Washington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) is not ready to return to game action on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He sprained his left ankle before the All-Star break and will miss a fourth consecutive contest on Wednesday. Bub Carrington receives additional playing opportunities with Brogdon out of the lineup. However, Carrington has struggled with inconsistency throughout his rookie campaign and has not been a reliable fantasy producer. With Khris Middleton in town, Carrington has been bumped to the bench, which further hurts his fantasy value.
Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell (ankle) is on the injury report as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Raptors. On Sunday, he sprained his right ankle in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers and wasn't in the lineup for Monday night's action against the Denver Nuggets. With McConnell out of commission, starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton (groin) logged 40 minutes on Monday. However, Indiana also lists Haliburton as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game. If both players are out, Andrew Nembhard will likely handle most of the playmaking Wednesday night, with Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin in line for more playing time.
Chicago Bulls guard/forward Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is on the injury report as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 25-year-old injured his left shoulder last week and has missed a pair of games. Speaking about Donsumu's injury over the weekend, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said that there is no timetable for his return. Fortunately, it looks like Dosunmu won't be a long-term absentee and may return to action against the Clippers. Kevin Huerter's role on the team has significantly grown during Dosunmu's absence, while Tre Jones has also experienced a boost in playing time.
Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic (calf) will likely miss a second consecutive game on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers, as the team lists him as doubtful on the injury report. The two-time All-Star has played through calf tightness recently but has now landed on the shelf with the injury, leaving the Bulls without a key contributor. Vucevic has continued to be a double-double machine in 2024-25, averaging 19.1 points and 10.3 rebounds. Jalen Smith (concussion) is also inactive at the moment, meaning Zach Collins (shin), who is considered probable for Wednesday's game, will likely be fed all the minutes he can handle. With Vucevic out on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, Collins hopped into the starting lineup and notched 19 points with five rebounds.
Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) will be unavailable for at least four weeks. He broke the second metacarpal in his right hand on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks and will be sidelined for a second consecutive game when the Heat host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. This is a significant setback for Jovic, who has taken a big leap in 2024-25. He has averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.1 minutes. Kyle Anderson played almost 30 minutes off the bench during Monday's clash against the Hawks and is likely to continue in an expanded role until Jovic returns.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (rest) will be back in the lineup on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. The talented big man was rested as OKC completed a back-to-back on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team remains cautious with Holmgren following his recovery from a pelvic fracture. Since rejoining the lineup, Holmgren has averaged 13.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks in 26.6 minutes. On Wednesday, Holmgren will face a Brooklyn team that won't have Nicholas Claxton (suspension) protecting the paint.
Miami Heat forward/center Bam Adebayo (calf) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The star big man has suffered a right calf contusion and could be out of the lineup for just the third time in 2024-25. Miami has figured out how to utilize Adebayo and Kel'el Ware (ankle) together, but Ware's fantasy value is likely to rise further if Adebayo is unable to play on Wednesday. The Heat have listed Ware as probable for the game. Kevin Love (personal) is also expected to take on a greater role. He has rejoined the team after addressing a personal matter.
Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 12 assists and 15 rebounds in a 107-99 win over the Mavericks on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the 76ers. KAT hasn't been a stranger to the injury report this season. However, his nagging knee injury may be enough to keep him off the floor for the sixth time this season. If that's the case, Precious Achiuwa, averaging 11.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in eight starts, should handle things at the five against a Philadelphia squad that won't have Joel Embiid (knee) and Guerschon Yabusele (eye).
Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (groin) is questionable heading into Wednesday's encounter with the Raptors. The 24-year-old has averaged 18.1 points and 8.7 assists this season, both down from the 2023-24 campaign. Fortunately, he's only missed one game. But if Haliburton and T.J. McConnell (ankle) aren't available, Andrew Nembhard will likely take over at the one spot, potentially giving him a bump in usage and production. Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, and Aaron Nesmith should also see an uptick in scoring if Haliburton can't suit up.
Brooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the visiting Thunder. He had 17 points in Monday's loss to the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, after appearing in the Nets' last seven games, Johnson may miss his first game since February 4. Brooklyn also won't have D'Angelo Russell (ankle) and Nicolas Claxton (suspension), so Ziaire Williams, Tyrese Martin, Trendon Watford, and Keon Johnson could all receive more scoring chances if Johnson can't suit up.
Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Guerschon Yabusele (eye) won't face the Knicks on Wednesday. He got another start in Monday's blowout loss to the Bulls. Unfortunately, he logged only 13 minutes of action before suffering an eye abrasion. With Joel Embiid (knee) also ruled out, as expected, the Sixers will likely roll with Andre Drummond at the five to begin the game. Drummond has averaged 8.1 points, 9.4 boards, and 1.5 steals in 16 starts this season, so fantasy managers can add him to their starting lineups. Adem Bona will also see more action and is worth streaming until Yabusele is cleared to return.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Quentin Grimes (knee) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. The 24-year-old was acquired from the Mavericks ahead of the trade deadline. He's played well since arriving in Philly, averaging a career-high 14.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. Grimes should continue to remain involved in all statistical areas versus his former team, assuming he gets the green light to suit up, especially with Joel Embiid (knee) and Guerschon Yabusele (eye) both sidelined.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Justin Edwards (ankle) is expected to play on Wednesday against the Knicks. He tweaked his ankle during practice last week and has missed the last three games. But Edwards could be back on the floor, which is good news, considering the Sixers won't have Joel Embiid (knee), Guerschon Yabusele (eye), Eric Gordon (wrist), and Kyle Lowry (hip). As a result, the rookie will likely get enough action to see some interest from fantasy managers. Edwards ceiling will increase even more if he gets the start, with the 21-year-old averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 41.5% shooting from behind the arc in nine appearances with the starting lineup throughout the 2024-25 campaign.
New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (foot) is expected to play on Wednesday against Philadelphia. The former Toronto Raptor missed six games because of a sprained foot. However, he's appeared in the Knicks' last two games. Unfortunately, Anunoby has struggled during that span, combining for only 15 points. With that said, he'll likely get on track soon, so fantasy managers should keep him in the starting lineup.
Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (knee) won't return to Tuesday's meeting with the Cavs. Anthony got the start once again in place of the injured Jalen Suggs (quadriceps). He logged 21 minutes, although he would finish with only six points, five rebounds, and four assists before exiting with a hyperextended left knee. The Magic may not have Suggs or Anthony on Thursday against Golden State. As a result, Anthony Black, averaging 8.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in nine starts, should find a place in more fantasy lineups than usual.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Ben Simmons (knee) is ready to go ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Simmons appears ready to play again following a one-game absence due to a knee injury. He has been decent during his three appearances with the Clippers. Simmons isn't going to light up the box score, but he should be able to provide low-end fantasy value. He shouldn't be limited at all after only a one game absence, so fantasy managers can get him back into their lineups on Wednesday.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) won't suit up on Wednesday against the Knicks, as expected. The 2023 NBA MVP is listed as out for injury management purposes. But with the Sixers drifting away from a Play-In spot, fantasy managers may not see him for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. With Guerschon Yabusele (eye) sidelined, Andre Drummond will likely get the start. Adem Bona is worth grabbing off the waiver wire, where available, considering he may be in line for increased production for at least a few games.
Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) is available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Washington has been battling an ankle issue, but will make his third straight appearance despite the injury. He has played well during the last two games, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect the ankle issue to limit him at all. This season, Washington is averaging 14.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 32 minutes per game. He'll probably be asked to do more of the heavy lifting on offense with Luka Doncic no longer in Dallas. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get Washington active in their lineups.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (foot) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The superstar forward is set to return to the court after missing each of the last two games due to a foot injury. The expectation is that Leonard is going to have his full workload on Wednesday. He figures to be one of the primary scoring options, especially with Norman Powell (knee) still sidelined. Fantasy managers should make sure they get Leonard active in their lineups ahead of Wednesday's game.
