Entry Scoring and Payouts

Each player selection in a lineup will be scored as Win, Loss, Tie, or No-Play. Each player in a lineup will be scored after the final box score for the player's contest is received. This is usually 60 minutes following the conclusion of the contest but may be longer. All statistics are declared final for the player at this time. If a league or statistics bureau changes a statistics (such as an error to a hit or sack to a rushing play) at a future date, that change will no be reflected in the outcome of the player selection in a lineup. Additionally, those statistics revisions will not reverse, overturn, nor refund any contest entry. RTFS reserves the right to correct any obvious or technical errors in statistics or scoring and adjust the resulting payouts or refunds to reflect the correction.

A player selection in a lineup will be declared No-Play in the following instances:

Baseball

  • If a hitter does not start the game on the official lineup card. Pitching projections for a position player will be considered a no-play.
  • If a game is postponed or suspended and the completion of that game does not occur on the original scheduled calendar day, players for the game will be treated as no-play.
  • Pitchers will only be declared no-play if they do not appear in the game. Hitting projections for a pitcher will be considered a no-play.

Shortened games that are still official games and all player selections from that game will be treated as a complete game. The no-play rule if not a starter is waived in All-Star or exhibition games.

Basketball

  • A player will be declared no-play if they play zero (0) seconds, regardless of whether they were active or inactive.

Football

  • If a player is officially inactive.
  • If a player is active, but does not play a single snap.

Golf

  • A player must complete 18 holes per round or will be declared no-play.

Hockey

  • A player will be declared no-play if they play zero (0) seconds, regardless of whether they were active or inactive.
  • Goalies will be declared no-play if they do not start the game.

Soccer

  • If a player does not start the match.
  • Substitutions will always be declared no-play.

All statistics and fantasy points include overtime, extra time, and extra innings unless otherwise stated. No statistics from golf playoff holes will be included. No statistics from hockey shootouts will be included. Participants in the Contest accept the risk of rainout, postponement, or cancellation of a game for any reason in any entry as part of the Contest. Participants in the Contest accept the risk of injury, coaches decisions, ejection, or any shortened participation for any reason in any entry as part of the Contest.

Winning and Multipliers

Entries shall be declared winning entries and shall receive the prize payout if all player selections in the lineup are winners. If any player selections in a lineup are a loss, the whole entry is a loss.

Prizes include the entry fee being paid back. Prizes for winning entries will be as follows:

  • 2 player lineup, 3 times entry fee.
  • 3 player lineup, 6 times entry fee.
  • 4 player lineup, 10 times entry fee.
  • 5 player lineup, 20 times entry fee.
  • 6 player lineup, 40 times entry fee.

Each individual lineup selection many include a boost or discount multiplier. The multiplier will be applied to the prize payout for the lineup. Boost multipliers will increase the potential prize and discount lineup selections will decrease it. If a lineup selection becomes void, tie, or no-play the boost or discount multiplier for that selection will not be applied to the paid prize.

If a lineup selection is a void, tie, or no-play, that selection will not count as a win or a loss and it will not count towards the payout multiplier.

For instance, if an entry has two wins and one tie or no-play it will be treated as a two pick entry win with a two pick multiplier. Any entry with a pick that is a loss with or without a tie or no-play will be treated as a loss.

If an entry has only one pick that is not a tie, the entry will be refunded if the pick is a win. A loss and a tie will be considered a loss. If an entry has one or fewer picks that is not a no-play, the entry will be voided and the full entry fee refunded.

Winning and Multipliers with a Mulligan

Entries with at least 3 players may be submitted with an optional mulligan.

Entries with a mulligan shall be declared winning entries and shall receive a prize payout if no more than one player selection in the lineup is a loss. If more than one player selection in a lineup is a loss, the whole entry is a loss.

Prizes include the entry fee being paid back. Prizes for winning entries will be as follows:

Zero Losses

  • 2 player lineup, 1 times entry fee.
  • 3 player lineup, 3 times entry fee.
  • 4 player lineup, 5 times entry fee.
  • 5 player lineup, 12 times entry fee.
  • 6 player lineup, 25 times entry fee.

One Loss

  • 3 player lineup, 1 times entry fee.
  • 4 player lineup, 1.5 times entry fee.
  • 5 player lineup, 2 times entry fee.
  • 6 player lineup, 2.5 times entry fee.

