Jalen Suggs Thu Jan 30 9:40pm

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) won't play on Thursday against Portland. He was listed as questionable heading into this one and considered a game-time call. But the 23-year-old will now miss his second-consecutive contest. With that in mind, Anthony Black, averaging 11.5 points and 1.5 points in six starts this season, will take Suggs' spot in the rotation, making him a viable fantasy option in all formats.

Mike Conley Thu Jan 30 9:00pm

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley (thumb) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Utah Jazz. They've decided to take the cautious approach and hold out Conley for the first time since November. This is a significant loss considering Conley was playing 30 minutes or more in three of the last four games. The expectation is that Rob Dillingham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will see a boost with Conley unavailable. Alexander-Walker is coming off a 23-point outing during Wednesday's game. That being said, he's worth a look as a streaming option ahead of Thursday's contest.

Jerami Grant Thu Jan 30 8:50pm

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (ankle) won't play on Thursday against Orlando. The veteran hasn't had a quality year, averaging only 14.5 points, nearly seven points fewer than he had during the 2023-24 campaign. He'll also miss his 12th game of the season. Scoot Henderson, averaging 16.7 points and 7.3 assists in seven starts this season, will take Grant's place in the rotation, automatically enhancing his fantasy potential.

Khris Middleton Thu Jan 30 8:50pm

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton (knee) is tagged as probable ahead of Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. The Bucks continue to be cautious here and listed Middleton on the injury report due to his lingering ankle issues. Middleton has been struggling lately with two duds in his last three games. The hope is that he'll rebound on Friday, but Middleton has been hit-and-miss this season. Fantasy managers in season-long formats should keep on believing in him.

AJ Green Thu Jan 30 8:50pm

Milwaukee Bucks guard AJ Green (quad) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Green has missed the last five games due to a quad issue, but the fact he's questionable for this game gives hope that he'll be able to suit up. It's unclear if the Bucks plan to have Green on a minutes limit if he's able to play. If he sits again, Pat Connaughton and Gary Trent Jr. should both see bigger roles in the rotation. Trent has been playing more minutes lately and is worth streaming with the Bucks banged up right now.

Steven Adams Thu Jan 30 8:40pm

Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) is available on Thursday against Memphis. The veteran was in danger of missing this contest because of ankle soreness. However, he'll be out there and will get the start in place of Alperen Sengun (calf), who will miss his first game of the 2024-25 campaign. Adams has averaged only 3.2 points and 4.8 rebounds this season. Yet, it's logical to assume he'll be more productive, so he has some streaming value for fantasy managers. Adams will likely also draw value attention from DFS participants. The same can be said for Jock Landale, who will come off the bench behind Adams.

Bobby Portis Thu Jan 30 8:40pm

Milwaukee Bucks center Bobby Portis (personal) remains out ahead of Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Portis will now miss his fourth game in a row due to personal reasons. The Bucks haven't given a timetable on Portis, so for now fantasy managers should consider him as day-to-day. Portis has seen his playing time take a dip over the last few weeks. It'll be interesting to see what kind of role he has in the rotation once he's cleared to play again. The Bucks will likely use a committee approach between Pat Connaughton, Taurean Prince, and Gary Trent Jr. until Portis returns. Between the three, Trent appears to be getting the biggest boost in playing time.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Thu Jan 30 8:40pm

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. It shouldn't shock anyone that Antetokounmpo is on the injury report ahead of this game. The superstar forward has been on regular on the injury report this season. Despite that, Antetokounmpo has suited up for every game this month. Fantasy managers should expect him to once again be out there on Friday. If not, Pat Connaughton, Taurean Prince, and Khris Middleton would all see bigger roles in the rotation.

Ja Morant Thu Jan 30 8:30pm

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said Morant suffered a right shoulder injury in practice and is now dealing with the soreness. That being said, fantasy managers should consider Morant as day-to-day which makes him questionable for Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The absence of Morant means that Luke Kennard and Scotty Pippen Jr. should see an increase in playing time. Kennard is the slightly better streaming option right now after a few 20-plus point outings last week.

Josh Green Thu Jan 30 8:20pm

Charlotte Hornets guard Josh Green (foot) is expected to play on Friday night against the Clippers. Green wasn't available for Wednesday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets because of right foot soreness, marking his third absence of the 2024-25 campaign. But it's good news for Charlotte, especially with LaMelo Ball (ankle), Mark Williams (foot), and Cody Martin (sports hernia) ruled out. While Miles Bridges should remain Charlotte's top offensive contributor against Los Angeles, Green should be viewed by fantasy managers as a risky, high-upside streaming option.

