Complex League. He appears to be progressing and is hopefully going to make his final rehab start this upcoming Friday. Imanaga has been out since early May due to a hamstring issue. If everything goes well, Imanaga should be back in the Cubs rotation by the end of June.

Yandy Diaz Sun Jun 15 12:50pm CT

Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz is not in the starting lineup on Sunday when the Rays conclude a series against the New York Mets. Diaz has started in each of the past seven games but will be given a maintenance day on Sunday. Over this stretch, Diaz has posted a strong .433/.485/.733 slash line with one double, one triple, two home runs, and seven RBI. Instead, the Rays will give Jonathan Aranda the start at first base, which opens the DH spot for third baseman Junior Caminero. Fantasy managers should expect Diaz to return to the starting nine on Monday evening when they begin a divisional series against the Baltimore Orioles. The Rays are a strong option in DFS this afternoon, facing New York right-hander Griffin Canning, who enters this game holding a 3.22 ERA.

Kyle Freeland Sun Jun 15 12:50pm CT

The Colorado Rockies have placed left-handed pitcher Kyle Freeland (back) on the 15-day injured list prior to their game on Sunday. The 32-year-old is dealing with lower back stiffness. In a corresponding move, the Rockies promoted left-handed pitcher Carson Palmquist from Triple-A Albuquerque. Freeland has begun to find his footing following a slow start to the campaign. Over his last three outings, Freeland has posted a solid 2.95 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP. During this stretch (18 1/3 innings), Freeland has allowed just two walks but has only struck out 13 batters. Through 73 2/3 total innings, Freeland sits with a modest 5.13 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. Given his struggles, he is not worth stashing on an IR spot while he is sidelined. Fantasy managers should expect Palmquist to see starting opportunities for the time being.

Tyler Mahle Sun Jun 15 12:40pm CT

The Texas Rangers have placed right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list prior to their contest on Sunday due to right shoulder soreness. In a corresponding move, the Rangers are promoting right-handed pitcher Kumar Rocker from Triple-A. Rocker will get the starting nod this afternoon as well. On Saturday, the team announced that the veteran was dealing with soreness and would likely hit the IL. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status while he remains out of action. The 30-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, posting a 2.34 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP across 77 innings of work. During this stretch, he has only tallied 56 punchouts and held an 8.8% walk rate. While he remains out, Rocker should see several opportunities in the rotation.

Evan Carter Sun Jun 15 12:30pm CT

Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter (writ) is back in the starting nine on Sunday when the Rangers conclude a series against the Chicago White Sox. Carter was removed from Friday's game after suffering a wrist injury. While he was not expected to return this weekend, he was able to progress enough to get the nod in the series finale. Prior to his injury, the former top prospect was beginning to heat up at the plate, posting a stellar .556/.636/1.167 line with two doubles and three long balls over his last five contests. This afternoon, Carter will start in center field and bat in the five-hole. This afternoon, Carter and the Rangers are a strong play in DFS facing Chicago White Sox right-hander Aaron Civale. Civale enters this game holding a high 4.91 ERA.

    From RotoBaller

Byron Buxton Sun Jun 15 12:20pm CT

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (elbow) was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup when they concluded a series against the Houston Astros. Buxton was pulled from Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch in the elbow. While he was initially in Sunday's lineup, the team will opt to exercise caution and give him an extra day off. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next game on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Instead, the Twins will give Harrison Bader the starting nod in center field. Buxton has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, holding a .273/.338/.502 line with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases. He has generated a stellar 53.8% hard-hit rate with a .475 xSLG. The Twins are a viable target in DFS facing Houston left-hander Brandon Walter.

    From RotoBaller

Luis Robert Sun Jun 15 12:20pm CT

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (thumb) was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to thumb soreness. Instead, the White Sox will give Michael Taylor the starting nod in center field. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Robert's status leading up to their next game on Tuesday evening against the St. Louis Cardinals. Over his last eight games, Robert has begun to find his footing at the plate, posting a .300/.364/.467 slash line with two doubles, one home run, and eight RBI. Prior to this recent surge, Robert posted a low .177/.266/.286 line with six doubles and five home runs through his first 55 games of the campaign. Robert has generated a solid 11.8% barrel rate, which suggests he should continue to see his power numbers increase throughout the summer. This afternoon, the White Sox are a viable target in DFS facing Texas right-hander Kumar Rocker.

    From RotoBaller

Paul Goldschmidt Sun Jun 15 12:10pm CT

New York Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is not in Sunday's lineup when they conclude a series against the Boston Red Sox. Instead, Ben Rice will cover first base and bat in the two-hole. The 37-year-old has been a staple in the New York starting nine throughout the campaign. Over his previous eight games, Goldschmidt has gone a bit cold at the plate, posting a .212/.297/.333 line with just one double and one home run. Through 69 total games, Goldschmidt has enjoyed a strong resurgence in the Bronx, holding a .309/.369/.453 line with seven home runs and five stolen bases. Under the hood, he has generated a solid .352 xwOBA. Fantasy managers should expect him to return to the lineup on Monday when they face the Angels. This afternoon, the Yankees are a strong target in DFS facing Boston right-hander Brayan Bello.

