St. Louis Cardinals outfielder/first baseman Alec Burleson was a key contributor in the team's 6-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. Burleson cracked a two-run homer in the first inning and later chipped in an RBI single in the fifth. He finished the day 2-for-5, extending his hitting streak to nine games. So far in June, Burleson has batted a sizzling .391 (27-for-69) with four homers, 14 RBI, 10 runs, and 7:4 K:BB while taking on an everyday role in the Cardinals' lineup. The club has even been starting the lefty-swinging Burleson against southpaws in recent games. He'll have a tough matchup Sunday with Reds lefty Andrew Abbott scheduled to toe the rubber. Burleson has gone 0-for-6 against Abbott.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong continued his breakout 2025 with a stellar showing against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. Crow-Armstrong helped the Cubs to a 10-7 win with a 2-for-4 performance that included a solo home run and a double. The first 20/20 player in the majors this season, the 23-year-old is hitting .270/.308/.563 with 21 HRs, 61 RBI, 23 steals, and 56 runs scored in 315 plate appearances. Crow-Armstrong has been a fantasy goldmine, but he'll face a difficult test Sunday with Mariners ace right-hander Logan Gilbert scheduled to get the ball at Wrigley Field.

San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. smashed a three-run home run in a 5-1 win over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. With the Padres leading 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Tatis stepped up with two men on and belted a 380-footer off right-hander Taylor Clarke. Tatis also walked during a 1-for-3 night. The homer broke a career-worst drought for Tatis, who hadn't gone deep in 21 games dating to May 27. It was also his first hit since Monday. He entered the game mired in an 0-for-13 skid over his previous four contests. Despite his recent struggles, the two-time All-Star is still having a strong season. Tatis is slashing .268/.357/.461 with 14 HRs, 34 RBI, 56 runs scored, and 15 steals in 325 plate appearances. He'll take on Royals righty Seth Lugo on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos hit a solo home run to help the club to a 3-2 win over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Ramos' first-inning blast off right-hander Brayan Bello was his only hit in a 1-for-4 afternoon. After earning an All-Star nod in 2024, Ramos is quietly putting together a terrific follow-up campaign. The 25-year-old is slashing .282/.360/.470 with 13 homers, 39 RBI, 48 runs, and five stolen bases over 328 plate appearances. Ramos looks like a shoo-in for a second straight season of 20-plus HRs and 70-plus RBI. He also has a strong chance to reach double-digit steals for the first time.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jose Berrios looked sharp on the mound during Saturday's outing against the Chicago White Sox. Berrios gave up two hits early, but retired the next 14-of-15 batters he faced. The White Sox weren't able to do much against him as he scored one unearned run in the sixth inning. Berrios tossed 7.2 innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits, while walking three batters and striking out five in the win. A nice bounce back outing for Berrios who allowed six runs to the Philadelphia Phillies in his last start. Now, he'll get a tough challenge against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in this next outing.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ remained hot at the plate during Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He got the fun started off early with a home run off right-hander Emerson Hancock in the first inning. He wasn't done there as he blasted a three-run shot off Hancock in the second inning. He'd finish his day 2-for-4 with two homers, four RBI, and one walk in the win. Happ has now homered in three straight games as pitchers can't seem to keep him in the ballpark. He's slashing .250/.343/.423 with 11 homers, 38 RBI, and four steals this season. Happ needs to be rostered and started in most fantasy formats right now.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh continued his power hitting ways during Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs. Surprisingly, Raleigh was held in check until he blasted a solo home run off right-hander Daniel Palencia in the ninth inning. He would finish this game 1-for-5 with a solo homer and one RBI in the loss. Raleigh has now homered three times over his last four games. He is the first player to reach 30 home runs this season, and we aren't even to the All-Star break yet. Raleigh is on pace to put up record setting numbers and we're just along for the ride.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval was handed the ball with a three-run lead versus the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Doval struggled early as he allowed three straight hits and two runs. He was able to settle down and retire the next three batters to earn his 12th save of the season. Doval has been lights out over the last few months, so fantasy managers shouldn't be alarmed by this outing. He has pitched in three of the last four games, so fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he is unavailable on Sunday. Doval holds a 2.06 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 33/15 K/BB ratio across 35 innings this season. He should be rostered in most fantasy formats where saves matter.
From RotoBaller
Houston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. (foot) was able to play catch ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. The plan is for McCullers to throw again on Sunday. If everything goes well, McCullers could throw off the mound on Monday. It sounds like McCullers is trending in the right direction and could only miss the minimal amount of time on the injured list. The Astros should have a better idea of McCullers timetable after this weekend. Fantasy managers should wait patiently as McCullers could be back on the mound soon.
