Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (concussion) was activated off the injured list on Friday, but will head back on the shelf now. Ruiz has experienced renewed concussion symptoms which will land him on the 7-day injured list again. Hopefully, Ruiz will be back in the mix shortly after the All-Star break. In the meantime, Riley Adams and Drew Millas will split up the playing time behind the plate. Neither catcher offers enough upside with the bat to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte (groin) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres. Marte is back in the mix after being held out of Monday's contest due to right groin tightness. Luckily, it appears to be a minor issue with Marte batting second and covering second base versus right-hander Nick Pivetta on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups and make sure Marte is in there ahead of first pitch.

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe (side) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. This marks the second game in a row that Lowe has missed due to a left side injury. He was forced to exit Sunday's contest due to the issue and it's unclear if he'll require a stint on the injured list. The All-Star break is approaching, so maybe the Rays will wait and see if Lowe gets better over the break. For now, fantasy managers should consider Lowe as day-to-day. Jose Caballero will cover second base and bat eighth versus right-hander Jack Flaherty on Tuesday.

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) was recently placed on the 10-day injured list after getting hurt over the weekend. Hoskins is reportedly dealing with a Grade 2 UCL thumb sprain, which is going to sideline him for quite a while. The expectation is that Hoskins is going to be out for at least six weeks. The organization is hopeful to get something out of Hoskins during the month of August. That being said, Hoskins is looking like a cut-candidate in most formats that can't place him on an IL spot. In the meantime, Andrew Vaughn and Jake Bauers figure to split up the playing time at first base.

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Cole Ragans (shoulder) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list on Tuesday. Ragans recently started a throwing program, but still has a long way to go before getting back on the mound for the Royals. That being said, the Royals have transferred Ragans to the 60-day IL in order to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. The left-hander has been sidelined since early June due to a rotator cuff strain. Ragans is now going to be sidelined until early August. Fantasy managers should continue to hold Ragans and hope they can get something else out of him before the regular season ends.

With New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. moving from third base to second, the team is demoting fellow infielder DJ LeMahieu to the bench, manager Aaron Boone announced. LeMahieu made his season debut May 13 after recovering from a calf injury and has since amassed a team-high 45 appearances at second base. However, the Yankees feel they're better off with Chisholm manning the keystone. LeMahieu has past third base experience, but Boone said that the Yankees aren't planning to use him there anymore because it's too much of "a challenge" for the 36-year-old. As a result, he's unlikely to see much playing time going forward and may not be long for the roster. The two-time batting champion has hit .266/.338/.336 with two home runs and 12 RBI in 142 plate appearances this season. While LeMahieu is a better hitter than Oswald Peraza, the latter is vastly superior at third base and will take over as the Yankees' starter at the position for now. The Yankees are likely to acquire help at third before the July 31 trade deadline, meaning Peraza should shift back to a reserve role soon.

Boston Red Sox reliever Liam Hendriks (hip) has suffered a setback in his recovery from right hip inflammation and will go for a second opinion, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. The news comes on the heels of Boston moving Hendriks from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL earlier Tuesday. Hendriks hasn't pitched in the majors since May 27, and now the 36-year-old surely won't return until at least August. Hendriks missed all of last season while recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent in August 2023. The three-time All-Star was able to come back from that procedure this year, but the hip injury has limited him to 13 2/3 innings of 6.59 ERA ball.

The Boston Red Sox announced that they have optioned right-hander Richard Fitts to Triple-A Worcester. Additionally, the team has selected the contract of righty Isiah Campbell from Worcester and moved reliever Liam Hendriks (hip) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL. Fitts, 25, is on his way back to the minors after earning his first major league win on Monday. He held the Colorado Rockies to three runs (two earned) over 5 2/3 innings of five-hit ball with six strikeouts and one walk in a 9-3 victory. Overall, Fitts has gone 1-3 with a 4.33 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, and 28:10 K:BB in 33 2/3 innings. Righty Hunter Dobbins (elbow) could come off the IL to take Fitts' place in Boston's rotation in the coming days.

