Stuart Fairchild Mon Jun 16 12:20pm CT

The Atlanta Braves announced on Monday that they reinstated outfielder Stuart Fairchild (finger) from the 10-day injured list and designated outfielder Jose Azocar for assignment in a corresponding move. Fairchild is finally ready to return from a dislocated pinkie finger that has kept him sidelined since late May. The 29-year-old played in three minor-league rehab games and went 5-for-12 at the plate. Now back in the big leagues, he'll strictly be a bench bat for the Braves will seeing occasional playing time in the outfield against left-handed pitching. Fairchild can continue to be ignored in mixed fantasy leagues. He's played in only 21 games for the Braves this year and has gone 6-for-33 (.182) with two RBI, two steals, seven runs and nine strikeouts in 36 plate appearances. Fairchild will mostly be used as a defensive replacement late in games.

Jordan Westburg Mon Jun 16 12:10pm CT

Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 11-2 win against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. He also singled, drew a walk, and scored thrice. Westburg reached base on three instances for the second time in four games and hit his third long ball since returning from the injured list just under a week ago. It was the seventh time he's gone yard this season. The 26-year-old has picked up where he left off before landing on the IL, batting .312 (15-for-48) with three doubles, one triple, four homers, 10 RBI, and eight runs scored over his last 12 appearances. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning he was moved up to the leadoff spot for Sunday's matchup.

Chris Sale Mon Jun 16 12:10pm CT

Atlanta Braves left-hander Chris Sale will make his next start this Wednesday in New York against the division-rival New York Mets, according to The Athletic's David O'Brien. It opens up Sale to be able to start again against the Mets next week. Sale was originally scheduled to make his second start of last week in Sunday's series finale in an excellent matchup against the Colorado Rockies, but instead he's been pushed to Wednesday. The 36-year-old reigning National League Cy Young will get a much tougher matchup against the Mets in his next two starts, but Sale remains a must-start in fantasy leagues after racking up a season-high 11 strikeouts in seven innings last Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Sale hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in an outing since April 13 against the Tampa Bay Rays and now holds a 2.79 ERA with 107 K's and 25 walks in 80 2/3 innings in 2025.

Michael Toglia Mon Jun 16 11:50am CT

The Colorado Rockies announced that they have designated first baseman Keston Hiura for assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque and recalled first baseman Michael Toglia to the big-league roster. A few weeks ago, Toglia was optioned to the Isotopes after compiling an abysmal .194/.266/.349 slash line through 54 games. With Hiura failing to perform much better (.222/.333/.278) through his first eight appearances, and Toglia batting a fine .273 (12-for-44) in Triple-A, Colorado reversed the transaction. The former No. 23 overall pick should step back into an everyday role at first base for the Rockies with the hopes that his brief demotion breaks him out of an early-season slump.

Mason Miller Mon Jun 16 11:30am CT

Athletics reliever Mason Miller pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 3-2 win against the Kansas City Royals, notching his fourteenth save of the season. He yielded one hit and struck out two. The former third-round pick was summoned to protect a one-run lead and needed just 12 pitches (nine strikes) to slam the door on Kansas City. It was a nice rebound for him as he'd given up three earned runs in his previous outing on Friday. The 26-year-old has mostly been effective in 2025, notching 21 appearances with one earned run or fewer. However, he was tagged for two, three (twice), and five runs in his other four outings. He sports an inflated 5.33 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 25 1/3 innings. Miller has six scoreless outings over his last seven appearances.

Kyle Harrison Mon Jun 16 11:20am CT

Per the team, the Boston Red Sox have optioned newly acquired pitcher Kyle Harrison to Triple-A Worcester. Boston stunned the baseball world over the weekend when it flipped Rafael Devers for a package of players. Harrison was initially scheduled to toe the rubber on Sunday for San Francisco in their series finale with the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, he'll now presumably work out of Worcester's rotation. The 23-year-old operated from the bullpen and as a starter this season for the Giants, compiling a 1-1 record with a 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 25:9 K:BB ratio in eight appearances (four starts, 23 2/3 innings). He will likely get a chance to stick with the big-league squad at some point this season, though when that is remains unclear.

