Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospectThomas Harrington allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 batters in six innings of work at Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday. It's the third straight quality start for the 23-year-old, pitching to a 2.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and an 18:8 K:BB over 18 IP over that time. With some earlier struggles, including one outing in which he allowed nine earned runs, the righty owns a 5.46 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 12.2 percent K-BB% through 11 starts (56 IP). The Pirates' third-ranked prospect (MLB No. 80) made two starts with the big league club in early April, and while they didn't go well, the 6-foot-2 hurler surely will get another shot at some point this season. Until then, however, he is not worth stashing in season-long leagues.

Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Jordan Lawlar went 1-for-5 on Saturday, smacking his ninth home run of the season, walking once, andswiping two bags for Triple-A Reno. The D-backs' top-ranked prospect has hit safely in nine of 12 games since being demoted back on May 29, slashing .288/.383/.596 with three doubles, two triples, three home runs, and three steals during that time. It should only be a matter of time before he gets another shot with the big league club, but hopefully the next time around, there will be regularat-bats available so that he can stay in rhythm. Despite struggling during his brief stints in the majors, there is still 20/20 potential here in the future, although the 22-year-old doesn't warrant stashing in most redraft leagues at this point.

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Saturday for High-A Dayton. The 20-year-old injured his thumb in the preseason and completed a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona ComplexLeague affiliate, finally getting activated off the IL on June 3. Since then, the Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 71) has gone on to hit .306 (11-for-36) with a double, a home run, and a 5:7 BB:K in 10 games played thus far. The left-handed slugger is coming off a 20-homer campaign at High-A in 2024, and witha 13.0 percent walk rate, he posted a strong .355 OBP. With a good showing at High-A, he should be on his way to Double-A Chattanooga in no time, and MLB.com's top prospects list estimates an MLB debut next year. If that comes to fruition, his 60-grade power could be a fantasyasset, although he's not a factor in the stolen base department.
From RotoBaller
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop/outfield prospect Konnor Griffin went 3-for-4 on Saturday for High-A Greensboro, including his first home run at that level. The left-handed hitter also walked once, tallying two RBI and four runs scored along with two stolen bases in the contest. The 19-year-old has recorded a hit in each of his first five games at High-A, with multiple hits in four of the five, going 10-for-23 (.435) with four doubles, a home run, five RBI, nine runs scored, five steals, and a 2:2 BB:K. The ninth overallpick of the 2024 Draft is making his first run through professional baseball and is making it look easy, hitting .348 with a .963 OPS between Single-A and High-A, with 10 home runs, 41 RBI, 58 runs scored, and 31 stolen bases in 55 games played. At this rate, the Pirates' second-ranked prospect appears destined for Double-A and maybe even higher before the season is out. Dynasty managers should have a keen interest in MLB's 34th-ranked prospect.

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Matt Strahm was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. He didn't need much time to convert the save as he needed only seven pitches to convert his third save of the season. It was a clean outing from Strahm who could begin to see more save chances. Current closer Jordan Romano has allowed three runs over his last four outings. Strahm is someone to watch in fantasy formats right now.
From RotoBaller
San Diego Padres relief pitcher Ranger Suarez was called upon to protect a four-run lead against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. The normally reliable closer was hit around in this non-save situation. He gave up three straight hits before finally striking out Corbin Carroll to record the first out. After that, Suarez gave up a hit to Ketel Marte and a game-tying triple to Geraldo Perdomo. Suarez was removed from the game and left-hander Adrian Morejon allowed an inherited runner to score and give Suarez the loss. This was an awful performance that inflated Suarez to a 3.23 ERA on the season. Despite this disaster, Suarez has been reliable, converting 21-of-23 save chances. Fantasy managers should keep riding with him despite the ugly outing.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani has been off to a slow start in June, but came ready to swing the bat on Saturday. Ohtani kicked off the game with a leadoff home run in the first inning. He would later hit another solo home run in the sixth inning. Ohtani finished the night 2-for-3 with two homers, two RBI, and two walks in the win. Ohtani currently leads the National League in homers and trails only American League sluggers Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh. Ohtani is slashing .290/.385/.638 with 25 homers, 41 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 69 games.

San Diego Padres starting pitcher Michael King (shoulder) is unfortunately still unable to throw the baseball right now. Roughly a week ago, King was shut down from throwing while the organization determined the best treatment option for him. It doesn't sound like there has been any positive developments since then. Recently, Padres manager Mike Shildt said there's really nothing they can do until King is able to pick up and throw the baseball again. King has been sidelined since late May due to right shoulder inflammation. His rehab work has stalled, so it doesn't sound like King is going to be back on the mound anytime soon. There is currently no timetable for his return, so fantasy managers will just need to be patient.
From RotoBaller
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander (shoulder) has not been cleared to swing the bat yet, according to the team's manager John Schneider. Santander has been throwing the baseball, but hasn't progressed to hitting yet. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since late May due to left shoulder inflammation. He did receive a PRP injection in June, but it hasn't helped him too much. Once Santander has begun hitting, he'll likely need to go on a minor league rehab assignment. There is currently no timetable for his return to the field. He was struggling before the injury, so fantasy managers might need to make a decision soon.
From RotoBaller
San Diego Padres outfielder Jackson Merrill (head) was removed early from Saturday's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a possible concussion. Merrill suffered an apparent head injury while attempting to steal second base in the seventh inning. He was on the ground for a while before exiting with the trainers. He went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk before leaving. Padres manager Mike Shildt said afterwards that Merrill was woozy, which is never a good sign. Merrill will undergo further testing on Sunday, so fantasy managers should get more information soon. Fantasy managers should consider Merrill as day-to-day for the moment.
