Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford belted a grand slam in the club's 6-0 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Crawford came to the plate in the bottom of the second and emptied the bases with a 377-foot blast against right-hander Luis Ortiz. He added a walk in a 1-for-3 afternoon. Although Crawford hadn't homered in June until Sunday, he has been a hitting machine over the past couple weeks. In 15 games since May 30, the 30-year-old has gone an incredible 25-for-57 (.439) with two HRs, nine RBI, 12 walks, and five strikeouts. After recording lackluster production a year ago, he has bounced back to slash .296/.411/.413 with six homers, 29 RBI, 30 runs, and four steals over 289 plate appearances. With Crawford ranking in the league's 85th percentile in xwOBA and in its 90th percentile in xBA, his rebound looks legitimate.

Texas Rangers right-hander Kumar Rocker (2-4) picked up his second win of the season in a 2-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Rocker allowed four hits over five scoreless innings and posted six strikeouts against one walk. It was one of Rocker's best performances during what has been a difficult season in the majors for the 25-year-old. After struggling to an 8.10 ERA in his first five starts, the Rangers placed Rocker on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder impingement on April 24. He then returned June 4 to give up five earned runs in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rangers optioned Kumar back to the minors, but a spot opened up for him when righty Tyler Mahle went on the 15-day IL with shoulder fatigue. Rocker took advantage of the opportunity on Sunday. He improved his ERA to 7.31 (3.71 xFIP) with 27 strikeouts and eight walks over 28 1/3 frames. If Rocker gets another turn in the Rangers' rotation, it could come against a subpar Pittsburgh Pirates offense over the weekend.

Atlanta Braves right-hander Grant Holmes (3-6) took a hard-luck loss against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday despite piling up 15 strikeouts. Holmes accomplished the feat over just 6 1/3 innings, but a lack of run support cost him in a lopsided 10-1 affair. The 29-year-old gave up three runs (two earned) on just two hits and two walks. Holmes has been solid overall this season - his first as a full-time starter - with a 3.97 ERA and 92 strikeouts against 34 walks over 79 1/3 frames. While he isn't a must-start for fantasy managers, Holmes does have a favorable matchup on Saturday against the Miami Marlins.

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz put together a spectacular Sunday performance in an 8-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers. De La Cruz bashed his 16th homer to highlight a 3-for-5 afternoon with three RBI and two additional runs scored. The 23-year-old has now homered in four consecutive games. Overall, De La Cruz has batted a robust .273/.352/.498 with 50 RBI, 57 runs, and 20 steals in 310 plate appearances. He's well on his way to surpassing the career-high HR (25) and RBI (76) totals that he registered a season ago. De La Cruz will get back to work Tuesday against Minnesota Twins right-hander David Festa.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ hit a walk-off single in a 3-2 defeat of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Happ, whose 10th-inning knock came against Pirates closer David Bednar, finished the afternoon 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout. This has been an unspectacular season for Happ, who's batting .249/.340/.385 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 44 runs, and four steals in 297 plate appearances. He racked up 20-plus homers, 80-plus RBI, and double-digit steals in each of the previous two seasons. Happ has a lot of catching up to do over the Cubs' final 90 games in order to approach those numbers this year. He'll face Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick on Tuesday.

Detroit Tigers reliever Will Vest (pinky) exited early in an 8-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday with an undisclosed injury. Afterward, manager A.J. Hinch told Evan Woodbery of MLive.com that "(Vest) had this feeling in his pinky. It was bothering him, so we took him out. We'll get him evaluated, and he'll run through the whole battery of tests. I have no idea what it is." Vest suffered his first loss and his third blown save of the season after allowing three unearned runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning. The right-hander left after uncorking a wild pitch. Overall, the 30-year-old has done great work this season with a 1.80 ERA, 37:9 K:BB, and 12 saves over 35 frames. If Vest requires a stint on the 15-day injured list, it should lead to more save opportunities for righty Tommy Kahnle.

