Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) won't play Wednesday versus the New Orleans Pelicans. Giddey is dealing with a left hamstring injury that he sustained during Monday's matchup with Minnesota. Coby White (calf) will also miss tomorrow night's tilt, leaving the team without its starting backcourt. Without Giddey and White, Tre Jones will likely slide in as the primary ball-handler, while Kevin Huerter and Ayo Dosunmu will also take on extra backcourt minutes.
Chicago Bulls guard Coby White (calf) won't suit up against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. He's dealing with tightness in his right calf. White's injury occurred in the first quarter during Monday's loss to the Timberwolves. In 16 games this season, the 25-year-old is averaging 19.2 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds across 28.1 minutes per contest. Josh Giddey (hamstring) will also sit out, leaving Kevin Huerter, Tre Jones, and Ayo Dosunmu with a heavy workload for Wednesday's clash.
Memphis Grizzlies center Jock Landale (calf) is available for Tuesday's meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was out of action for two straight games due to a right calf strain. Across 30 games this season, the 30-year-old big man is averaging 11.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per contest. With Landale back tonight, Christian Koloko will likely slide back out of the rotation.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (ankle) is available for Tuesday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. Embiid missed Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained right ankle. He is averaging 24.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks across 30.0 minutes per game in six December games. With the star big man back in the mix this evening, Andre Drummond will return to his backup center role.
Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) is set to suit up for Tuesday's matchup with the Boston Celtics. The 22-year-old has been feeling under the weather but has been cleared to play. George is averaging a career-high 24.2 points and 6.8 assists across 31 games this season. He provides plenty of fantasy value for this evening's contest as he has finished with at least 20 points in his last eight appearances.
Washington Wizards guard/forward Corey Kispert (hamstring) will not be ready to return when the Wizards take on the Bucks on Wednesday. It has been a rough few months for Kispert, who missed 10 games with a thumb injury and then played only 13 minutes before leaving with hamstring tightness in his first game back. This will be his fourth straight game sidelined with his new injury, but the 26-year-old remains day-to-day. While he's out, Justin Champagnie and Tre Johnson should continue to get more minutes and usage, especially on Wednesday, when Kyshawn George (hip) is also out.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, making it six straight games the versatile contributor has missed with this lingering left knee injury. Since Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring) is also out, there will be even more time available on the wings for Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells, as the Grizzlies look to fill in for KCP and Williams. The next chance for Williams to get back on the floor will be Friday against the Lakers.
Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (hip) will miss a third straight game while dealing with a hip flexor injury when his team visits the Bucks on New Year's Eve. George is averaging 15.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in 31.9 minutes per game in his second season in the NBA. Without him on Wednesday, Khris Middleton and Tre Johnson will likely get more work against Milwaukee, and Johnson has been surging lately and is coming off 24 points on Monday against the Suns. For as long as George is out, Johnson will be an intriguing streamer and DFS option for Washington, since he can be such an effective scorer when given minutes.
Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) was originally questionable but was upgraded to available for Tuesday's matchup against the Clippers. He was expected to miss a week when the injury was initially announced last Friday, but he's ahead of schedule and will be back on the floor this Tuesday. Murray is averaging 14.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 37.1 minutes per game in his 15 games this season. His return will likely push Keon Ellis back to the bench, but it's a big upgrade for the Kings' offense as a whole. Like the Kings, get Murray back into your lineups for Tuesday's game, and be excited that he was able to recover ahead of schedule.
Detroit Pistons guard Caris LeVert (knee) was downgraded from doubtful to out on Tuesday afternoon before his team faces the Lakers in Los Angeles. He sustained the injury on Sunday in the third quarter against the Clippers. At this point, it's just being described as "soreness," so it may not be a long-term issue. On Tuesday, though, without LeVert in the second unit, both Jaden Ivey and Javonte Green will likely get more playing time. Levert's next chance to return will be Thursday against Miami.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic seems to have avoided major injury, but he will still be out for at least a month. After leaving Monday's game against Miami, Jokic was diagnosed with a hyperextension in his left knee. While he will miss at least four weeks, tests show that his knee ligaments are intact. Jokic will be the fourth Nuggets' starter sidelined, since Christian Braun (ankle), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), and Cameron Johnson (knee) are already dealing with injury. Jokic could return towards the end of January or early in February before the All-Star break, although it depends on how his recovery progresses. Jonas Valanciunas will be the primary replacement for Jokic, and the veteran should be a solid contributor for as long as Jokic is out.
