Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond (toe) is considered questionable for Friday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers. In the current season, Drummond has played 40 games. He has an average of 7.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, with his shooting percentage being 50.0% from the field. The last time Drummond played was versus the Toronto Raptors, where Drummond scored four points with six rebounds in 25 minutes. If Drummond remains sidelined, Guerschon Yabusele will likely receive increased playing time in his absence.
Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Miami Heat. White is in danger of missing his first game since January 27 due to a left knee contusion. He has only missed three games this season. White is averaging 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 44.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range. Alongside White, Jayson Tatum (knee), Jaylen Brown (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) are listed as questionable. If White doesn't suit up tonight, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will likely receive increased playing time.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Miami Heat. Porzingis is in danger of missing his eight straight game due to an illness. Porzingis originally sat the Toronto Raptors game on February 25 as a late scratch because of the illness. He then played in Detroit the day after, but has missed every game since then. Porzingis played in 32 games this season. He is averaging 18.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. If Porzingis remains sidelined, Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet may carry greater workloads on Friday.
Boston Celtics center Al Horford (toe) is expected to play on Friday versus the Miami Heat. Hoford appears likely to play Friday after sitting out Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. Unlike Jayson Tatum (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness), who are both questionable, Horford is probable. For the season, Horford has played in 51 games. He averages 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. His shooting percentage is 41.9%. Luke Kornet could be more productive if Horford and Porzingis (who is listed as questionable) can't play.
Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a double-double, scoring 45 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 106-126 loss to Milwaukee on Thursday, Mar. 13.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (knee) is questionable for Friday's matchup with the Heat. The 27-year-old missed the March 5 win over Portland because of a shoulder injury. He returned for the following two games before getting ruled out ahead of Monday's meeting with Utah because of a knee injury. Tatum was out there for Boston's most recent contest, which was a 118-112 loss to OKC. While he was back on the injury report heading into that one, he still finished with 33 points, a team-high. Boston will play the Nets on Saturday, so there's a chance Tatum may get a night off. The Celtics also listed Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jaylen Brown (knee), and Derrick White (knee) on the injury report. With that in mind, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Jrue Holiday may see more looks at the basket.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat. He's been bothered by a knee issue and wasn't available for the win over the 76ers on March 6. But despite landing on the injury report ahead of the C's previous three contests, Brown has been out there, although he had only 10 points in the 118-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday evening. Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jayson Tatum (knee), and Derrick White (knee) are also questionable. As a result, Jrue Holiday, Payton Pritchard, and Sam Hauser might see more scoring opportunities versus a Miami team that has lost five-straight contests.
Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (hand) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. Barnes sat out of Wednesday's contest after aggravating his right hand injury. His absence resulted in Jamison Battle, Jared Rhoden, and Garrett Temple seeing more playing time in the rotation. Between the three, Rhoden is looking like the best fantasy option after finishing with 25 points and 12 rebounds during Wednesday's game.
Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. Washington has missed the last six games and is in danger of missing another contest due to an ankle injury. His absence has resulted in Naji Marshall and Kessler Edwards seeing more playing time in the rotation. Marshall has been on a hot streak recently and is worth rostering in most 12-team formats right now. Edwards is worth a look as well, but is more of a low-end streaming choice. Both players would likely lose value if Washington is upgraded to available for this contest.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (groin) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Mitchell will miss his second game in a row due to left groin soreness. The Cavs are in good enough position playoff-wise that they don't need to push Mitchell out there if he isn't 100 percent healthy. Isaac Okoro figures to remain in the starting five for at least one more game. He finished with six points and five rebounds across 32 minutes on Tuesday. It doesn't appear that the extended playing time is going to make Okoro a viable fantasy option.
Cleveland Cavaliers forward De'Andre Hunter (illness) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Hunter appears to be ready to get back in action following a one-game absence due to an illness. The Cavs are going to be without Donovan Mitchell (groin), so Hunter could be asked to take on a bigger role on Friday. The 27-year-old is worth a look as a streaming option, assuming he's cleared to play on Friday.
Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Gordon has missed the last two games and sat out five of the last seven contests. The absence of Gordon has given Peyton Watson, Russell Westbrook, and Zeke Nnaji more playing time in the rotation. Westbrook has taken advantage of it with a handful of solid fantasy performances over the last few games. He would once again be a popular fantasy option if Gordon is unable to play on Friday. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Friday for another update.
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (knee) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Murray has been a regular on the injury report, but he has only missed one game over the last two months. He is currently dealing with left knee inflammation, but it doesn't appear to be something that is going to slow him down. Murray has been a bit sluggish in the scoring department lately with 20 points or more in three or his last four games. Despite that, Murray is a must-start in all fantasy formats when healthy.
Sacramento Kings forward Trey Lyles (leg) has been upgraded to available ahead of Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Lyles was a late addition to the injury report due to a leg injury, but it doesn't appear to be something that is going to keep him on the sideline. Normally, Lyles plays minutes in the teens off the bench, but he could see an increased role on Thursday with Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) ruled out for this game. Honestly, Jonas Valanciunas will probably absorb most of the additional minutes, so Lyles still isn't an ideal streaming option.
Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) has been upgraded to available ahead of Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Kuminga is available to play after missing the last 31 games due to a right ankle sprain. That being said, Kuminga is going to be eased back into action after a two-month absence. Head coach Steve Kerr didn't say exactly how limited Kuminga would be on Thursday, but it'll likely be short stints during his first game back. Gui Santos figures to lose streaming appeal especially once Kuminga is back up to full speed.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The big man has been dealing with multiple nagging injuries, but Jokic has continued to play through the issues. It doesn't seem to be impacting him on the court considering he's averaging nearly 30 points and 15 rebounds over his last five games. The three-time MVP is nearly unstoppable when he's on the court and isn't going to let a few minor injuries hold him back.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) won't return to the floor for Thursday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors. Sabonis will be sidelined for the sixth straight game due to a left-hamstring strain. Despite carrying the unavailable tag for Thursday's contest, the big man went through a full practice on Wednesday, meaning he will return soon. Fantasy managers should be satisfied with the news of Sabonis potentially coming back earlier than initially thought since he was ruled out indefinitely just a week ago with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
Jovan Buha of The Athleticreports that Los Angeles Lakers forwardRui Hachimura (knee) was sent back to Los Angeles and will be considered day-to-day by head coach JJ Redick moving forward. Hachimura, along with LeBron James(groin) andJaxson Hayes(knee), are returning to Los Angeles early from a Lakers road trip that still includes stops in Milwaukee and Denver. The 27-year-old Hachimura has missed six consecutive contests, but his recovery is moving in the right direction. Barring any setbacks, he could potentially return against the Suns on Sunday.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox (finger) will miss the rest of the 2024-25 campaign. Fox, who was traded from Sacramento ahead of the deadline, has been playing through tendon damage in his left pinkie. However, with the Spurs having virtually no hope of making the Play-In, the move was made for Fox to have surgery. It's unknown when he'll be cleared to return to basketball activities. But Fox, averaging 19.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 steals in 17 games in San Antonio, will remain a top fantasy option heading into next season, assuming he won't miss time. In the meantime, Stephon Castle should see a surge in production without Fox on the floor.
According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said that forwardLeBron James (groin) has already been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Bucks and Friday's matchup against the Nuggets, and is considered day-to-day moving forward. James' streak of missed games will extend to three after Friday's contest due to a left-groin strain. Despite being out of action for the next two games, the 40-year-old star forward could potentially return to the floor on Sunday against the Suns. In 10 outings since the All-Star game, he has posted averages of 28.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals during 36.5 minutes per game.