Baltimore Orioles catcher/designated hitter Gary Sanchez (knee) will likely miss eight to 10 weeks with a PCL sprain in his right knee, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports. Sanchez hit the 10-day IL earlier on Tuesday, though there was no indication the injury was this severe. Based on the timeline, he won't return until sometime in September, if at all. The Orioles guaranteed Sanchez $8.5 million on a one-year deal in free agency, but this has turned into an injury-wrecked season for him. Before spraining his knee, Sanchez missed all of May and half of June with wrist inflammation. When healthy, Sanchez has batted a decent .231/.297/.418 with five home runs and 24 RBI in 101 plate appearances. Along with Adley Rutschman, Maverick Handley, and Chadwick Tromp, Sanchez is one of a staggering four Orioles catchers on the IL. They're forced to rely on Jacob Stallings and Alex Jackson behind the plate as a result.

The Chicago White Sox announced that they have reinstated outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Tristan Gray to Triple-A Charlotte. Robert missed the last two weeks with a strained left hamstring. He's returning Tuesday to start in center field and bat sixth against Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. Now that he's back, Robert could be an interesting player to watch as we draw closer to the July 31 trade deadline. While Robert did come up in the rumor mill before his IL stint, his trade value is likely in the tank. The 27-year-old has batted a career-worst .185/.270/.313 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 27 runs scored, and a 30.9% strikeout rate in 285 plate appearances. On the positive side, with 22 stolen bases, Robert is just one away from tying a career high.

The New York Mets shifted right-hander Tylor Megill (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday. Megill has been on the IL since June 15 with a sprained right elbow. Tuesday's move means Megill won't be eligible to return until mid-August. Megill went 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA and a prolific 89 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings before going on the IL. At the same time, however, he walked 33 hitters and had trouble going deep in games. He completed six innings in just two of his first 14 starts. The 29-year-old is currently among several Mets starting options on the IL. The team may get Kodai Senga and Sean Manaea back as early as this week, though, and could also make outside additions before the July 31 trade deadline.

The New York Mets have reinstated designated hitter/outfielder Jesse Winker (oblique) from the 60-day injured list. The team opened up room for Winker by sending fellow DH/outfielder Starling Marte (knee) to the 10-day IL and transferring right-hander Tylor Megill (elbow) to the 60-day IL. Winker is in the lineup at DH and hitting fifth on Tuesday against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. The 31-year-old hasn't played since May 4 because of a strained right oblique. Winker has batted .239/.321/.418 with one home run and 10 RBI in 78 plate appearances this season. He took 508 trips to the plate last year and hit .253/.360/.405 with 14 homers, 58 RBI, 63 runs scored, and 14 steals.

The New York Mets have placed designated hitter/outfielder Starling Marte (knee) on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 7, with a bruised right knee. They also reinstated DH/outfielder Jesse Winker (oblique) from the 60-day IL. Marte injured his knee in his final at-bat against the New York Yankees on Sunday. The 36-year-old said he's "not really worried" about it, but the Mets will err on the side of caution with the All-Star break approaching and Winker available to pick up the slack at DH. Marte leads the team in DH appearances (49) and has .270/.353/.387 with four homers, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored, and five steals in 188 trips to the plate.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are calling up right-handed reliever Alexis Diaz from Triple-A Oklahoma City, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Diaz has pitched in the minors since the Dodgers acquired him from the Cincinnati Reds on May 29. He struggled in six appearances with Oklahoma City, allowing five earned runs with three strikeouts and seven walks in 4 2/3 innings. Nevertheless, the Dodgers will give the former All-Star another shot in the majors. The brother of Mets closer Edwin Diaz, Alexis Diaz burst on the scene in his first two seasons. From 2022-23, a 131-inning stretch, he logged a 2.47 ERA with 11.61 K/9, 4.74 BB/9, and 47 saves. Diaz's numbers dipped last year, and the Reds traded him this season after he yielded eight earned runs in six innings out of their bullpen.

