Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg (finger) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers. Westburg is set to miss his fifth game in a row due to a left finger sprain. It doesn't sound like the O's plan to place Westburg on the injured list despite him missing eight of the last 10 games. This is obviously a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but they will have to remain patient. Ramon Urias will cover third base and bat seventh versus right-hander Nathan Eovaldi on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Brennan Bernardino will serve as the opener ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The Red Sox have decided to go bullpen-game after having Brayan Bello pitch during the resumption of Tuesday's suspended contest. Bernardino figures to throw an inning before handing the ball off to Cooper Criswell who will pitch the bulk of the innings. Criswell doesn't offer enough upside to warrant streaming on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Spencer Steer (hand) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox. This is basically a doubleheader for the two teams who resumed play of a suspended game earlier in the day. During that game, Steer was hit in the hand by a pitch in the seventh inning. Despite that, Steer is in the lineup for the nightcap. He did experience swelling in his hand, but will play again just hours after getting hit. Steer finished the first game 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI in the loss. He'll bat fifth and cover first base versus left-hander Brennan Bernardino for Game 2.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Reds corner infielder Christian Encarnacion-Strand (foot) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox. This is basically a doubleheader for the two teams who resumed play of a suspended game earlier in the day. During that game, Encarnacion-Strand fouled a ball off his foot which resulted in him exiting the contest. As a result, the Reds are going to play it safe and hold him out of the second game. It's unclear if Encarnacion-Strand will require additional testing, but for now fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. Spencer Steer and Santiago Espinal will cover the corner infield spot on Wednesday night.
From RotoBaller
New York Mets relief pitcher Huascar Brazoban has been named the opener for Wednesday's Game 2 of the doubleheader against the Milwaukee Brewers. Brazoban figures to throw an inning or two before handing the ball off to Blade Tidwell for the bulk of the innings. This is the third time that the Mets have used Brazoban as an opener this season. He won't be a recommended streaming option, especially considering he was tagged for four earned runs during his most recent outing. Tidwell has been hit around quite a bit as well, so fantasy managers should avoid this situation.

The Detroit Tigers recalled outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday and optioned right-hander Dylan Smith to Toledo after Game 1 of their doubleheader against the Washington Nationals. Malloy will serve as the designated hitter and will bat leadoff in Game 2 of the doubleheader on Wednesday against Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore. The Tigers sent Malloy down to the farm earlier this year after he was hitting .215 with a homer, 16 RBI, 13 runs and 31 strikeouts in 115 plate appearances. The 25-year-old responded by slashing .321/.491/.444 with two home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs scored and three steals for the Mud Hens in 24 games played. The former sixth-rounder by the Atlanta Braves in 2021 has barely hit over .200 in 116 big-league games the last two years, but he could see some playing time against lefties in Detroit now that he's rejoined the team.
From RotoBaller
Detroit Tigers outfielders Riley Greene and Parker Meadows will both take a seat for Game 2 of their doubleheader on Wednesday in D.C. against the hosting Washington Nationals. Jahmai Jones is starting in left field and batting third, while Wenceel Perez is making the start in right field and is hitting sixth against Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Justyn-Henry Mallow, who was called up from Triple-A Toledo, is serving as the designated hitter and is batting leadoff. Detroit will give Greene and Meadows the second game off against a tough lefty after he did plenty of damage in the Game 1 victory with two home runs and six RBI. Greene is in the midst of a breakout in 2025 for the first-place Tigers and is now up to 21 home runs in 84 games. Meadows is still trying to find his groove at the plate after a late start to the year and went 1-for-5 with three strikeouts in Game 1.
