Cleveland Guardians right-handed closer Emmanuel Clase locked down the team's 4-2 victory over the visiting Houston Astros at Progressive Field in Sunday's series finale for his 14th save of the year. Although Clase didn't give up a run in his inning of work, he didn't strike anyone out and allowed two hits to catcher Yainer Diaz and outfielder Jake Meyers. The hard-throwing 27-year-old reliever currently sports a career-high 3.67 ERA (2.11 FIP), but he's now converted his last 10 save opportunities and has allowed just one earned run since the start of May. He's gone 4-0 with a 1.29 WHIP, 30 strikeouts and only five walks in his 27 innings over 28 appearances out of the bullpen. While Clase didn't exactly start out strong for fantasy managers, he looks locked in now and remains one of the most dominant closers in the game when he's right. His 14 saves are tied for eighth-most in baseball.

New York Yankees outfielder and reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge hit two more home runs in the 11-7 loss to the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night. Judge did all he could in this one, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, three runs scored and a walk to continue what has been another dominant season at the plate. The 33-year-old right-handed slugger now has 23 home runs on the year, which is tied for second in MLB with Shohei Ohtani and behind only Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (26). Believe it or not, the two long balls snapped a six-game homer drought for Judge, who is now hitting an absurd .396/.493/.771 with 55 RBI, 62 runs scored and five stolen bases in 64 games played. He leads major-league baseball in runs, hits, average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS and total bases. Judge is simply amazing.

Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was among the club's offensive catalysts in a 7-5 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Witt went 2-for-5 and capped off his afternoon with a ninth-inning two-run homer that put the game out of reach. The 24-year-old now has a seven-game hitting streak and has gone a sizzling 10-of-29 with two HRs and six RBI in June. While Witt's 2025 numbers don't rival his spectacular output from last season, he's still hitting a more-than-respectable .291/.349/.492 with eight HRs, 37 RBI, and 21 stolen bases over 289 plate appearances. Witt and the Royals will start a three-game series against the New York Yankees on Tuesday.

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts homered for the first time in 13 games in a 7-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Betts, who hadn't gone deep since May 19, smacked a 359-foot solo blast for his ninth HR and 33rd RBI of the year. It was the lone hit for Betts in a 1-for-5 afternoon. The 32-year-old superstar missed four games last week with a fractured toe, but he has returned to go a productive 11-of-27 in six contests. He'll take a .274/.352/.430 line over 261 plate appearances into a matchup against San Diego Padres right-hander Nick Pivetta on Monday. Betts has gone 1-for-5 with two walks against Pivetta.

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen continued his strong start to the season in a 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sunday. While Rasmussen did not factor into the decision, he picked up a quality start with six innings of two-run ball. He yielded six hits, struck out three, and walked one in the contest. Sunday's outing marked the first time Rasmussen allowed a run since May 11. He carried a streak of 23 straight scoreless frames into the game, but Marlins shortstop Otto Lopez snapped it in the first inning with an RBI single. Although Rasmussen has not exceeded six innings in any start this year, he has recorded a highly effective 2.22 ERA with 59:14 K:BB over 69 frames. The 29-year-old will face a formidable New York Mets offense on Saturday.

San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado accounted for all of the scoring in the club's 1-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Machado broke a scoreless tie in the top of the seventh inning with a 425-foot solo shot off Brewers left-hander Rob Zastryzny. The 33-year-old also drew a walk during a 1-for-3 afternoon. Machado has homered in three of the past four games, giving him 10 on the season, and is slashing .318/.382/.515 with 33 RBI and eight stolen bases across 267 plate appearances. He'll take on Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May on Monday. Machado has gone 7-of-28 with two HRs against May.

Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz had a big game at the plate to help lead the club to a 3-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Sunday. With the Rays trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Diaz hit a two-run homer off right-hander Valente Bellozo to tie the game. He also doubled and singled during a 3-for-4 afternoon. Diaz has offered above-average offensive production since he became a regular in 2021, but he's hitting an underwhelming .246/.297/.413 with nine homers, 36 RBI, and a career-worst 6.5% walk rate this season. However, Diaz does rank in the league's 67th percentile or higher in xwOBA, xBA, and xSLG, suggesting he's due for positive regression. He'll try to keep it going Monday in a meeting with Boston Red Sox righty Brayan Bello. Diaz has performed well in their matchups with five hits (including two doubles) in 12 at-bats.

The Los Angeles Angels announced that they have acquired first baseman/outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. from the San Francisco Giants for cash considerations or a player to be named later. The Angels designated right-hander Michael Darrell-Hicks for assignment in a corresponding move. Although Wade was a quality hitter for the Giants from 2021-24, he struggled enough to begin this season that they designated him for assignment earlier this week. He batted a meek .167/.275/.271 with one home run in 169 plate appearances before the Giants moved on from him. The 31-year-old will now have a chance to rebound with a new organization. The Angels already have a better lefty-swinging option at first base in Nolan Schanuel. However, Wade will provide some variety to an outfield/DH mix that features right-handed hitters Mike Trout, Taylor Ward, Jorge Soler, and Jo Adell. He could also add some insurance if Soler (groin) lands on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Cincinnati Reds infielder Christian Encarnacion-Strand swatted another home run Sunday in a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Encarnacion-Strand has homered in three consecutive games since returning Friday from a back injury that had shelved him since mid-April. He belted a 403-foot solo blast against Diamondbacks righty Zac Gallen on Sunday to highlight a 2-for-3, one-walk performance. The powerful Encarnacion-Strand has gone a sizzling 7-for-13 with three HRs, a double, and six RBI since coming off the injured list. He now has five HRs and 11 RBI in just 74 plate appearances this year, but he's hitting an unspectacular .229/.257/.486 with 15 strikeouts and two walks. The Reds have batted the 25-year-old either fourth or fifth in all three games since he came back, though, and he has repaid them with dazzling production.

Cleveland Guardians catcher Bo Naylor went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over the visiting Houston Astros. He added two singles and scored twice. The former first-round pick was in the thick of the action all game. Naylor gave the Guardians their first lead of the contest when he obliterated a hanging Brandon Walter sweeper 429 feet over the right-field wall to make it 2-0 in the bottom of the second. Then, in the seventh, he picked up his third hit of the contest and scored Cleveland's second run of the inning on a Steven Kwan sac fly to make it 4-2. The 25-year-old has been dreadful this season (.187 average) and had just one hit in his last 26 at-bats entering the matchup. Maybe this three-hit outburst is enough to shake him loose.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp allowed five hits and three earned runs over six innings pitched in Sunday's 4-3 win against the Atlanta Braves. He struck out two and walked two to notch his sixth quality start in 13 appearances. The UNC Wilmington alum registered just three swings-and-misses in this one, which is unusual for him, considering his curveball had a greater than 40% whiff rate on the season. Still, he notched his seventh straight start yielding three earned runs or fewer. Roupp has been a pleasant surprise in 2025, limiting hard-hit balls at a top 7% rate in the league. Furthermore, he's dropped the average exit velocity against him nearly two ticks to an excellent 87.3 MPH. He'll square off against a dangerous Los Angeles Dodgers lineup the next time he gets the nod.

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan yielded four hits and two earned runs in his team's 6-3 win against the Toronto Blue Jays. Ryan punched out six batters over five innings of work and issued three free passes to pick up his third straight win. It wasn't the 29-year-old's most efficient outing, as he walked three batters for the second time in as many appearances after not having done so through his first ten. Still, he was effective again, improving to 7-2 on the season. He boasts a superb 2.96 ERA and 0.93 WHIP through 73 innings with an exceptional 82:15 K:BB ratio. Ryan will look to continue his stellar season the next time he toes the rubber -- on the road against the Houston Astros later this week.