Utah Jazz guard/forward Ace Bailey (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. A left hip flexor strain will keep him sidelined for a second consecutive contest. Bailey's absence from the lineup gave Brice Sensabaugh a starting spot on Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs. He finished the game with nine points, four rebounds, and three assists, shooting 3-for-5 from downtown. Sensabaugh has a great touch from outside, and he could be more involved in the offense on Tuesday if Keyonte George (illness) doesn't shake off a questionable tag.
Utah Jazz forward/center Kevin Love (rest) won't play on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics. The veteran will be rested for a second straight game. Kyle Filipowski, Taylor Hendricks, and Cody Williams have more fantasy appeal with Love out of the lineup. Of the three players, Filipowski has had the most success on the court this season, though his recent performances have been underwhelming. In Saturday's win over the San Antonio Spurs, Filipowski had six points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block in 22 minutes.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (knee) looks to have avoided a major injury, Vic Lombardi of Altitude TV reports. Jokic hurt his left knee in Monday's loss to the Miami Heat and exited the game after the first half. He is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. According to Lombardi, the team hopes that Jokic suffered only a bone bruise. A big injury to Jokic would have serious ramifications for Denver's season and many fantasy teams. He will probably still miss some time but won't be out long-term. The Nuggets were already down three starters on Monday night, as Christian Braun (ankle), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), and Cameron Johnson (knee) missed the game.
Memphis Grizzlies center Jock Landale (calf) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers. He might be out for a third consecutive game due to a right calf strain. Christian Koloko has entered the rotation during Landale's absence, but his fantasy impact has been minimal. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama also get more work in the frontcourt with Landale out. On Tuesday, Memphis' big men could face a Philadelphia team that's without Joel Embiid (ankle), elevating their fantasy potential.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring) won't play on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Washington Wizards, leaving the contest in the second quarter. You can't consider yourself a real Grizzlies player if you aren't hurt at one point during the season, and Caldwell-Pope will miss his first game of the campaign. The trio of Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells, and GG Jackson II will probably absorb most of the 22 minutes per game Caldwell-Pope leaves behind.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) won't suit up for Tuesday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons. He recently dealt with a groin issue, missing two games, and the Japanese forward is now bothered by a sore right calf. On Monday, Hachimura couldn't practice, and Tuesday's absence may not be his only one of the week. It appears likely that Jake LaRavia will start in Hachimura's place on Tuesday night. In previous starts this season, the Wake Forest product has notched 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. Jarred Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht could also see extra action in the rotation.
Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes (ankle) will be available to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons, as the team has not included him on the injury report. Last week, Hayes sat out two games due to a sore left ankle. On Monday, Hayes returned to practice and is ready to resume his duties as the backup center to Deandre Ayton, bumping Maxi Kleber down the depth chart. The Lakers' frontcourt has a tough matchup on Tuesday night against Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart.
Detroit Pistons guard/forward Caris LeVert (knee) is considered doubtful for Tuesday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been dealing with a sore left knee for a while and couldn't complete Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, logging only 13 minutes. Jaden Ivey saw a season-high 29 minutes off the bench on Sunday, while Javonte Green could also pick up some of LeVert's minutes if he's ruled out on Tuesday night. Detroit has limited Ivey's workload since his return from a knee injury, but it looks like he could be ready to start logging his usual minutes. Last season, Ivey averaged 29.9 minutes per game during a career year. When fully healthy, Ivey offers good fantasy production, posting 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in 2024-25.
Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) is listed as questionable for a meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. He may be forced to skip a third consecutive contest due to a right calf sprain. Following Murray's exit from the lineup, Keon Ellis has made back-to-back starts. He went for 21 points, three steals, and two blocks on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks but cooled off quickly. In Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Ellis contributed only two points. Nique Clifford is also seeing increased opportunities in Murray's absence and appears to be a better fantasy option than Ellis.
