Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, one run scored, and one RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Marlins. He has been on fire as of late, with six extra-base hits in his past three games and 13 at-bats. The 25-year-old is now slashing .281/.328/.491 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI, and 30 runs, making him the second most valuable catcher in standard 5x5 roto leagues behind only Cal Raleigh. While it's unlikely that he finishes the season as the second-best catcher, it's safe to say that he is a top-12 option at the position from here on out. The slugger started at DH and hit third in the lineup on Wednesday, which is an arrangement that has helped him accumulate the fourth-most plate appearances among all backstops.

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Tommy Edman (ankle) is missing from the lineup on Wednesday due to a tweaked ankle, reports Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. While the injury doesn't sound serious in nature, it's worth noting that this is the same ankle that landed Edman on the injured list from April 30 to May 18. While the 30-year-old is considered day-to-day for now, there's enough of a concern that Esteury Ruiz is with the team on the taxi squad in case another trip to the injured list is necessary. He was just getting back into the swing of things as of late, with at least one hit in five of his last seven games.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (back) was scratched from Wednesday's lineup with back tightness. Brooks Lee, who was originally getting the night off, will start at shortstop in his place. The severity of the injury is not yet clear, but hopefully it's just a day-to-day issue. Correa has struggled to stay on the field over the course of his career, playing in at least 135 games only four times out of nine full-length seasons. The 30-year-old has played in 52 games so far in 2025 but has slashed just .241/.285/.380. More details on the severity of the injury may come out after the game.
From RotoBaller
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Joey Bart (concussion) has returned to full baseball activities but is still in the league's concussion protocol, according to senior director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk. Bart is making progress but isn't ready to be cleared while being monitored on a day-by-day basis. When he's finally cleared, the Pirates and doctors will determine whether he'll need to go on a minor-league rehab assignment. Before suffering a head injury on a backswing last Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Bart was hitting .240 with a home run, 11 RBI and a .347 on-base percentage as Pittsburgh's primary catcher through 44 games. Since Bart went on the seven-day concussion injured list, Henry Davis has started five of the six games behind the dish for the Bucs.

Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman (quadriceps) said his recovery from a right-quadriceps strain is going at "warp speed." "About 10 times better," Bregman said on Tuesday. Although an MRI exam showed that his injury was similar to a left-quad strain that kept him out for almost 10 weeks in 2021 with the Houston Astros, it looks like the 31-year-old veteran won't miss nearly that much time this time around. His recovery is going well, but both Bregman and the Red Sox aren't putting a timeline on his return from the 10-day injured list. All fantasy managers can do is stash Bregman in an IL spot and hope he's as productive as he was at the plate when he eventually returns. In the meantime, rookie Marcelo Mayer has been filling in at the hot corner in Beantown against right-handed pitchers. Bregman was hitting .299 with 11 homers, 35 RBI and 32 runs in 197 at-bats at the time of his injury.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (hamstring) is running and should resume baseball activities soon, according to interim manager Tony Mansolino. Mullins landed on the 10-day injured list last Friday with a right-hamstring strain but could return relatively quickly, although it may not come when he's first eligible this Sunday. The 30-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder really struggled in the month of May, going 15-for-84 (.179) with four home runs, four doubles, 11 RBI, three steals, eight runs scored, three walks and 27 strikeouts in 88 plate appearances. Mullins should at least be involved in a platoon in center field when he comes off the injured list, but with Baltimore's outfield getting healthier, the former 13th-rounder might have to swing the bat better to be in the lineup on a regular basis. He has 10 homers and eight steals through 181 at-bats in 2025.