Kyle Tucker Sun Jun 15 12:00pm CT

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker retreats to the bench for a rest day on Sunday against the division-rival Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field. It will be only the third time all season that Tucker finds himself on the bench to start the game. Seiya Suzuki is in right field and is batting third, while Justin Turner will be the designated hitter and bat seventh against Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller. Tucker hasn't done a ton offensively in the month of June, but he's still a must-start in fantasy every time he's in the lineup and has been one of the most patient hitters in baseball in 2025. The former fifth overall pick in 2015 is currently slashing .277/.387/.504 with an .891 OPS, 13 home runs, 43 RBI, 49 runs and 17 stolen bases. Suzuki has five hits and two RBI in 10 career at-bats against Keller and will be a strong DFS play on Sunday. Turner is hitting .200 in five ABs against Keller.

    From RotoBaller

Brendan Donovan Sun Jun 15 11:40am CT

St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Brendan Donovan (toe) is back at the keystone and is batting leadoff for Sunday's series finale in Milwaukee against the division-rival Brewers and right-hander Quinn Priester. It will be Donovan's first game action since Tuesday after he was diagnosed with a sprained left big toe. The 28-year-old utility man will wear a carbon-fiber orthotic in his shoe going forward, but it remains to be seen if it will negatively impact his production at the plate. Despite having one of the slowest bats in baseball, Donovan has hit .310 (77-for-248) on the year and has an expected batting average of .304 thanks to the consistent contact he makes. There's little fantasy upside otherwise, though, as the German infielder doesn't really provide power or speed. He has one hit and an RBI in three career at-bats versus Priester.

    From RotoBaller

Adley Rutschman Sun Jun 15 11:20am CT

Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman is not in the team's starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Angels at Camden Yards. Gary Sanchez is behind the plate to catch right-hander Scott Blewett and will hit fifth against Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. It will be Rutschman's first day off since June 1. The 27-year-old switch-hitting backstop has had a good month of June so far after a slow start to the 2025 season, going 15-for-41 (.366) with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and eight runs scored in 11 games. Although six of his seven homers on the year have come against right-handers, Rutschman has gone just 34-for-157 (.217) against them. His batted-ball metrics show that more positive regression should be on the way. Sanchez came off the injured list on Saturday and promptly homered in Saturday's win. He's hit .286 in seven career at-bats against Kikuchi.

    From RotoBaller

Isaac Paredes Sun Jun 15 11:20am CT

Houston Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes (hamstring) remains on the bench for Sunday's series finale against the visiting Minnesota Twins at Daikin Park. Luis Guillorme will handle third base and will bat out of the nine-hole against Twins right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson. Paredes suffered a strained left hamstring in Thursday's win over the Chicago White Sox, but for now, the Astros aren't putting him on the injured list. The 26-year-old has been one of the team's most consistent producers on offense in his first year in Houston, so fantasy managers are certainly hoping he can return sooner than later. Paredes is slashing .255/.353/.478 with an .831 OPS, 15 homers, 42 RBI and 37 runs scored on the season. He should be stashed in all leagues if he does go on the IL. Guillorme is a light-hitting veteran infield utility man and should be avoided for DFS purposes.

    From RotoBaller

    Ryan O'Hearn Sun Jun 15 11:10am CT

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan O'Hearn (ankle) said his sore left ankle is feeling better on Sunday than it did on Saturday, but he'll remain out for the series finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. O'Hearn expects to be back to normal on Monday, which means he should be back in the lineup for the series opener in Tampa against the division-rival Rays. Coby Mayo is making another start at first and will hit seventh on Sunday against Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. O'Hearn injured his ankle in Friday's win over the Halos, but it doesn't appear to be an injury that will send him to the injured list. The lefty slugger is having the best year of his career in his third year in Baltimore, slashing .310/.391/.502 with an .893 OPS, 10 home runs, 27 RBI, 28 runs and three steals in 58 games. Fantasy managers hope this injury won't slow him down.

    From RotoBaller

Zach Agnos Sun Jun 15 10:50am CT

The Colorado Rockies have optioned right-handed pitching prospect Zach Agnos to Triple-A. In a corresponding move, the Rockies activated left-handed pitcher Austin Gomber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list. Agnos made his MLB debut earlier this season and was quickly deployed in a high-leverage role. Through his first 8 2/3 innings of work, the No. 24-ranked prospect in the system posted a 3.2 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP. During this stretch, he tallied two saves and one hold. However, over his last 3 1/3 innings, Agnos has struggled, allowing six hits and 10 earned runs. Given his recent slump, the Rockies will opt for him to continue his development with Triple-A. While he heads back to the minor leagues, fantasy managers should expect Seth Halvorsen and Tyler Kinley to operate as the go-to options in save situations.