San Diego Padres right-hander Nick Pivetta (7-2) collected his seventh win of the season Sunday in an 8-2 decision against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Pivetta surrendered just two runs on two hits and tallied nine strikeouts against one walk over seven innings. It was a much-needed return to form for Pivetta, who combined to allow nine earned runs over 10 innings in his previous two outings. The 32-year-old is now up to seven quality starts this season with a 3.40 ERA and 88:22 K:BB through 79 1/3 innings. Pivetta is scheduled to get the ball against the Kansas City Royals on Friday.

The San Diego Padres announced that they have placed outfielder Jackson Merrill (head) on the seven-day concussion injured list. The team selected the contract of infielder/outfielder Trenton Brooks from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move. Merrill had to leave the Padres' game early on Saturday after he was shaken up on a stolen base attempt. Considering the unpredictable nature of concussions, it's unclear how much time Merrill will miss. It's the second IL placement of the season for the 22-year-old standout, who missed most of April and a few days in May with a hamstring strain. When healthy, Merrill has hit a terrific .304/.349/.474 with five home runs and 26 RBI in 186 plate appearances. He's a big loss for the Padres and fantasy managers alike.

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is finally returning to a major league mound. The Dodgers announced that he will serve as their starting pitcher Monday against the San Diego Padres. Manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Ohtani will work as an opener, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. It'll be Ohtani's first action as a pitcher since August 2023. He underwent Tommy John surgery that September and has been on the mend since. The two-way superstar has continued to thrive as a hitter, even winning his third MVP award last year, and could now help the Dodgers' injury-ravaged pitching staff. Ohtani fared great on the mound with a 3.01 ERA, 11.36 K/9, and 3.23 BB/9 in 481 2/3 innings as a member of the Los Angeles Angels from 2018-23. However, after almost two full years away from pitching, the Dodgers will surely ease him back into the role.

Minnesota Twins third baseman Brooks Lee went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Astros. This was his second straight game with a home run and his 15th straight game with at least one hit. The 15-game hitting streak is the longest active in the majors, and he's now slashing .267/.303/.405 with seven home runs, 25 RBI, and 18 runs in 55 games. The 24-year-old has become one of Minnesota's most consistent batters, and he is a solid middle or corner infield option for deep fantasy leagues with both second base and third base eligibility.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Noah Cameron struck out seven over five shutout innings in a 3-2 loss to the Athletics. He allowed four hits and one walk. This was a nice bounce-back outing after giving up six runs in his last time out against the Yankees. Besides that one bad start, Cameron has allowed one run or less in all six of his other starts. The 25-year-old has been excellent to begin his big league career, posting a 1.91 ERA and .90 WHIP with 32 strikeouts in 42 innings. He'll look to keep things going in his next start, which is currently scheduled to be against the Padres.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Emerson Hancock shut out the Guardians over seven innings in a 6-0 win on Sunday. He allowed two hits and a walk and struck out four. This was his sixth straight start of allowing three or fewer runs, and this was the longest of the bunch. Only one other start in that span was at least six innings in length. The 26-year-old's lack of efficiency has led to a 4.48 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 2025, with only 45 strikeouts and 21 walks through 62 innings. He'll look to build on this momentum in his next start, which is lined up to be a tough matchup against the Cubs.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos hit a grand slam in Sunday's 11-4 win against the Blue Jays. It was his seventh home run of the season and his first since June 4th. The 33-year-old is now slashing .279/.322/.428 with seven home runs, 36 RBI, and 31 runs this season. The slugger's home run pace has been down so far, but if he maintains his current batting average, it would be the best he's done in that regard since he hit .309 in 2021. The veteran's strikeout rate has declined from 21.1% last season to 19.5% this season, which are both huge improvements over the 27.6% mark he posted in 2023. Castellanos is still a solid low-end starting outfielder for fantasy who will provide a good amount of counting stats.
From RotoBaller
San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. was a tough out at the plate during Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tatis struck out during his first at-bat, but the D-Backs were unable to get him out again. Tatis crushed the ball all over the park as he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI, one stolen base, and scored three runs in the victory. The 26-year-old has been unbelievable during this series against the Diamondbacks. He registered eight hits, three doubles, three RBI, and a stolen base across three games. It appears that Tatis has put that cold streak at the plate behind him.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Roki Sasaki (shoulder) has stopped his throwing program for a few days, according to manager Dave Roberts. The 23-year-old resumed throwing the baseball last week, but he isn't comfortable throwing with any intensity yet. Sasaki has been sidelined since the middle of May due to a right shoulder impingement. The expectation is that Sasaki will still need a few rehab starts before rejoining the Dodgers rotation. That being said, fantasy managers might not see Sasaki until after the All-Star break. Hopefully, Sasaki will get back to throwing by the end of the week.