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, according to The Baltimore Banner's Andy Kostka. O'Neill is expected to join Triple-A Norfolk as he wraps up his rehab from a left-shoulder impingement. Barring a setback for the oft-injured 29-year-old outfielder, O'Neill could rejoin the big-league roster at some point next week. The Canadian has an enticing power profile after hitting 30-plus home runs for the second time in his career in 2024 with Boston, but he also continues to battle nagging injuries and was slashing just .188/.280/.325 with a career-worst .605 OPS with two homers, 10 RBI and 27 strikeouts in 93 trips to the plate in his first 24 games with the O's before getting injured. O'Neill figures to play regularly when he returns from the IL.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Orioles infielder Jordan Westburg (hamstring) was scheduled to play in minor-league rehab games with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday and Wednesday before the Orioles decide on his next step, according to The Baltimore Banner's Andy Kostka. In four rehab games, Westburg has gone 4-for-15 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored for Norfolk. Although the 26-year-old wasn't exactly tearing the cover off the baseball earlier this year before he got injured, Westburg is expected to return to Baltimore as their regular at third base, possibly this weekend in a series in Sacramento against the Athletics. For the volume alone, Westburg will be valuable as a corner infielder in deep-mixed leagues. He went 20-for-92 (.217) with four homers and six RBI before landing on the IL, but the former first-rounder was a first-time All-Star in 2024, when he slugged 18 homers and drove in 63.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola (ankle, side) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Thursday, but instead he'll be shut down for a day or two, according to manager Rob Thomson. Nola felt some stiffness in his right side, although Thomson said it's "very mild" and the team is being overly cautious. The 32-year-old veteran is currently on the 15-day injured list and is recovering from a sprained right ankle, but now he's dealing with another ailment. It doesn't sound like Nola will be pushed back too far in his rehab, but it's something else to worry about for a normally solid fantasy pitcher that was really struggling before going on the shelf. Nola should be stashed in an IL spot in all fantasy leagues, but so far he's gone 1-7 with a 6.16 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 16 walks in 49 2/3 frames over his nine starts.

The New York Yankees haven't made a decision on the next steps for outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) as he rehabs from tennis elbow in both of his arms. Manager Aaron Boone is hoping to have more concrete plans for Stanton in the next 24 hours. The 35-year-old veteran slugger has been making progress and was taking live at-bats at the team's spring training complex in Tampa last week, but he's not quite ready to come off the injured list to make his 2025 season debut. The next step will likely be to send Stanton on what could be a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment. Even if Stanton doesn't have any setbacks with his elbows once he begins playing in minor-league games, fantasy managers might not get him back before the All-Star break in mid-July. Stanton still has the potential to provide elite power in stretches when healthy, but it's fair to wonder how productive he'll be after such a long layoff.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Roki Sasaki (shoulder) was seen playing catch at Dodger Stadium ahead of Wednesday's matchup against the New York Mets. Sasaki continues to work his way back from a right shoulder impingement that has kept him sidelined for nearly a month. The right-hander has started a throwing program, but is still multiple weeks away from getting back on the mound. Sasaki figures to need a few rehab starts before being activated off the injured list. The hope is that Sasaki can return in late June or early July.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder/infielder Tommy Edman is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the New York Mets. Edman will take a seat for the second straight game. It's unclear why Edman is getting benched for the second straight game, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. Edman did end up going 0-for-2 off the bench on Tuesday. Enrique Hernandez will take over second base and bat ninth versus right-hander Griffin Canning on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson (hip) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Wilson makes his way back to the lineup following a one-game absence due to a neck injury he suffered on Monday. This is great news for fantasy managers as Wilson has been crushing the ball this season. He's slashing .355/.393/.504 with seven home runs and 32 RBI in 58 games. He'll cover shortstop and bat second versus right-hander Zebby Matthews on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the New York Mets. Smith will now sit out for the second time in this series. He has been struggling lately going 0-for-9 over his last three games, so it makes sense to rest him on Wednesday. In his absence, Dalton Rushing will start behind the plate and bat eighth versus right-hander Griffin Canning. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.
