Dallas Mavericks center Anthony Davis (hand) will likely have surgery on his left hand to repair ligament damage, sidelining him for several months. Davis originally suffered the injury in last Thursday's loss to the Utah Jazz. With the trade deadline around the corner, AD could still be traded to a playoff contender, with a potential return in the playoffs. If he stays with the Mavericks, he is not likely to return this season, since the team is not expected to be in the playoff race. Without Davis, Moussa Cisse and Dwight Powell will likely fill in behind Daniel Gafford at center for the rest of the season, while Cooper Flagg will remain more the focus of the offense. Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (ankle) won't play on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls, sitting out a second consecutive game. Eason sprained his right ankle in Friday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. In his absence, Aaron Holiday received the starting nod on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately, Holiday didn't capitalize on the opportunity, recording only three points, one rebound, four assists, and one steal. San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (adductor) will miss an eighth straight game on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said Saturday that Vassell's rehab is going well, but there isn't a timetable for his return. Julian Champagnie will continue to start in Vassell's absence. He has posted three double-doubles over the past seven games, averaging 17.9 points and 9.1 rebounds. However, Champagnie has struggled mightily on offense against the Thunder this season, averaging only 2.3 points per game across three meetings.

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) will be out for a ninth consecutive game on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. The big man continues to nurse a right soleus strain, leaving the defending champions without their starting center. Chet Holmgren has slid to the five position, with Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins sharing starts during Hartenstein's absence. Jaylin Williams returned to the lineup in Sunday's win over the Miami Heat, helping ease some of the load on Holmgren. The Thunder centers have a difficult matchup on Tuesday against Victor Wembanyama.

Denver Nuggets forward/center Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He is expected to remain in the lineup for a fourth consecutive appearance. Despite being on a minutes restriction, Gordon logged 32 minutes in Sunday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with 23 points, six rebounds, and four assists. It's an encouraging sign that he is nearing 100 percent. However, Gordon's workload may again be limited against New Orleans, as it's the first game of a back-to-back.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (Achilles) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The veteran appears to be making progress in his attempt to return from an Achilles problem. Still, the doubtful tag suggests Grant will sit out his 14th consecutive game on Tuesday. Sidy Cissoko is poised to maintain a more prominent role against Golden State, especially with Deni Avdija (back) out of the lineup for this one.