Lineup selections with a boost or discount multiplier will have the multiplier applied to the zero and one loss prizes for entries with a mulligan. If the entry is a one-loss entry with a mulligan the boost or discount multiplier for the lineup selection loss will not be applied to the paid prize.

If a lineup selection is a tie or a no-play, that selection will not count as a win or a loss and it will not count towards the payout multiplier.

Entries with a mulligan must have at least 2 wins to be declared a winner and receive a payout. If an entry with a mulligan has a win, loss, and tie/no-play, it will not be declared a winner and will be a loss. If an entry has one or fewer picks that is not a no-play, the entry will be voided and the full entry fee refunded.

Statistics Reporting

Scores and stats are updated immediately as they are received from our statistics provider (usually about every minute). Some events beyond RTFS' control can make this time longer. Thus, RTFS is not responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the statistics.

Because the statistics are updated "live," some errors may occur. If so, statistical errors are usually corrected by our stats provider during the course of a game, but may take time to be corrected. If an error occurs and is not corrected, by the stats provider, RTFS will correct the stat, but only if the stat is clearly in error. If there is any doubt to the validity of the stat, RTFS will maintain the statistic given by its provider.

All stats for a given Contest are deemed final when the final box score is published at roughly one hour after the last event of the Contest goes final. Even if a statistics bureau or sports league changes a stat after this time, it will not be changed by RTFS. Nonetheless, RTFS reserves the right to change any stat at any time for any unforeseen reason.

RTFS is not responsible for any inaccuracies, representations, statements, graphics or content of materials that are uploaded onto the servers and website from other vendors, including but not limited to the National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, PGA Tour, StatsPerform, SportRadar, and users, members, subscribers, customers or participants.

Contest Cancellation

RTFS also reserves the right to cancel DFS Pickem contests, in our sole discretion, without any restrictions including statistics failures, inaccuracies, falsified entries or malicious actions. If a contest is cancelled all paid entry fees for the affected lineup entries will be refunded.

Sportsmanship and Decency

Sportsmanship

By registering, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these rules and fantasy games in general. You further agree to accept and abide by the rulings and the decisions of RealTime Fantasy Sports regarding all questions of sportsmanship. Sportsmanship broadly includes actions such as abusive postings and communication, colluding with other teams in the league, deliberately choosing to start incomplete or weak lineups, free agent moves for reasons other than improvement of the owner's fantasy team, and any other actions not conducive to decent, fair, and honest play. If an owner refuses to comply with the sportsmanship rules, or that an owner has acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports will be final.

Inappropriate, Offensive, or Commercial Communication

The league message boards, league news and league email are provided to facilitate communication with other league owners and enhance the enjoyment of your league. RealTime Fantasy Sports does not permit posting or sending messages or images, to include logos, avatars and team names that could be construed as offensive to other owners. Team owners who violate these guidelines are subject to being restricted from posting in the league. Additionally, RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports will be final.

All participants are required to abide by the RealTime Fantasy Sports, Inc. (RTFS) Official Policies. RTFS reserves the right to refuse participation for persons violating these terms.

Appeals

Accidental Drops

In season long fantasy contests, should a team accidentally drop a player or drop the incorrect player during a free agent transaction, the team may appeal to have the player reinstated to their team. The appeal for reinstatement must occur immediately, without exception. If the appeal is not submitted immediately, for any reason, the appeal will be denied. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a ruling in favor of the team submitting the appeal. If the team owner is a repeat offender, deemed to be using the appeal to gain an advantage or the appeal is not submitted immediately, the appeal will be denied. RTFS reserves the right to deny any appeal.

Trades

In leagues that permit trading, owners may request a review of commissioner-approved trades or commissioner-rejected trades. Trade appeals must be submitted immediately after the trade was approved or rejected. If any delay in submission occurs, for any reason, the appeal will be denied. Upon submission of an appeal, the trade will be reviewed by a panel of fantasy experts. Current injuries, bye weeks, season to date performance, team standings, and other factors will be considered. Trades that are overwhelmingly one-sided will be rejected. Trades that are arguably beneficial to both sides or arguably not overwhelmingly one-sided will be allowed to stand. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a trade will be reversed. RTFS reserves the right to reverse any trade or let any trade stand.