Mark Williams Thu Jan 30 8:10pm

Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams (foot) won't play on Friday against the Clippers. The 23-year-old wasn't available for Wednesday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets for injury management purposes. But he'll now miss his second-straight contest, so fantasy managers hope he'll be back on the floor on Saturday versus Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Taj Gibson will likely get the start on Friday. However, Moussa Diabate, who had 13 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal versus the Nets, should be the preferred fantasy option.

LaMelo Ball Thu Jan 30 8:00pm

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't play on Friday against the Clippers. The 2020 No. 3 overall pick sprained his left ankle in Monday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers and wasn't available on Wednesday versus the Brooklyn Nets. The Hornets plan to update his condition "as appropriate." For now, Ball will miss his 14th contest of the 2024-25 campaign, although he'll likely be sidelined for more moving ahead. With Mark Williams (foot), Cody Martin (sports hernia), and Brandon Miller (wrist) also unavailable, the team will look for added production from guys like Vasilije Micic, Moussa Diabate, and Josh Green (foot), who is probable. Of course, Miles Bridges, who had 23 points, 13 boards, two steals, and two blocks on Wednesday, should remain Charlotte's top producer.

Ja Morant Thu Jan 30 7:10pm

Memphis Grizzlies point guardJa Morant(shoulder) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets due to soreness in his right shoulder. Morant has dealt with various ailments throughout the season, playing in 28 of the Grizzlies' 47 games. If the superstar guard is officially out, Scotty Pippen will likely start, while Luke Kennard coming off the bench will see more playing time. Kennard finished with seven points, two rebounds, and seven assists in 19 minutes on the floor in Monday's loss to the Knicks.

Sam Merrill Thu Jan 30 7:00pm

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Sam Merrill (illness) is active against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. He has been upgraded from questionable to available. Merrill faced the possibility of missing a second straight game. With Caris LeVert (wrist) and Isaac Okoro (shoulder) out, Merrill will be a valuable option off the bench. However, his performances generally aren't good enough to help fantasy managers. Cleveland also has Darius Garland (rest) back in action on Thursday, which likely pushes Jaylon Tyson out of the rotation.

Jaxson Hayes Thu Jan 30 6:50pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Jaxson Hayes will take Anthony Davis' (abdomen) starting position in Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. Davis has been ruled out for at least a week, meaning Hayes should receive multiple opportunities to start in the upcoming games. Hayes has averaged 6.0 points and 8.3 rebounds in 28.7 minutes in his previous three starts this season. The Wizards allow the most fantasy points in the league to centers, so Hayes should be more productive on Thursday if he receives enough playing time. Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Koloko will provide backup at the center position.

LeBron James Thu Jan 30 6:40pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) will be in the lineup on Thursday against the Washington Wizards. His status for the game was initially uncertain when the Lakers listed James as questionable on the injury report, but he has been upgraded to available. With Anthony Davis (abdomen) out of the lineup, James will take on more scoring responsibilities. He is coming off a 31-point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers. In his first meeting with the Wizards this season, James recorded a triple-double, finishing a 111-88 win on Jan. 21 with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists.

Jamal Shead Thu Jan 30 6:40pm

According to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca, Toronto Raptors point guard Jamal Shead (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls due to an illness. Shead could be out of action for the first time since December 26th. In his last outing on Wednesday versus the Wizards, he collected 10 points, two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 21 minutes of work. Immanuel Quickley(hip) is also questionable, potentially leaving Davion Mitchell as the only true point guard for the Raptors on Friday.

Rui Hachimura Thu Jan 30 6:40pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) will be available against the Washington Wizards on Thursday. He has received an upgrade from a probable status to available ahead of tip-off. Hachimura returned from a calf problem on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring a very efficient 13 points and grabbing a pair of rebounds. With Anthony Davis (abdomen) out, Hachimura will have an opportunity to take on a larger offensive role against his former team in Thursday's game.

    Dorian Finney-Smith Thu Jan 30 6:30pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Dorian Finney-Smith (shoulder) will not play on Thursday against the Washington Wizards. He has been downgraded from questionable to out. The Lakers are pretty banged up right now, meaning the likes of Dalton Knecht, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Cam Reddish will need to take on additional responsibility. Finney-Smith's first chance to make a comeback will be on Saturday against the New York Knicks.

Gabe Vincent Thu Jan 30 6:30pm

Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) will not return to the lineup on Thursday against the Washington Wizards. Although there was a possibility Vincent would be ready to come back from his knee injury after being listed as questionable on the injury report, he has since been downgraded to out. Shake Milton and Bronny James Jr. will absorb Vincent's minutes on Thursday. However, they are not recommended fantasy options.
