Lauri Markkanen Mon Feb 24 4:40pm

Utah Jazz forwardLauri Markkanen(back) is out for Monday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. Markkanen is unavailable after playing through a lower back issue and suiting up for five straight games. With Markkanen,Jordan Clarkson(foot),John Collins(back),Collin Sexton(ankle) andWalker Kessler(illness) all on the shelf for Monday's contest, Isaiah Collier will be the only regular starter in the lineup versus Portland. Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh and KJ Martin will take on plenty of extra with so many of Utah's regulars out of action.

Chet Holmgren Mon Feb 24 4:30pm

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/centerChet Holmgren(rest) will be unavailable against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday due to rest. Holmgren will get the evening off after finishing with 19 points, four rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 28 minutes on Sunday in a win over the Timberwolves. The 24-year-old has played in 15 games this season, averaging 15.3 points, 8.1 points, 1.7 assists, and 2.9 blocks. Isaiah Hartenstein will likely see more minutes on the floor with Holmgren out.

Joel Embiid Mon Feb 24 4:00pm

According to ESPN'sShams Charania, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid(knee) won't play against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Charania also reports that Embiid and the 76ers are consulting with doctors and meeting with specialists after he completed new imaging on Monday. Lately, there has been speculation about whether the Sixers will shut down the 30-year-old for the remainder of the season. Fantasy managers should think about addingAndre Drummond, where available, considering he could be in line for more time on the floor moving forward if Embiid remains on the shelf.Guerschon Yabuselewould be in the same boat if the big man is shut down, with the 29-year-old averaging 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 27 starts this season.

    Kel'el Ware Mon Feb 24 3:00pm

Miami Heat forward Kel'el Ware (ankle) has appeared on the injury report as probable to face the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. He's dealing with some discomfort in his left ankle, so they'll likely just make sure he feels good to go in warm-ups. In their last game on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks, Ware posted 12 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and one block. The rookie has come into his own as the season progressed and has been a quality option in category leagues. If he ends up getting downgraded before tip-off, Kyle Anderson could see some more time in the frontcourt.

Tyler Herro Mon Feb 24 2:50pm

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (shoulder) is dealing with shoulder soreness but has been listed as probable for Monday's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks. The 25-year-old is enjoying one of the best seasons of his six-year career with averages of 24.2 points, 5.6 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 threes, and 2.7 turnovers per game. On top of that, it's been one of his healthiest seasons as well, and he's on pace to his mark for games played in a single season. If, for some reason, he doesn't suit up, Duncan Robinson and Terry Rozier would be the next two in line for more minutes.

Ben Simmons Mon Feb 24 2:40pm

Los Angeles Clippers forward Ben Simmons (knee) will sit out of Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons for injury management on his left knee. The point-forward has appeared in three games since joining the Clippers but hasn't been able to play in back-to-backs. While he's returned solid fantasy value in deeper leagues, his health continues to hold him back the most. With Kawhi Leonard (foot) and Norman Powell (knee) both ruled out, Bogdan Bogdanovic and MarJon Beauchamp should see plenty of minutes in this contest. In their last game against the Indiana Pacers, Bogdanovic posted 11 points, two assists, one rebound, and one steal.

    T.J. McConnell Mon Feb 24 2:30pm

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell (ankle) has been tagged as questionable due to an ankle sprain for Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets. The veteran backup has only missed one game so far this season and is in danger of missing his first since November 8. He's averaging 9.8 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals across 18.4 minutes per game. If he's unable to play, Bennedict Mathurin and Ben Sheppard could see some extra minutes off of the bench. Mathurin registered eight points, one rebound, one assist, and one block on 21 minutes in their last game.

Nikola Vucevic Mon Feb 24 1:10pm

Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic (calf) has been added to the team's injury report on Monday afternoon while he deals with calf tightness. Right now, the veteran big man is considered probable to play against the Philadelphia 76ers, but popping up on the injury report this late is never a good sign. If he's unable to play, Zach Collins would likely move into the starting lineup since he's the only center on the depth chart that's not injured. Julian Phillips may see some added opportunities as well after getting 24 minutes in their last game which turned into nine points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.

Nikola Jovic Mon Feb 24 1:00pm

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) suffered a fractured shooting hand during Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks and was not able to return after the first quarter. The team reported that X-rays were taken and they showed a break on his second metacarpal. There's a strong possibility that Jovic will miss an extended period of time, just like Tyler Herro did after breaking his hand during the Heat's 2023 playoff run. In the meantime, it seems Davion Mitchell, Kel'el Ware, and Duncan Robinson will receive plenty of minutes. Mitchell and Ware were already in the starting lineup and saw 33 minutes or more in their last game.

