Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles says that rookie tight end Colston Loveland (shoulder) is "ready to go," according to Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times. Lieser notes that there could be a gradual ramp-up period for Loveland as he recovers from the shoulder surgery he underwent in January. The Bears drafted Loveland in the first round of the 2025 draft out of Michigan. In 10 games last season for the Wolverines, he recorded 56 catches for 582 yards and five touchdowns. Chicago has an established tight end to pair with Loveland in Cole Kmet, so the rookie won't need to be leaned on too heavily right away. Loveland is a borderline TE1 for fantasy, but a healthy and productive preseason could improve his outlook.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch says the team is "encouraged" about wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's (knee) recovery from the ACL and MCL tears that ended his 2024 season last October. However, Aiyuk is "not anywhere close to having a concrete timeline" to return to practices, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Aiyuk was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list on Friday, which means he can theoretically be activated at any point this offseason. Nevertheless, previous reporting has indicated Aiyuk is unlikely to be ready to go for the start of the regular season. In his absence, San Francisco will rely more heavily on receivers Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings, Demarcus Robinson, and Jacob Cowing. Rookie fourth-round wideout Jordan Watkins could also get more of a look in camp.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (hamstring) was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list on Friday, but David Lombardi of The San Francisco Standard reports that the team anticipates activating him within the first few days of camp. Pearsall tweaked his hamstring in a workout back in May. A first-round pick in 2024, Pearsall played in 11 games as a rookie and recorded 31 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns. San Francisco's receiver room is filled with uncertainty heading into the start of camp. Along with Pearsall, Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is unlikely to be ready for the start of the season as he recovers from multiple torn ligaments in his knee, and Jauan Jennings may hold in as he seeks a new contract from the team. If Pearsall can quickly recover from this injury, he could be in line to lead San Francisco receivers in targets early in the season.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) will be "held out of most workouts" due to back soreness, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Klein writes that Rams head coach Sean McVay is confident that Stafford will be ready for the season, but this is still a worrying sign for the 37-year-old quarterback. Stafford has played through myriad injuries throughout his career, but the back has been a recurring issue. He managed to play 16 games in 2024, completing 65.8% of his passes for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns. Los Angeles has a competent backup to Stafford in veteran Jimmy Garoppolo. Nevertheless, an absence for Stafford would hurt the outlook for Rams receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Stafford himself is a low-end QB2 option who offers zero upside as a rusher.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams is planning to be a full participant in practice amidst ongoing extension negotiations with the team, according to Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire. Previous reporting had indicated that Williams was a candidate to "hold-in" during training camp, but it appears that will not be the case. Williams turns 25 in August and is entering the final season of his four-year rookie contract. He played 16 games for Los Angeles in 2024, logging 316 carries for 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns. Williams also added 34 catches for 182 yards and two receiving touchdowns. He has dominated running back carries for the Rams in each of the past two seasons. An extended absence during training camp may have altered that, but it appears Williams is opting against that approach as he seeks a long-term commitment from the team.

DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman reports that he's seen Detroit Lions running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery on the field together over the first three training camp practices, maybe more than he can remember in the last two years. It appears that new offensive coordinator John Morton likes the Gibbs-Monty combination and the pressure they can put on opposing defenses. Despite the presence of Montgomery in Detroit's backfield, Gibbs is a surefire top-five fantasy RB entering his third NFL season. The former first-rounder has been a Pro Bowler in both of his seasons and ran for 1,412 yards and a league-high 16 touchdowns on 250 carries a year ago, adding 52 catches for the second straight year, 517 yards and four more TDs. Montgomery is dangerous in his own right and had 1,000 yards rushing in 2023, but he's not the all-around stud that Gibbs is.

ESPN's Nate Taylor reports that Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was the biggest winner of Tuesday's training camp practice and was the most-targeted receiver for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports reported that Rice was most active working across the middle of the field on crossing routes and in the red zone. The 25-year-old is returning from an LCL tear that he suffered last year, but he's a full-go at camp this summer and should be a huge part of KC's passing attack in 2025. With that said, his fantasy stock has taken a hit this year because of the fact that the NFL is expected to suspend him for three or four games after a hit-and-run incident. Even though a suspension is probably coming, Rice could make quite a bit of noise in 2025 now that he's healthy. RotoBaller currently has him ranked as the WR26.

As Cleveland Browns rookie second-round running back Quinshon Judkins' legal situation plays out regarding a domestic-violence incident, the Browns signing him to his rookie deal may not be immediate, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Because he's not signed, the 21-year-old Ohio State product is not at training camp with the rest of the team as they prepare for the 2025 season. Judkins was arrested last week in Florida on domestic-violence charges, and even if he's cleared of the charges, he could be facing a suspension from the league to begin his first NFL season. He should still probably be viewed as Cleveland's lead back of the future, but it just might take a bit more time for him to get there now. As things currently stand, there's no timetable for Judkins to report to camp, boosting the fantasy stock of both Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson.