From RotoBaller
New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham (hamstring) and catcher Austin Wells(finger) remain out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays. Cody Bellinger is patrolling center field and is batting third, while Ben Rice will do the catching and hit leadoff versus Blue Jays right-hander Jose Berrios. Grisham is missing a second straight game with a left-hamstring injury, but he's hopeful to avoid a trip to the injured list before the All-Star break. He's just two homers away from tying his career-high but has slowed down considerably since earlier this season at the plate. Wells is dealing with arterial damage to his left index finger and will miss his fourth straight game. It's entirely possible that both Grisham and Wells will land on the IL if they don't improve soon and get back into the lineup. Both Rice and Bellinger are fine DFS plays on Wednesday against Berrios.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper and catcher J.T. Realmuto are both on the bench for Game 2 of the team's doubleheader on Wednesday against the visiting San Diego Padres. Rookie Otto Kemp will start at first base and bat sixth, while Rafael Marchan will do the catching and hit eighth against Padres right-hander Dylan Cease. Harper made his return from the injured list from right-wrist inflammation for the series-opening win on Monday against SD and went 0-for-2 with a walk. He went 1-for-4 with two walks in a 6-4 loss in Game 1 on Wednesday. The Phillies won't overwhelm the two-time MVP right after his return, but he should be back for Friday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in the Game 1 loss. Realmuto came into the day with just five hits in his last 27 at-bats in seven games since June 22.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that shortstop Bo Bichette (knee) is "feeling better today than he did yesterday," but he remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the division-rival New York Yankees. "He's going through a little bit more of a regular day and the hope would be that he'd be available today (off the bench) if we need him," Schneider said. Ernie Clement will start at the 6 and will hit sixth versus Yankees right-hander Will Warren. Bichette tweaked his right knee stepping on a ball during pre-game batting practice on Monday and will miss his third straight start, but it sounds like the 27-year-old could play in Thursday's series finale against the Bombers. The former second-rounder had an injury-plagued and disappointing 2024 campaign but has bounced back nicely in 2025 and is once again a must-start in fantasy when he's active.
From RotoBaller
The Texas Rangers activated infielder Jake Burger (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned third baseman Josh Jung to Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Burger will serve as the designated hitter on Wednesday and will bat seventh in his first game back against the visiting Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano. Josh Smith is at first base and is batting leadoff, but he should slide over to third base regularly for the Rangers with Jung in the minors to work on his swing. The 29-year-old Burger was serving as the team's primary first baseman before his oblique injury, but he could be eased back in for a bit as the DH. Burger has plenty of power but is also in the 19th percentile in whiff rate and seventh percentile in chase rate, so he's not going to do anyone any favors in the batting average department. He's gone deep 10 times in his 236 at-bats this year.
From RotoBaller
The Texas Rangers optioned third baseman Josh Jung to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday and activated infielder Jake Burger (oblique) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Jung, the former eighth overall pick in 2019 out of Texas Tech, has managed to stay healthy in 2025 but has floundered at the plate in 75 games. The 27-year-old right-handed slugger is currently slashing .237/.283/.366 with a career-worst .648 OPS with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 25 runs, four steals and 73 strikeouts in 297 plate appearances. Jung was even worse in June, slashing .158/.208/.221. His numbers under the hood don't bring much optimism, as he's in the 37th percentile in xwOBA, 34th percentile in strikeout rate, 11th percentile in chase rate and 48th percentile in hard-hit rate. Josh Smith should see most of the playing time at the hot corner in Texas until Jung returns in the second half.
From RotoBaller
Athletics infielder Luis Urias (hamstring) left Wednesday's loss to the Tampa Bay Rays early with right-hamstring soreness, according to the team. Before leaving the contest early, Urias went 0-for-2 at the plate and was replaced at second base by Max Schuemann, who slid over from shortstop. Max Muncy shifted from third base to the 6, while Gio Urshela entered the game to play third base. The A's don't think Urias' injury will warrant a trip to the injured list, but that could change if the 28-year-old isn't back on Friday for the series opener against the San Francisco Giants after an off day on Thursday. Even if Urias avoids the IL heading into the All-Star break, he's likely to become more of a bench player with both Zack Gelof (ribs) and Miguel Andujar (oblique) nearing their returns. Urias came into Wednesday hitting .241 (54-for-224) with seven home runs, 18 RBI, 22 runs and two steals.
From RotoBaller
Athletics infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar (oblique) joined Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday and is expected to start his minor-league rehab assignment on Thursday as the designated hitter. If Andujar avoids any setbacks on his rehab assignment with the Aviators, it's possible he'll be able to return as early as this weekend for a series against the San Francisco Giants in Sacramento. The 30-year-old veteran has been sidelined since June 2 with a Grade 2 right-oblique strain. When he returns to the big leagues, Andujar should see pretty regular playing time between left field and third base, which is bad news for both Max Muncy and Luis Urias (hamstring). Before his injury, Andujar was hitting a strong .296 (50-for-169) but with only three home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs and a steal. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues shouldn't be interested in Andujar.