Mark Williams Mon Feb 24 12:40pm

Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams (foot) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings with injury management on his left foot. This is partially expected since Williams hasn't played both halves of a back-to-back and the Hornets have a game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Jusuf Nurkic should see a significant bump in minutes for this contest. In four games with his new team, Nurkic averages 7.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. He'll likely be a popular streamer in regular fantasy leagues as well as an option in DFS lineups.

Julius Randle Mon Feb 24 11:00am

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle (Adductor) has missed the last 10 games with an adductor injury but could be slated to return during the team's current road trip. As reported by Shams Charania of ESPN, the team is "optimistic" about getting back the three-time All-Star during their road trip along with Donte DiVincenzo (toe). Randle has seen quite the dip in stats since joining his new team with averages of 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.5 threes, and 2.8 turnovers per game. Once Randle and DiVincenzo return, Jaylen Clark, Terrence Shannon Jr., and Nickeil Alexander-Walker could all see a hit in fantasy impact.

Donte DiVincenzo Mon Feb 24 10:50am

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo (toe) hasn't played since January 15 due to a toe injury that he suffered against the Golden State Warriors. At the time, reports stated that he would avoid surgery and was set to be out for at least three weeks. Now, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, the team is optimistic about getting him back on the court during their four-game road trip that spans from Monday to Sunday. Across 40 games, DiVincenzo has averaged 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.6 threes per game this season.

Nicolas Claxton Mon Feb 24 10:20am

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (nasal) remains on the team's injury report for his nasal fracture but has been listed as active for their Monday night matchup with the Washington Wizards. The 25-year-old has had his fair share of struggles with injuries this season but has appeared in 49 games while averaging 10.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks across 26.8 minutes per game. He should remain in the starting center spot as Day'Ron Sharpe continues to get backup minutes.

Tyler Herro Mon Feb 24 12:30am

Miami's G Tyler Herro recorded a double-double, scoring 40 points with 11 assists in a 113-120 loss to Milwaukee on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Walker Kessler Sun Feb 23 7:30pm

Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler (illness) has been listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. The seven-footer is feeling under the weather and may have to come out of the lineup following a pair of big performances. Kessler gobbled up 36 rebounds during the team's back-to-back set against Oklahoma City and Houston. Kyle Filipowski stands to benefit the most from Kessler's absence and will likely take his spot in the starting lineup. In the most recent game Kessler missed, Filipowski racked up 20 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes as a starter.

Lauri Markkanen Sun Feb 23 7:20pm

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has played through a lower back issue lately and even managed to complete a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday. However, the questionable designation leaves Markkanen's status up in the air again. Walker Kessler (illness) is also questionable on the injury report. At the same time, Collin Sexton (ankle) and John Collins (back) remain out, so Isaiah Collier may be the only regular starter in the lineup against the Trail Blazers.

Collin Sexton Sun Feb 23 7:10pm

Utah Jazz guard Collin Sexton (ankle) will miss a ninth consecutive contest on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Utah's spark plug injured his left ankle at the start of the month. On Saturday, the team announced that Sexton has resumed on-court activities and will be re-evaluated early next week. It's possible that Sexton will be ready to return to action on Wednesday when the Jazz host the Sacramento Kings. Utah will also be without Jordan Clarkson (foot) and John Collins (back) for Monday's game, giving Brice Sensabaugh and Kenyon Martin Jr. a chance to remain in the first unit.

John Collins Sun Feb 23 7:10pm

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) has been ruled out for Monday's meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. He is troubled by back issues and will miss a second consecutive game. Kenyon Martin Jr. filled in for Collins in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Houston Rockets. He put in a decent performance against his former team, notching 11 points and four rebounds in a 125-114 victory. Brice Sensabaugh, Kyle Filipowski, and Cody Williams are also potential beneficiaries of Collins' absence. Another chunk of frontcourt minutes may open up on Monday, as Lauri Markkanen (back) and Walker Kessler (illness) are both listed as questionable for the game.

Jordan Clarkson Sun Feb 23 7:00pm

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) will remain absent on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The former Sixth Man of the Year is dealing with a foot injury and will be out for the third time in four games. Collin Sexton (ankle) is not ready to return either, meaning Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George should continue to receive a lot of work in the backcourt. George was moved to a bench role in late January, but he has continued to log 30-plus minutes regularly and ran the show with 30 points in Saturday's win against the Houston Rockets. Collier has notched five double-doubles in his past nine appearances as a starter.

Robert Williams Sun Feb 23 6:50pm

Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (knee) will not play on Monday against the Utah Jazz. He has been ruled out for a second consecutive game due to left knee soreness. With Deandre Ayton (calf) also still on the mend, Donovan Clingan and Jabari Walker will fill the minutes at the center position. The latter impressed with 20 points and 14 rebounds in Saturday's blowout win against the Charlotte Hornets. Clingan has had a couple of quiet showings but is averaging 7.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks in a starting role.
