Rangers' RF Adolis Garcia scored 25.5 fantasy points going 7-for-21 with a home run and six RBIs in five games this week. Garcia is owned only in 43.8% of mixed leagues.

Kumar Rocker Sun Jun 15 12:30am CT

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Kumar Rocker will start on Sunday against the Chicago White Sox. Rocker will be recalled from Triple-A to make the start in place of Tyler Mahle (shoulder), who is likely headed to the IL. Rocker has been electric in the minors, pitching to a 0.82 ERA and 0.55 WHIP, albeit over just 11 IP. The big leagues have been another story for the 25-year-old, as he owns a horrendous 8.87 ERA and 1.84 WHIP over 23 IP. He will get a very good matchup against a bad White Sox lineup, but it is still a very precarious situation. It is best to avoid streaming Rocker in fantasy leagues, at least until he can show us something at the major league level.

Emmet Sheehan Sun Jun 15 12:30am CT

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Emmet Sheehan (elbow) will return to the rotation at some point next week, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Sheehan has been working his way back from Tommy John surgery, and after building up to 63 pitches in his most recent rehab outing, appears ready to return to the majors. It seems likely that Sheehan will begin on a pitch count and, therefore, is unlikely to go deep into games during his first few starts. The 25-year-old showed promise in 2023 before his injury and has some appeal in deeper fantasy formats. Other than that, he is more of a wait-and-see at this point.

Giancarlo Stanton Sat Jun 14 11:50pm CT

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) is expected to return to the lineup during the team's series against the Los Angeles Angels, according to manager Aaron Boone. That series starts Monday, but Boone said it's up in the air as to whether he returns in the first game or the second game on Tuesday. Stanton has gone 3-for-11 with a double, a walk, four RBI, and three strikeouts over three rehab games. The 35-year-old hasn't played yet this season due to tennis elbow in both his arms, so he will have a lot of rust to shake off. His playing time could be limited, especially as he eases into the lineup, due to his health issues and the logjam in New York's outfield. Still, Stanton is worthy of a speculative add in anything standard-size or deeper, as his power is undeniable.

Cedric Mullins Sat Jun 14 11:40pm CT

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins hit a clutch two-run homer in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Mullins' homer gave the Orioles a 5-4 lead in the sixth inning, and they wouldn't relinquish it. The veteran outfielder also singled to give himself a two-hit day. Mullins has cooled down after an extremely hot April, but he is still holding his own. He is now hitting .236 with 28 runs, 11 homers, 34 RBI, and eight steals. The 30-year-old is well on his way to another 20-20 season with solid counting stats to boot. With his power/speed combo, he should be owned in most roto leagues.

Cristopher Sanchez Sat Jun 14 11:30pm CT

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez looked good on Saturday, holding the Toronto Blue Jays to just two runs over seven frames in a 3-2 win. Sanchez scattered five hits, walked none, and struck out five. Unfortunately for the lefty, he left the game an inning before the Phillies took the lead, so he took a tough-luck no-decision. Sanchez has been terrific in June, allowing just five runs over 20 IP (2.25 ERA). He now owns a 5-2 record, 3.05 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 88 strikeouts in 79 IP. The WHIP is a little high, but everything else looks great for the 28-year-old. He has earned must-start status in fantasy. Sanchez's next start should come next Thursday in a tasty matchup on the road against the Miami Marlins.

Jacob Lopez Sat Jun 14 11:20pm CT

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Jacob Lopez was fantastic on Saturday, tossing six shutout innings in a 4-0 win over the Kansas City Royals. Lopez authored his best start of the season in this one, allowing just three hits and walking one while striking out nine. The 27-year-old has been very up and down since moving to the starting rotation in May, but he now has two starts in a row where he hasn't allowed an earned run. His season numbers are a little lacking, as he is 1-4 with a 4.80 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. Lopez has shown the ability to miss bats, though, with 40 punchouts in just 30 IP. His next start is currently scheduled for Thursday against the Houston Astros, but J.T. Ginn could return from the IL before then, which could force Lopez into a long-relief role.

Lawrence Butler Sat Jun 14 10:10pm CT

Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler hit a long home run in the A's 4-0 win over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. Butler's seventh-inning solo blast off left-hander Daniel Lynch IV traveled 426 feet over the wall in right-center field. It was his lone knock during a 1-for-4 day and just his second HR against a lefty this season. Although the lefty-hitting Butler has struggled against southpaws, he's still putting together a nice follow-up campaign to his breakout 2024. The 24-year-old is batting .262/.326/.458 with 10 homers, 30 RBI, 11 steals, and 43 runs scored in 301 plate appearances. He has a challenging matchup Sunday against Royals lefty Noah Cameron.

William Contreras Sat Jun 14 10:00pm CT

Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras broke an 18-game home run drought Saturday in an 8-5 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Contreras, who hadn't homered since May 23, hit a ninth-inning solo shot off right-hander Ryan Helsley for his sixth HR and 31st RBI of the year. He ended the day 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout. Unsurprisingly, Contreras' numbers took a noticeable dip during his homer-less skid. The 27-year-old was batting .253/.366/.376 when it began. He's now down to .240/.347/.351 through 285 plate appearances. While Contreras' 2025 production has been a letdown relative to his career output, the two-time All-Star has a valid excuse: He has been playing through a fractured left middle finger that has hampered him at the plate. Contreras has still started in 67 of the Brewers' 72 games in spite of the injury.

Nolan Gorman Sat Jun 14 9:50pm CT

St. Louis Cardinals infielder Nolan Gorman continued a productive June in the team's 8-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. With the Cardinals ahead 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning and two men on, Gorman smashed a 433-foot home run to extend the lead to six. The lefty-swinging Gorman hadn't gone yard against a southpaw this year until he took Quintana deep. He also walked twice and picked up an additional run scored during a 1-for-3 day. While Gorman batted a miserable .189/.283/.300 through May, his line has made a sizable jump thanks to a hot start to June. Gorman has gone 9-for-28 with three homers, eight RBI, five runs scored, and five walks in 10 games this month. As a result, he's hitting a much-improved .220/.317/.398 with four HRs, 17 RBI, 17 runs, and a 12.9% walk rate in 139 plate appearances. At least for now, Gorman is looking more like the slugger who belted 27 homers and knocked in 76 runs two years ago. He'll take on Brewers righty Quinn Priester on Sunday.

Eugenio Suarez Sat Jun 14 9:40pm CT

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez smacked his 20th home run of the season in the team's 8-7 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday. Suarez knocked in the Diamondbacks' first three runs of the game with a 410-foot shot off right-hander Ryan Bergert in the bottom of the fourth inning. He also walked and struck out during a 1-for-3 night. The 33-year-old has already gone deep five times and driven in 13 runs in 11 games this month. Suarez is now hitting .231/.307/.518 with 55 RBI in 287 plate appearances. The durable slugger has a legitimate chance at his second career 40-homer campaign and his fourth 100-RBI season.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Ryan Sat Jun 14 9:30pm CT

Minnesota Twins right-hander Joe Ryan turned in yet another strong performance in the team's 3-2 loss to the Houston Astros on Saturday. Ryan did not factor into the decision, but he fired seven innings of two-hit, two-run ball with seven strikeouts and two walks before departing. His only real mistake was the two-run homer he allowed to Astros catcher Yainer Diaz in the third inning. After tallying his seventh quality start of the year, Ryan owns a 2.93 ERA with a superb 89:17 K:BB and a minuscule 0.90 WHIP across 80 innings. He'll make his next start against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. Ryan dominated the Brewers on May 16 with six scoreless innings, two hits allowed, and nine strikeouts in a 3-0 win.
