Baylor Scheierman Mon Jan 12 7:30pm

Boston Celtics small forward Baylor Scheierman will make his first start of the season in Monday's contest against the Indiana Pacers. Sam Hauser will also be a fresh face in the starting five, with Jaylen Brown (back) unavailable and Hugo Gonzalez dropping to the bench. Last season, Scheierman made two starts, averaging 11.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals. It's a very small sample size, but the Creighton product can make a significant impact in a starting role.

Paul George Mon Jan 12 7:20pm

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Paul George (knee) will play in Monday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors. He was a late scratch on Sunday against Toronto due to knee soreness, but luckily, George will make a quick return to the lineup. The veteran has averaged 15.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals through his first five outings in 2026. Kelly Oubre Jr., who logged 34 minutes as a starter on Sunday, will drop back to the bench with George's return.

Brandon Ingram Mon Jan 12 7:20pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward Brandon Ingram (thumb) will rejoin the lineup on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He's back after missing two games with a sprained right thumb. Ingram will start the contest alongside Immanuel Quickley, Jamal Shead, Scottie Barnes, and Collin Murray-Boyles. In two early-season meetings with Philadelphia, Ingram averaged 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, shooting an impressive 51.9 percent from the field.

Jaylen Brown Mon Jan 12 7:10pm

Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (back) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Indiana Pacers. This looked likely to happen after Brown was handed a doubtful tag on the injury report. The 2024 Finals MVP is bothered by lower back spasms. Brown's absence will put the ball more in the hands of Payton Pritchard and Derrick White. Meanwhile, there will be additional minutes available for Anfernee Simons, Hugo Gonzalez, and Sam Hauser (hamstring), who will return from a one-game absence.

Sam Hauser Mon Jan 12 7:10pm

Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (hamstring) will return from a one-game absence on Monday against the Indiana Pacers. He makes a timely return, as Boston will be without Jaylen Brown (back). Hauser could step into Brown's spot in the starting unit. He has been a starter in nine games this season, averaging 9.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. Indiana has limited opponents to 33.8 percent three-point shooting this season, making this a tricky matchup for Hauser.

Joel Embiid Mon Jan 12 7:10pm

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Monday against the Toronto Raptors. He missed Sunday's meeting with Toronto to manage a left knee injury, and the team initially listed Embiid as questionable for Monday's tilt. Embiid has averaged 26.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.0 blocks in 33.0 minutes per game this month. He's looking to dominate against an inexperienced Raptors frontcourt on Monday.

Ziaire Williams Mon Jan 12 6:50pm

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ziaire Williams (illness) will miss a second straight game on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks. He is battling an illness and will end up sitting out both games of a back-to-back set. Williams also didn't play in Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but that was because of a coach's decision. Bizarrely, Williams dropped out of the rotation after being a starter in the previous contest. He will get three more opportunities this week to rejoin the lineup.

Moussa Cisse Mon Jan 12 6:50pm

Dallas Mavericks center Moussa Cisse (shoulder) is considered probable for Monday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. Cisse was previously listed as questionable due to a right shoulder sprain, but it appears that he will likely suit up ahead of tonight's tilt. On Saturday, the 23-year-old big man finished with five points, 10 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks across 19 minutes in a 125-107 loss to the Bulls.

Anthony Edwards Mon Jan 12 6:40pm

Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards (foot) will sit out Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks due to right foot injury maintenance. Edwards will have the night off after playing in 13 straight games. He should be back in the lineup for Friday's clash with the Rockets in Houston. While the 24-year-old franchise cornerstone is sidelined, veteran guard Mike Conley and Bones Hyland will receive extra minutes during tomorrow evening's contest.

Michael Porter Jr. Mon Jan 12 6:40pm

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (rest) will rejoin the lineup on Monday versus the Dallas Mavericks. Brooklyn rested its leading scorer for the first leg of a back-to-back on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Danny Wolf started Sunday's game and will head back to the second unit for Monday's action. Last month, Porter Jr. had 34 points with six triples against Dallas when these teams met for the first time this season.

RJ Barrett Mon Jan 12 6:30pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, missing a second consecutive game. Barrett sprained his left ankle last week, and it might take a while until he's ready to play again. With Toronto battling injuries, Jamal Shead has joined the starting five, and he made a big impact in Sunday's overtime win against Philadelphia, scoring 22 points and delivering six assists.