From RotoBaller
Texas Rangers relief pitcher Chris Martin was asked to close out the game in the ninth inning during Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Lately, Robert Garcia has been the closer in Texas, but it doesn't look like he was available for this game. Instead, Martin was called upon to hold a one-run lead in the final frame. The veteran right-hander tossed a scoreless inning while striking out two batters to earn his second save of the season. Martin now holds a 1.48 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and a 28/3 K/BB ratio across 24.1 innings this season. Martin isn't someone that must be rostered right now, but it looks like he's definitely a trusted option in the ninth inning.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants corner infielder Rafael Devers came up with a clutch hit during Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Devers went 0-for-5 during his first matchup against his former team on Friday. However, Devers was able to do some damage with the bat on Saturday. The left-handed slugger blasted a two-run home run off right-hander Brayan Bello in the third inning. It was his first homer with his new team and a big hit that would help his team get the win. He finished the game 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in the 3-2 victory.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp looked strong on the mound during Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox. It's nice to see Roupp rebounding after giving up six earned runs during his last outing. On Saturday, Roupp tossed six shutout innings, allowing three hits, three walks, and struck out seven batters in the win. Roupp has shown flashes of being solid, but still remains an inconsistent option. He could be worth looking at as a streaming option in a favorable outing against the Chicago White Sox next week. However, Roupp isn't someone that needs to be rostered in most fantasy formats right now.
From RotoBaller
San Diego Padres outfielder Jason Heyward (oblique) has been designated for assignment by the organization on Saturday. Heyward is currently on the injured list, but the team has decided to remove him from the roster rather than activate him. In a corresponding move, left-hander Bryan Hoeing (shoulder) has been activated off the injured list. Heyward is unlikely to have a ton of interest on the open market given he's slashing .176/.223/.271 this season. The veteran outfielder could be a possible veteran presence for a young contending team, but probably won't have too many bidders. Heyward doesn't need to be rostered in any fantasy formats right now.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies. Carroll is now set to miss his third game in a row after getting hit in the hand on Wednesday. Luckily, D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll is close to getting back on the field. That being said, fantasy managers should expect Carroll back in the mix within the next few days. In the meantime, Randal Grichuk will cover right field and bat fifth versus left-hander Carson Palmquist on Saturday. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday to see if Carroll is ready to return.
From RotoBaller
New York Mets relief pitcher Max Kranick (elbow) has been placed on the 15-day injured list. He underwent an MRI that revealed a flexor strain in his right elbow, so Kranick will miss some time. The expectation is that Kranick is going to miss 3-4 weeks of action. That being said, Kranick is unlikely to get back on the mound until after the All-Star break. Before going down, Kranick posted a 3.65 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 25/5 K/BB ratio across 37 innings of work.
From RotoBaller
Colorado Rockies infielder Thairo Estrada (hand) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This marks the fourth game in a row that Estrada has missed due to a right hand injury. He was hit by a pitch on the right hand on Tuesday and hasn't been able to suit up since then. The organization doesn't believe he'll require a trip to the injured list, but he might end up on the shelf if he's not back in the lineup soon. Orlando Arcia will take eighth and cover second base versus right-hander Merrill Kelly on Saturday.
From RotoBaller
New York Yankees right-hander Clarke Schmidt was pulled from a no-hit bid after tossing a career-high 103 pitches against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. Schmidt fired seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts, two walks, and a hit by pitch in a 9-0 victory. He improved to 4-3 on the season and continued an incredible run of pitching over the past couple of weeks. Schmidt has now amassed 25 1/3 scoreless innings in a row dating back to June 4. Having put up three straight quality starts of scoreless ball, Schmidt's ERA is down to 2.84 with 65:26 K:BB across 69 2/3 frames. The 29-year-old will try to extend the streak against the Athletics on Friday.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg (finger) suffered a jammed finger in the team's 9-0 loss to the New York Yankees on Saturday, manager Tony Mansolino announced. Westburg started the game at DH, but he had to depart early after drawing a walk and stealing a base. X-rays came back negative, and the Orioles are "hoping it's day-to-day," Mansolino said. The Orioles are optimistic that Westburg will avoid a stint on the injured list, though fantasy managers should monitor his status over the next few days. Westburg previously spent over a month on the IL with a hamstring injury. He came back June 10 and has since hit .256/.326/.538 with three home runs and eight RBI in 11 games.
From RotoBaller
Texas Rangers pitcher Jon Gray (wrist) is making progress in his recovery from a fractured right wrist. Gray got through a "glorified bullpen" session of approximately 35 pitches on Saturday unscathed, according to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. The Rangers have gone all season without Gray after he suffered the injury in spring training. The right-hander totaled 23 appearances (19 starts) of 4.47 ERA ball with 7.54 K/9 and 2.45 BB/9 over 102 2/3 innings last season. It remains unclear when Gray will debut this year.
From RotoBaller
The Atlanta Braves had to place ace Chris Sale (rib cage) on the 15-day injured list with a fractured left rib cage on Saturday. Sale's absence will leave a massive void in their rotation. It'll also lead to more opportunities for right-handed prospect Didier Fuentes, who will stay in their starting five with Sale out. "We'll go with the five guys we have," manager Brian Snitker told Gabe Burns of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. MLB Pipeline's 10th-ranked Braves prospect, Fuentes made his major league debut Friday and struggled in a 6-2 loss to the Miami Marlins. Fuentes logged five innings of four-run ball with six hits allowed and 3:1 K:BB. With the Braves set to take on the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies next week, Fuentes should be avoided from a fantasy perspective in his next start.