The Atlanta Braves announced on Wednesday that they reinstated right-handed reliever Daysbel Hernandez (forearm) from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Kevin Herget to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Hernandez tossed a scoreless inning in his lone minor-league rehab appearance and will now return to Atlanta's bullpen after missing a month with inflammation in his right forearm. The 28-year-old Cuban should return to a high-leverage relief role with the Braves in front of closer Raisel Iglesias, giving him plenty of appeal in fantasy leagues that score holds. Before his injury, Hernandez was a key reliever for the Braves with a 3-1 record and 2.22 ERA with 21 strikeouts, but he's also sporting a 4.07 FIP and 20 walks, so he's due for some serious regression if he cannot improve his command.
From RotoBaller
The Atlanta Braves officially reinstated outfielder Jurickson Profar from the restricted list on Wednesday and designated outfielder Alex Verdugo for assignment in a corresponding move. Profar is back with the Braves after serving an 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs, and he will start in left field and hit fifth in his first game back on Wednesday against Los Angeles Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. In 13 games in the minors with Triple-A Gwinnett, Profar hit .333 with three home runs. The 32-year-old veteran will return to starting duties in left in Atlanta but will hit in the middle of the lineup after serving as the team's leadoff hitter to begin the season when Ronald Acuna Jr. was still out while recovering from his knee injury. Nobody should be expecting Profar to be as good as he was in San Diego last year, but he should have plenty of opportunities to drive in runs the rest of the way.

Minnesota Twins outfieldprospect Walker Jenkins extended his current hit streak to seven games with a 1-for-4 day at the plate on Tuesday for Double-A Wichita, swiping two bags in the contest as well. Since returning from the injured list in early June, the Twins' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) has put all of his offensive tools on display, hitting .292 (19-for-65) with three doubles, two home runs, nine steals, and a 15:18 BB:K in 19 games (11 at Double-A). It equates to an .811 OPS, .394 wOBA, and 138 wRC+ for the 20-year-old. The 2023 fifth-overall draft pick should see some time at Triple-A later this year, but unless he really goes on a tear, an MLB debut could have to wait until next season after he got such a late start to the campaign. The 6-foot-3 slugger needs to be stashed away in dynasty leagues with the multi-category fantasy potential he owns.
From RotoBaller
The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Wednesday that they reinstated right-handed reliever Yimi Garcia (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned left-hander Mason Fluharty to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. While Jeff Hoffman will remain Toronto's primary closer, Garcia should be the team's primary high-leverage, late-inning setup man now that he's back with the big-league club. Before injuring his right shoulder, the 34-year-old veteran Dominican had a 3.15 ERA (2.99 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves and a 24:10 K:BB in 20 innings out of the bullpen. In addition to his three saves, he's picked up six holds and will be very valuable in fantasy formats that award points for holds. If anything were to happen to Hoffman, Garcia would likely step into primary closing duties for the Jays.
From RotoBaller
The Minnesota Twins are placing right-hander Bailey Ober (hip) on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with a left-hip impingement and recalling left-hander Kody Funderburk from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move, according to Minneapolis Star Tribune's Phil Miller. It's unclear who will take Ober's start on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The hip injury could help explain why Ober has coughed up seven runs in three of is last four starts to raise his season ERA to 5.28 and his WHIP to 1.41 in 92 innings over his 17 starts for the Twins. The 29-year-old hasn't been of much help in fantasy with only 74 punchouts and a 4-6 record. Given his struggles in 2025, the Twins probably won't be in a rush to bring him back to the rotation in the second half of the season until they're sure he's 100% healthy. In addition to Ober, starters Pablo Lopez and Zebby Matthews are currently on the IL.
From RotoBaller
The Atlanta Braves will place right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow) on the injured list with a fractured right elbow, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Gabe Burns. It's yet another devastating blow to a Braves team that just hasn't been able to catch a break in 2025. There's no specific timetable given for Schwellenbach, but based on the severity of the injury alone, it wouldn't be a surprise if he misses the rest of the 2025 season. It's especially bad news for Atlanta's starting rotation with lefty Chris Sale (rib cage), last year's National League Cy Young winner, on the 60-day IL as well. Schwellenbach was in the midst of a breakout season in 2025 in his second year, going 7-4 with a 3.09 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 108 K's and only 18 walks in 110 2/3 innings over 17 starts. Owen Murphy or Didier Fuentes could take Schwellenbach's rotation spot.