From RotoBaller
Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) has been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. It's unclear when Carpenter suffered the injury, but he has been pulled from the lineup due to hamstring tightness. Hopefully, it's only a day-to-day issue, but hamstring issues often do linger around. The Tigers should give more information on the situation soon. In the meantime, Wenceel Perez will cover right field and bat fifth versus left-hander Jared Shuster on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
The Texas Rangers activated right-handed pitching prospect Kumar Rocker (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list, and he is making the start on the road at George M. Steinbrenner Field against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. Rocker is the team's No. 2 prospect, but there are several reasons why fantasy manager will want to avoid him in his first game back in the big leagues against Tampa. First, the 25-year-old Vanderbilt product only threw 53 pitches in his final minor-league rehab start, so he's unlikely to go deep in Wednesday's start. It's not like Rocker was looking great before his stint on the IL, going 1-3 with an 8.10 ERA and 1.75 WHIP with 16 K's and five walks in 20 innings over his first five starts. Rocker will be facing a Rays team that currently boasts a .700 OPS, which ranks 17th in baseball. Don't expect another repeat of Rocker's outing against Tampa on April 6 when he allowed a run in five innings.
From RotoBaller
Toronto Blue Jays infielder/outfielder Addison Barger is starting at third base and is batting in the three-hole in Wednesday's game at the Rogers Centre against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies and rookie right-hander Mick Abel, who will be making just his second start in the majors. Barger, 25, is one of the hottest hitters in baseball right now and is gaining opportunities in the Jays lineup with both Anthony Santander (shoulder) and Daulton Varsho (hamstring) on the injured list. He went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's loss to the Phils while homering for a fourth straight game. In addition to the power of late, Barger has hit safely in his last six games, going 9-for-21 (.429) with four homers, a double, eight RBI and seven runs scored. The former sixth-rounder in 2018 has become an everyday player for Toronto and is currently slashing .274/.338/.508 with an .846 OPS, six homers and 19 RBI in 124 at-bats.
From RotoBaller
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the hosting Tampa Bay Rays and right-hander Shane Baz, starting in right field and batting seventh. Garcia has endured a season-long slump in 2025 and was benched for the last four games for a "mental break." The 32-year-old Cuban slugger enters Wednesday's contest slashing just .211/.258/.372 with a .630 OPS, seven home runs, 27 RBI, 17 runs scored, five stolen bases, 11 walks and 57 strikeouts in 217 plate appearances over 57 games played. He'll return to face a pitcher in Baz with an ERA near 5.00, but fantasy managers might want to keep Garcia benched until he shows some signs of a turnaround. It doesn't help his DFS value that he's in the seven-hole, either. Garcia is hitless in just three career at-bats versus Baz.
From RotoBaller
The Chicago White Sox announced on Wednesday that they placed infielder Lenyn Sosa (hip) on the 10-day injured list with a right hip-flexor strain and recalled infielder Tim Elko from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Sosa went 0-for-4 in Monday's loss to the Detroit Tigers and didn't play on Tuesday. The 25-year-old has hit .274 on the season but with just four home runs and 17 RBI for the last-place team. In his three-plus MLB seasons with the White Sox, Sosa has hit .241 as a part-time player. With Sosa now on the shelf for at least 10 days, expect Josh Rojas to see most of the playing time at the keystone in the Windy City. Given the nature of Sosa's injury, there's no guarantee he'll be ready to come off the IL when he's eligible on June 13.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker (finger) remains out of the team's starting lineup as the series continues in D.C. on Wednesday against the hosting Washington Nationals. Seiya Suzuki is starting in right field and batting second, while Justin Turner will serve as the designated hitter again and bat eighth against Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Tucker jammed his right ring finger in Sunday's series finale against the Cincinnati Reds and will miss a second straight game. He's considered day-to-day right now, and fantasy managers should check back on Thursday to see if he's available for the series finale against the Nats. Suzuki is hitting .429 with two RBI in seven career at-bats against Gore, while Turner has hit .750 in just four at-bats against the southpaw. Tucker is having a fantastic first season in Chicago and is a must-start in fantasy when he's active.
