Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.comreports that Los Angeles Lakers point guardLuka Doncic(ankle) won't play against the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Due to left calf management and a right ankle sprain, Doncic will sit out the second half of back-to-back games. With Doncic sidelined and Gabe Vincent(knee) listed as doubtful, Jordan Goodwin and Shake Milton will likely receive extra minutes on the floor this evening. Still, neither player provides a solid fantasy option versus the Nuggets.
Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (foot) has officially been ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Toronto Raptors due to a left foot contusion. This will be George's third consecutive game on the sidelines with this ailment. Since the Jazz are looking towards the NBA Draft lottery, they're likely going to play every injury on the cautious side. Collin Sexton and Isaiah Collier will lead the backcourt again while Cody Williams and Jordan Clarkson get the minutes off of the bench. Collier has been an excellent streaming option (rostered in 31% of leagues) with averages of 10.8 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game as a starter.
The Utah Jazz have announced that forward John Collins (ankle) has suffered a lateral ankle sprain in his left ankle and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The 27-year-old has battled a multitude of injuries this season and appeared in 40 of a possible 66 games so far. The earliest he would be back is March 27 against the Houston Rockets, so Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski will likely see a sizeable boost in minutes in the meantime. Both have been inconsistent, but could be used in short streaming spurts. Sensabaugh averages 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while Filipowski has posted 8.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) appeared on the injury report for Friday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers but he's considered probable while he continues to deal with Achilles tendinitis. The superstar point guard remains a must-start in every fantasy format despite his shooting efficiency taking a big dip this year. He's currently leading the league in assists at 11.5 per contest while he sits at 18th in points per game with 24.0. His playmaking abilities have been the main attraction in March as he's averaging an astounding 12.8 per night through five games so far.
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) has a chance to return from a five-game absence after being listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former Defensive Player of the Year sprained his ankle on March 3 against the Atlanta Hawks and hasn't been able to take the court since then. If he's unable to suit up, Zach Edey and GG Jackson II should remain as the starting frontcourt. Brandon Clarke should also see some more opportunities off of the bench, but Edey provides the most stability with 9.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (rest) will watch Friday's game against the Utah Jazz from the sidelines as he's been ruled out for rest. Both teams are competing for better odds in the NBA Draft lottery so they've decided to list almost everyone on the injury report. With Jonathan Mogbo (nasal) also ruled out, Orlando Robinson and Colin Castleton seem poised to take on the minutes at center. During their last game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Castleton got the starting nod and registered seven points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and three blocks. Robinson had a solid night as well with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. Both would be great streaming options for big man stats in category leagues.
Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (personal) will miss Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers for family reasons. This will be the second consecutive missed game for the veteran big man and his next chance to play will come Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets. Mouhamed Gueye and Dominick Barlow should continue to receive some added minutes in Capela's absence. If fantasy managers are looking for big man streamers, Gueye started in the Hawks' last game and posted six points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks. He could be helpful to boost some stats in deep category leagues.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Ben Simmons (knee) has a chance to return from his seven-game absence to face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. He's been out due to what the team is calling injury management on his left knee. Since being traded away from Brooklyn, Simmons has appeared in five games and averages 6.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals across 21.2 minutes per game. If he remains sidelined, however, Amir Coffey and Derrick Jones Jr. should still see the bulk of the bench minutes. Neither one is strongly recommended as streaming options except for very deep leagues.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Norman Powell (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks, which will be his seventh consecutive missed game since suffering a hamstring strain on March 2. Despite missing Powell, the Clippers have gone 4-2 over the last six games while Bogdan Bogdanovic and Amir Coffey both get bumps in playing time and opportunities. Bogdanovic is averaging 15.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 threes per game during that stretch while Coffey is posting 8.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.3 threes per contest.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been with the team since they made him the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Despite the rough season with three max-contract players, Booker seems to be cemented in the team's plans moving forward. Even in a down year, the 28-year-old is averaging 25.9 points, 6.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.7 threes per game. Owner Matt Ishbia made it clear that Booker is not on the trade block, even though the Suns are expected to make a major shakeup this offseason. Co-stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal have already had their names thrown into the rumor mill, and it seems like their moves away from Phoenix are all but inevitable. Ishbia is not a fan of rebuilds, so there could be a brand new supporting cast around Booker with other veterans if he gets his wish.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (back/finger) will remain sidelined on Friday as he deals with both a lower back and a finger sprain. He's likely to miss more than just the contest against the Indiana Pacers as the Sixers seem to be embracing the tanking efforts to keep their pick in the upcoming draft. For fantasy managers heading into the playoffs, Quentin Grimes (questionable - illness) has been a huge streaming option. If he doesn't play either, Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin Jr. could both serve as deeper streamers. Butler gets plenty of on-ball opportunities and posted nine points, eight assists, six rebounds, and two steals in their last game. Dowtin, on the other hand, registered 20 points (9-14 FG), three assists, two rebounds, and two steals.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (groin) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers. George has missed four games in a row and is set to miss his fifth game. The injury report notes that George's absence is due to groin soreness, and the Philadelphia 76ers have not placed a timeline on George's return yet. George, who signed a four-year, $212 million max deal with the Philadelphia 76ers after five seasons with the LA Clippers, is averaging only 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 41 games.
Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond (toe) is considered questionable for Friday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers. In the current season, Drummond has played 40 games. He has an average of 7.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, with his shooting percentage being 50.0% from the field. The last time Drummond played was versus the Toronto Raptors, where Drummond scored four points with six rebounds in 25 minutes. If Drummond remains sidelined, Guerschon Yabusele will likely receive increased playing time in his absence.
Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Miami Heat. White is in danger of missing his first game since January 27 due to a left knee contusion. He has only missed three games this season. White is averaging 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 44.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range. Alongside White, Jayson Tatum (knee), Jaylen Brown (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) are listed as questionable. If White doesn't suit up tonight, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will likely receive increased playing time.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Miami Heat. Porzingis is in danger of missing his eight straight game due to an illness. Porzingis originally sat the Toronto Raptors game on February 25 as a late scratch because of the illness. He then played in Detroit the day after, but has missed every game since then. Porzingis played in 32 games this season. He is averaging 18.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. If Porzingis remains sidelined, Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet may carry greater workloads on Friday.
Boston Celtics center Al Horford (toe) is expected to play on Friday versus the Miami Heat. Hoford appears likely to play Friday after sitting out Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. Unlike Jayson Tatum (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness), who are both questionable, Horford is probable. For the season, Horford has played in 51 games. He averages 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. His shooting percentage is 41.9%. Luke Kornet could be more productive if Horford and Porzingis (who is listed as questionable) can't play.
Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a double-double, scoring 45 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 106-126 loss to Milwaukee on Thursday, Mar. 13.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (knee) is questionable for Friday's matchup with the Heat. The 27-year-old missed the March 5 win over Portland because of a shoulder injury. He returned for the following two games before getting ruled out ahead of Monday's meeting with Utah because of a knee injury. Tatum was out there for Boston's most recent contest, which was a 118-112 loss to OKC. While he was back on the injury report heading into that one, he still finished with 33 points, a team-high. Boston will play the Nets on Saturday, so there's a chance Tatum may get a night off. The Celtics also listed Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jaylen Brown (knee), and Derrick White (knee) on the injury report. With that in mind, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Jrue Holiday may see more looks at the basket.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat. He's been bothered by a knee issue and wasn't available for the win over the 76ers on March 6. But despite landing on the injury report ahead of the C's previous three contests, Brown has been out there, although he had only 10 points in the 118-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday evening. Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jayson Tatum (knee), and Derrick White (knee) are also questionable. As a result, Jrue Holiday, Payton Pritchard, and Sam Hauser might see more scoring opportunities versus a Miami team that has lost five-straight contests.
Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (hand) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. Barnes sat out of Wednesday's contest after aggravating his right hand injury. His absence resulted in Jamison Battle, Jared Rhoden, and Garrett Temple seeing more playing time in the rotation. Between the three, Rhoden is looking like the best fantasy option after finishing with 25 points and 12 rebounds during Wednesday's game.