Texas Rangers first baseman Jake Burger went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 4-2 win against the Nationals. This was his second home run of the week, and his sixth since returning to the major leagues on May 12. In those 26 games, he's batting .260 with a 20.2% strikeout rate. That's far from the .186 average and 30.5% strikeout rate he posted before the demotion to Triple-A, so it looks like he is turning his season around. The slugger was a top-125 pick during draft season and shouldn't be sitting on the waiver wire any longer.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed six hits and one earned run over five innings in Sunday's 7-3 road win against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 37-year-old struck out seven and walked none to pick up his first win of 2025 (1-0). The lone blemish against him came in the bottom of the fifth inning when Cardinals' shortstop Masyn Winn doubled home teammate Alec Burleson. Kershaw came into this start with eight strikeouts over his first 15 2/3 innings, so it was nice to see him tally a season-high in that regard, inducing 12 swings-and-misses for a solid 33% CSW. He'll bring an inflated 4.35 ERA and 1.55 WHIP into his next outing, a meeting with the visiting San Francisco Giants later this week.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez pitched well but got handed the loss in a 2-1 defeat to Paul Skenes and the Pirates on Sunday. He allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings. The 28-year-old has been rock solid all season long, as he's allowed more than three runs in a start only one time. This was his seventh quality start in 13 tries, and he now has a 3.10 ERA and 1.29 WHIP on the season. The lefty will look to keep things rolling in his next start, currently set to be against the Blue Jays.

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso hit two home runs as part of a 3-for-6 day at the plate on Sunday. He scored three times and drove in four runs. The slugger has been on fire at the plate as of late, as this brings his homer count to five in the past five games. He's slashing .301/.396/.594 with 17 home runs, 61 RBI, and 41 runs in 66 games. It will be a tough task to beat out Shohei Ohtani, but Alonso has done everything he can to put himself in the discussion for the NL MVP Award and is a top-3 first baseman for fantasy.

New York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil had a great day at the plate in a 13-5 win against the Rockies on Sunday, going 3-for-6 with two home runs, a double, three runs, and four RBI. The veteran has enjoyed the series in Coors Field, as this was his second straight game where he has left the yard. He's now slashing .257/.355/.533 with six home runs, 17 RBI, and 12 runs through 35 games. The 33-year-old is no longer a threat to hit for a .300 batting average like he was earlier in his career, but he should still provide a solid OBP and good enough counting stats to make him worth rostering as a middle infield option in deep roto leagues.

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby was dominant on Sunday in a 3-2 win against the Angels, striking out 14 batters over seven innings. He allowed two runs on two hits, which came on a Taylor Ward home run in the fourth inning. This start certainly put any worries to rest about Kirby taking a step back following his injury, as this was the most strikeouts he's tallied in a game in his career. The matchup against the Angels certainly helped, but it's clear that the 27-year-old is ready to step back into his role as a real-life and fantasy ace. He'll look to keep things rolling in his next start, which is set to be another good matchup against the Guardians.

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen earned his fourth win of the season in a 7-5 victory against the White Sox on Sunday. He pitched a quality start, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts over six innings. This was a nice bounce back outing after giving up 13 runs over the past 7 innings in his previous two starts. The seven strikeouts also tied the veteran's season high for an outing, a mark he has achieved four times now. The 33-year-old is best used as a matchup-dependent streamer for fantasy, as he can take advantage of low-scoring teams like the White Sox. He'll carry a 4.94 ERA into his next start against a more dangerous Athletics' lineup.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta bounced back nicely during Sunday's outing against the San Diego Padres. Coming into this start, Peralta had allowed six earned runs over his last two starts. Peralta was sharp in this one as the Padres could barely touch his stuff. The right-hander tossed six shutout innings, allowing one hit, two walks, while striking out three batters in the no-decision. Sadly, the Brewers weren't able to put any runs across the board. Fantasy managers will still take the strong outing by Peralta. He'll take a 2.69 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 78/31 K/BB ratio into his next start against the St. Louis Cardinals.