San Francisco Giants infielder Marco Luciano was named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for his performance from June 30 to July 6. The former top prospect went 7-for-18 (.389) with a double, four home runs, 12 RBI, eight runs scored, and a 7:6 BB:K in five games at Triple-A Sacramento. The right-handed slugger owns a .229/.344/.441 slash line on the year with 16 home runs and a strong 14.6 percent walk rate, but has been swinging a better bat since early June. The Dominican has hit .287 (25-for-87) with six doubles and seven home runs since June 6, a period of 23 games. Unfortunately, he's still striking out at an alarming rate (30.4 percent in '25), which has been a problem during his two prior major league stints. It feels like he's been around forever, but at just 23 years old, there's still time to figure it out, however, the clock is ticking or his next chance may end up coming with another team.

St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals. Nolan Gorman will take Arenado's place at third and bat fifth versus Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. Arenado hasn't played since he suffered a right-shoulder impingement in a loss to the Chicago Cubs last Friday. He sat out both of the Cardinals' games over the weekend, but there was optimism that he would return for the start of the Washington series. Instead, Arenado will miss at least one more game.

Los Angeles Angels infielder Yoan Moncada (knee) is traveling to Anaheim and could come off the 10-day injured list to play Tuesday against the Texas Rangers, Francys Romero reports. The 30-year-old switch-hitter has been out for over a month with inflammation in his right knee, interrupting a respectable start to his season. Moncada, who last played June 1, has slashed .237/.336/.505 with six homers, 19 RBI, and 16 runs scored in 113 plate appearances. He and the Angels will hope for better health upon his return, though that's far from a given. Injuries have been a consistent problem for Moncada, who missed anywhere from 58 to 150 games in each season from 2022-24.

Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Shelby Miller (forearm) will undergo an MRI on his ailing right forearm, manager Torey Lovullo announced. Miller hit the 15-day injured list with a forearm strain on Monday (retroactive to Sunday). Lovullo said his concern over the injury is "not low, something right in the middle," according to Jesse Friedman of PHNX Sports. Forearm strains often lead to Tommy John surgery, a procedure Miller underwent in 2017. A long-term absence for Miller would be a devastating shot to an Arizona bullpen that has already lost fellow high-leverage relievers A.J. Puk and Justin Martinez to season-ending elbow surgeries. With those two out of the picture, Miller had been serving as Arizona's closer before going on the IL. The 34-year-old has pitched to a 1.98 ERA with 40 strikeouts, 11 walks, and 10 saves over 36 1/3 innings. Kevin Ginkel got the save in Miller's place in a win over the San Diego Padres on Monday.

Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Xavier Isaac (elbow) has been put on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Montgomery with a "nagging" elbow injury. It will be the second IL stint of the season for Tampa's third-ranked prospect, and he also missed time in May which did not result in an IL stint. Perhaps the injuries could help explain some of his struggles this season, as the 6-foot-3 slugger is hitting a paltry .201 through 41 games. However, he's still been able to draw walks at a strong 19.4 percent rate, providing a .366 OBP, and together with his strong .446 SLG, the left-handed hitter is still posting a solid .812 OPS. Hopefully some time off will help him get back on track, but he'll need to improve upon the 29.7 percent strikeout rate if he's going to see some time at Triple-A by the end of the year.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Ryan Ward leads all minor leaguers in home runs with 23 through 82 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. He also leads in RBI (76) and is tied for most hits (99). The 27-year-old has shown prodigious power in the past, blasting at least 21 home runs in each of the past four seasons, topping out at 33 last year at Triple-A. With the power had come an elevated strikeout rate of 26.8 percent last season, but the left-handed slugger has improved it to a better-than-average 20.7 percent this year, all while boasting the best walk rate of his career (12.5 percent). The former eighth-round draft pick looks worthy of a shot in the big leagues and could make his major league debut this year. Although he's not a stash candidate, there's enough power and he would be hitting in a formidable Dodger lineup that could make him a potential waiver add in very deep or NL-only leagues whenever he gets the call.