    Ja'Kobe Walter Mon Jan 12 6:20pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) won't be in the lineup on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He will sit out at least one game due to a hip injury sustained in Sunday's win over Philadelphia. RJ Barrett (ankle) will also be sidelined on Monday, opening the door for additional minutes for Jamal Shead, Gradey Dick, and Ochai Agbaji. Shead started on Sunday and stands out as the best fantasy option of the trio.

Ace Bailey Mon Jan 12 6:10pm

Utah Jazz guard/forward Ace Bailey (hip) will be welcomed back into the lineup on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 19-year-old rookie has played in only one of the last eight games and was initially listed as questionable for Monday's tilt due to a hip issue. Bailey performed well before his injury, averaging 10.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game. However, he might be under a minute restriction in his return and provide limited production. Cody Williams will lose playing time to Bailey.

Dean Wade Mon Jan 12 6:10pm

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade (knee) won't suit up against the Utah Jazz on Monday. Wade will miss his third consecutive contest due to a left knee contusion. The 29-year-old is averaging 5.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest across 34 appearances this campaign. His next chance to return is on Wednesday versus the Sixers. De'Andre Hunter, Nae'Qwan Tomlin, and Jaylon Tyson will continue to take on heavier workloads while Wade is out of action.

Andrew Nembhard Mon Jan 12 6:10pm

Indiana Pacers point guard Andrew Nembhard (back) will suit up for Monday's tilt against the Boston Celtics, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. The team initially listed Nembhard as questionable on the injury report. The 25-year-old is dealing with lower back soreness and missed one game last week. However, Nembhard appeared fine in his return to the lineup on Saturday against the Miami Heat, scoring 29 points in as many minutes and missing a double-double by just one assist. He has notched 19.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 7.5 assists across two prior meetings with the Celtics this season.

Jusuf Nurkic Mon Jan 12 6:00pm

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (toe) will be back in action on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bosnian big man has sat out a couple of contests while dealing with a toe injury. Utah used Kevin Love as Nurkic's replacement in the starting lineup. Love will probably land back on the bench on Monday, but he could still have an important role to play, as the Jazz must find a way to deal with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Cleveland's twin towers make this a tough matchup for Nurkic, though he's had an impressive spell recently with four double-doubles in six appearances.

Lauri Markkanen Mon Jan 12 5:50pm

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (rest) is not listed on the injury report for Monday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 28-year-old had Saturday off for rest purposes, but it appears he will be back on the floor this evening. Jusuf Nurkic (toe) is also set to suit up, so 22-year-old Taylor Hendricks, who started on Saturday in place of Markkanen, will have his minutes reduced. With Markkanen back in action, fantasy managers should expect him to make a significant impact in fantasy tonight as he's finished with at least 29 points and six rebounds in three of his last four outings.

Rudy Gobert Mon Jan 12 5:40pm

According to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (suspension) will be suspended for Tuesday's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 33-year-old big man picked up his fifth flagrant foul of the season in Sunday's 104-103 win over the Spurs, which triggers an automatic one-game suspension. The flagrant foul occurred during the fourth quarter when Gobert attempted to contest a Victor Wembanyama three-point attempt. Gobert should be once again active against the Rockets on Friday. With Gobert sidelined, Naz Reid will likely start at center after posting 17 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks during Sunday's tilt.

Joel Embiid Mon Jan 12 5:10pm

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is considered questionable for Monday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors. The former MVP remains on the injury report as he continues to manage a left knee injury. Embiid sat out Sunday's game against the Raptors for maintenance, and he may be held out again tonight. If the 31-year-old big man is unable to suit up for the second consecutive contest, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona are in line to see extra minutes this evening.

Aaron Holiday Sun Jan 11 8:10pm

Houston Rockets guard Aaron Holiday will move into the starting five ahead of Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings. He'll take over with the starting unit with Tari Eason (ankle) ruled out. A shift into the starting five doesn't exactly make Holiday an appealing fantasy option. This season, Holiday is averaging 6.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 13.8 minutes per game this season. He has been barely cracking 10 minutes in the rotation lately. Holiday was producing decent streaming value with 20-plus minutes, so he could offer low-end streaming value with an extended look. His overall value might also be dependent on the status of Alperen Sengun (ankle), who is currently a game-time decision.