Miguel Amaya Mon Jun 16 9:10am CT

Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya (oblique) was cleared to begin a throwing program Friday, MLB.com reports. Amaya appears to have started the process of ramping up again after a left oblique strain had kept him from throwing since May 24. The Cubs anticipate that Amaya will be able to return from the injured list before the All-Star break. However, an exact target date may not be finalized until the next steps in his recovery rehab process are identified. While Amaya has been out, Carson Kelly and Reese McGuire have been splitting time behind the plate for the Cubs. Before the injury, Amaya held a .280/.313/.505 slash line with four home runs, 14 runs scored, and 25 RBI. Amaya is not worth a stash in most redraft formats; fantasy managers in redraft leagues with only one catcher spot can drop him to the waiver wire.

Yoan Moncada Mon Jun 16 9:00am CT

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Yoan Moncada (knee) did not accompany the Angels on their road trip to Baltimore and New York, and is hitting off a tee from the left side only. It could be reassessed when the team returns home on June 20, according to MLB.com. The switch-hitting third baseman landed on the injured list June 2 due to right knee inflammation and has not been able to resume swinging a bat from the right side of the plate. At this point, his timeline for a return remains uncertain, but late June is the best-case scenario for his activation. Luis Rengifo and Kevin Newman have been filling in at third base in his absence. Before the injury, Moncada had been slashing .237/.336/.505 with six home runs, 16 runs scored, 19 RBI, and no stolen bases in 113 plate appearances.

Brandon Woodruff Mon Jun 16 8:50am CT

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (elbow/ankle/shoulder) threw a 25-pitch bullpen on Sunday. Everything came out well physically. He said the time off after getting hit in the elbow was a "blessing in disguise" that allowed him to clean some things up mechanically. The metrics on his stuff today were where he wanted them to be, Jack Stern, beat writer for the Brewers, reports. This is fantastic news for the Brewers and fantasy managers who own Woodruff stock. Woodruff was slated to return to MLB action before taking a line drive in a rehab outing, which set him back a few weeks. Woodruff has dealt with injuries and has not pitched since 2023, but when he was healthy, he was a high-end starting pitcher in fantasy baseball, evidenced by his career 3.10 ERA in 680 innings pitched. Fantasy managers will want to continue stashing him on their IL, as he offers a ton of upside once activated.

Bryce Harper Mon Jun 16 8:40am CT

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (wrist) took ground balls at first base on June 13. Range of motion in his wrist was "almost" back to normal as of June 15. Still no timetable for when Harper will try to swing or throw, as it depends on when he is pain-free, MLB.com reports. This is positive news for Harper's fantasy managers as he has been shut down from all baseball activities since he landed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 6) with right wrist inflammation. Considering it has been 10 days since the injury and he has yet to resume throwing or swinging, it's likely we are looking at a few more weeks before we see Harper back in action. While Harper has been out, Otto Kemp has been seeing more playing time and is hitting .345 in 29 at-bats. Before the injury, Harper was slashing .258/.368/.446 with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs, and eight steals in 213 at-bats.

    From RotoBaller

Ezequiel Tovar Mon Jun 16 8:30am CT

Ezequiel Tovar (oblique) upped his activity to jogging and enthusiastically claimed, "I feel real good." Still, obliques are tricky, so he and the Rockies aren't rushing things, according to the Colorado Rockies. This is a decent step in the right direction for Tovar, as any increase in activity is usually correlated with feeling better and heading in the right direction. The Rockies have yet to give a firm timetable for his return. Still, suppose he can continue to increase his activities and start hitting and fielding in a week or two. If that's the case, we may have more clarity in the coming weeks. Tovar landed on the IL (retroactive to June 3) due to this injury. Ryan Ritter and Orlando Arcia have been filling in at shortstop for the time being.