ESPN's Jourdan Rodrigue reports that Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams has reported to training camp this week amid contract talks with the team. However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Williams is a potential hold-in candidate during camp, which means he may not take part in practices at all under he receives a long-term extension from the organization. The Rams have said they would like to get something done with the 24-year-old this offseason, but time will tell if Williams is locked into a new deal before the start of the 2025 regular season. He is entering the final year of his deal after back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons in 2023 an 2024. Last year, Williams had a career-best 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns on 316 carries over 16 regular-season games. With Blake Corum potentially taking on a bigger role this year, though, Williams is on the RB1/2 borderline.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) has avoided the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin training camp, although the Colts will monitor his throws as he competes with Daniel Jones for the starting gig this summer. General manager Chris Ballard said that Richardson will take part in the first practice of camp on Wednesday. "Where he is in his career and in his deal as a rookie, we still have time," owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon says. "He still has time to prove it." Indy isn't giving up hope that the former top-five pick can turn things around, but so far in his first two NFL seasons, he's been injured and inaccurate. The 23-year-old has elite rushing upside, but that won't matter at all in fantasy if he can't stay on the field and improve as a passer. It's a make-or-break year in 2025 for Richardson.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is still uncertain for the start of training camp, but the Commanders are making it clear that they are willing to work on a new deal with their star receiver. Commanders General Manager Adam Peters said on Tuesday, "Without a doubt, I think everybody in this building values Terry very much. In terms of where we're at, we've had conversations recently and we'll look to have more conversations. ... We'll do whatever we can to get a deal done." Scary Terry has put up over 1,000 yards in each of his last five seasons without missing a game since 2020. He produced a new career-high 13 touchdowns last year while working with rookie standout Jayden Daniels. McLaurin is exploring every option, including a holdout, hold-in, and a trade request, so keep a close eye on his status as training camp opens.

The San Francisco 49ers are potentially looking to add some depth at wide receiver, and on Monday, they worked out free agents Quintez Cephus, Equanimeous St. Brown, Grant DuBose, Ramel Keyton, Stanley Morgan, Spencer Petras, and Brandon Powell. Cephus was waived by the Rams earlier this offseason, and St. Brown was released by the Saints before last season. Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson has left the building without a deal and actually even the state, according to his Instagram. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that extension talks between Hendrickson and the Bengals broke down over guaranteed money before camp opened. Hendrickson is already subject to fines for missing mandatory minicamp earlier this offseason and is subject to more fines for training camp practices missed. Hendrickson definitely doesn't seem near a new deal with the Bengals, and the team has publicly stated that they will not trade him. Hendrickson's role in the Bengals' defense is huge, so his contract status is definitely worth following as training camp and preseason unfold.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) has been fully cleared for the start of Patriots' training camp, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Diggs tore his ACL last October after he had 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games with Houston. The 31-year-old receiver was more productive with four straight seasons over 1,000 receiving yards with the Bills prior to being dealt to the Texans. After signing a three-year deal with the Patriots, he is set to be the top target in the offense for second-year QB Drake Maye, and it's looking more like he'll be ready to step right into that role in Week 1 since he remains ahead of schedule in his recovery. It's still a significant injury, though, so continue to track Diggs' recovery throughout the preseason. If he is ready to go right out of the gate, he has WR2 upside for fantasy as Maye's primary receiver option in Josh McDaniels' offense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan is still a very large part of the Buccaneers' plans this season, according to new offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard. Grizzard was new coach Liam Coen's pass game coordinator last year, and when pressed to give a player who needed to play well for his offense to work this season, he identified McMillan. Grizzard said, "He's in a good spot." The Bucs' receiver room is crowded with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin coming back from injury, and new first-round pick Emeka Egbuka. McMillan made a big impact, though, 37 catches for 461 yards and eight touchdowns. He stepped up after Godwin's injury and had seven touchdowns in his last five games. McMillan is a risky pick with so many options in the offense, but he showed off a high enough ceiling to definitely be a part of starting lineups in standard leagues coming into the season.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook will report to Bills training camp despite his ongoing contract dispute, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Cook is looking for a new contract after his 23-touchdown season last year and is a candidate to be a "hold-in" this preseason, meaning he would attend practices and meetings (while avoiding fines) but not actually take part in practice. Cook is looking for an extension as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal, and he stayed away from the team through OTAs before attending mandatory minicamp in mid-June. With Cook in search of a big deal and entering a contract year, some reports are suggesting the team could turn to more of a committee with Ray Davis and Ty Johnson getting more work alongside Cook this season. Cook's status and potential new deal will be one of the top stories for the Bills this preseason, as they look to win a sixth straight AFC East title. Cook is an elite fantasy running back if he's in the workhorse role, as expected, but keep an eye on his contract situation since it could impact his availability down the line.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Detroit Lions are quietly negotiating a long-term extension with Pro Bowl defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. "Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions is the other big name, high octane pass rusher currently discussing a potential long term deal," Rapoport said. "If that gets done before Parsons, then Parsons officially on the clock." Hutchinson has totaled 28.5 sacks in three seasons, including 7.5 in only five games before an injury cut his 2024 campaign short. Locking in the rising star could reset the market ahead of Micah Parsons' expected megadeal.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed former Baylor wide receiver Hal Presley on Monday, adding depth following the release of Justyn Ross and with Rashee Rice potentially facing a suspension. Presley caught 31 passes for 429 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games last season. The Las Vegas Raiders may have found a replacement for impending free agent wide receiver Jakobi Meyers when they drafted wide receiver Jack Bech in the second round of this year's draft, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. Reed writes that "there's a lot of overlap" between Meyers and Bech, and that "this feels like a situation where the Raiders will probably have to make a choice at some point."