San Francisco Giants third baseman Casey Schmitt (foot) was removed early during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Schmitt fouled a ball off his foot in the top of the second inning. He attempted to play through the issue before being pulled out in the bottom of the third. The assumption is that he'll undergo X-rays to determine the severity of the issue. For now, fantasy managers should consider Schmitt as day-to-day until the testing is back. Tyler Fitzgerald took over at third base and could see more time over there going forward.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kyle Harrison was traded to the Boston Red Sox in a massive trade on Sunday. Harrison was scheduled to take the mound for the Giants on Sunday night. Instead, Harrison will be headed to Boston along with Jordan Hicks, James Tibbs, and Jose Bello. In exchange, the Giants will receive slugger Rafael Devers from Boston. Harrison was rumored to be the odd man out once Justin Verlander (pectoral) returned to the rotation. Now, he'll get a chance to stick in a big league rotation with the Red Sox. Harrison has posted a 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, with 25 strikeouts in 23.2 innings with the Giants this season. The southpaw has worked as both a starter and reliever, so he should be an immediate help in Boston.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jordan Hicks (toe) is part of a massive trade with the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. Hicks is headed to Boston along with Kyle Harrison, James Tibbs, and Jose Bello in exchange for slugger Rafael Devers. Hicks was recently placed on the 15-day injured list with right toe inflammation. Before that, Hicks posted a 6.47 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, with 43 strikeouts over 48.2 innings of work. The Hicks experiment didn't work out in San Francisco. They signed him to a four-year deal in 2024, so the Red Sox will be on the hook through 2027. He has a good track record and has worked as both a starter and reliever in his career. We'll see how the Red Sox decide to use him once he's healthy enough to pitch again.

The Washington Nationals are promoting third base prospect Brady House to the major leagues. House has been one of the most productive hitters at the Triple-A level this season. Through 65 games with Triple-A Rochester, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system has posted a stellar .304/.353/.519 line with 15 doubles, 13 home runs, and a 75:20 K:BB. Last summer, House struggled during his first taste of Triple-A as he posted a modest .250/.280/.375 with just 10 doubles and six long balls through his first 54 games at the top level of the minor leagues. Earlier on Sunday, the Nationals optioned third baseman Jose Tena to Triple-A, which suggests House should be given most of the opportunities at third base. Given his steady progression and production at Triple-A this season, House is worth adding in all standard formats.

The San Francisco Giants are acquiring Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers in exchange for right-handed pitchers Jordan Hicks, Jose Bello, and Kyle Harrison, and outfield prospect James Tibbs III. Devers has spent his time tenure in the major leagues with the Boston Red Sox. Earlier this season, Devers expressed frustration with the club, which could have played a role in the trade. Through 73 games this season, Devers has only been deployed as a DH and posted a .272/.401/.504 slash line with 18 doubles and 15 home runs. Through nine seasons in Boston, Devers has made the All-Star team three times. He enjoyed his best campaign in 2021, where he launched a career-best 38 round-trippers. In San Francisco, fantasy managers should expect Devers to likely cover the hot corner, especially with Matt Chapman (hand) on the IL. However, once Chapman returns, Devers will likely return to a DH role or potentially see time at first base. In Boston, the DH will likely be a revolving door and could open the door for top prospects Marcelo Mayer and Roman Anthony to see consistent time in the lineup. Harrison and Hicks should compete for roles in the starting rotation. In addition, Bello will likely remain in Rookie Ball while Tibbs will report to Boston's High-A affiliate.