Braxton Fulford Mon Jun 16 6:40am CT

Colorado Rockies catcher Braxton Fulford had a huge day in a 10-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. Fulford went 2-for-2 with a triple, a walk, a run, and five RBI to help down Atlanta. The rookie backstop knocked in three runs with a bases-loaded triple in the eighth inning, giving the Rockies their last runs of the ballgame. Fulford has just 18 at-bats this season, but he already has one homer and one triple. He is worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues in case he can stay productive at the plate.

Dane Myers Mon Jun 16 6:40am CT

Miami Marlins outfielder Dane Myers had a multi-hit game in his team's 3-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Myers went 3-for-4 with a solo homer off Nationals ace MacKenzie Gore to help down Washington. The veteran outfielder put Miami up 2-1 with his solo shot in the second inning, giving him four homers on the season. Overall, Myers is hitting .333 with 16 runs, 18 RBI, and eight stolen bases across 129 at-bats for the Marlins. With 13 steals across 110 games in his career, Myers is on the radar in deep fantasy leagues as a potential source for stolen bases.

Alec Bohm Mon Jun 16 6:30am CT

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm had a big day in an 11-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. Bohm went 2-for-3 with a homer, two walks, two runs, and three RBI in the win. The veteran infielder ripped a two-run homer in the fifth inning to give the Phillies a 6-2 lead. Bohm is now hitting .283 with seven homers, 29 runs, 31 RBI, and two steals across 265 at-bats on the season. He is in the midst of a hot streak, batting .357 with two homers and nine RBI over his past seven games. Bohm should be finding his way into starting lineups in fantasy while he's hot at the plate.

Zack Wheeler Mon Jun 16 6:30am CT

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler picked up a quality start in an 11-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. Wheeler allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits over six innings of work while striking out nine to improve his record to 7-2 on the season. The veteran ace is putting together another strong season, posting a 2.76 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 110 strikeouts over 88 innings of work spanning 14 starts. Wheeler will look to keep it going in his next start, which will be against the New York Mets on Friday.

    From RotoBaller

Brandon Walter Mon Jun 16 6:20am CT

Houston Astros left-hander Brandon Walter turned in an impressive start in his team's 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins in 10 innings on Sunday. Walter allowed one run on six hits over 6 2/3 innings of work while striking out nine and walking none but he had to settle for a no-decision in the extra-inning game. The southpaw recorded an excellent 17 swinging strikes in the start. Walter now has a 1.53 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts over 17 2/3 innings of work spanning three starts and is a priority waiver add in all leagues this week.

Otto Kemp Mon Jun 16 6:20am CT

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Otto Kemp had a big day in an 11-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. Kemp went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and a stolen base to help propel Philadelphia to the win. The rookie has been filling in at first base while Bryce Harper is dealing with a wrist injury and has looked good, hitting .345 with five runs, four RBI, and a steal across 29 at-bats. He is worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues while Harper is sidelined.

    From RotoBaller

Junior Caminero Mon Jun 16 6:10am CT

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero had a big afternoon in a 9-0 win over the New York Mets on Sunday. Caminero went 1-for-3 with a homer, two walks, three runs, and three RBI to help power the Rays to the win. The young infielder launched a three-run homer in the ninth inning off Mets reliever Ryne Stanek to give the Rays their final runs of the game. Caminero is posting impressive numbers in his second big-league season, hitting .246 with 17 homers, 41 runs, 45 RBI, and five steals across 260 at-bats. He has worked his way into the conversation as an everyday starter in most fantasy leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Shane Baz Mon Jun 16 6:10am CT

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Shane Baz turned in a quality start while earning the win in a 9-0 victory over the New York Mets on Sunday. Baz tossed 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball while scattering three hits and striking out six. He was a little wild as he walked four batters while throwing just 60 of 106 pitches for strikes, but he was able to prevent those free passes from coming around to hurt him in the shutout. Baz now has a 6-3 record, 4.54 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts over 77 1/3 innings of work on the season. He will look to build upon that strong start in his next outing, which will be against the Detroit Tigers on Friday.

    From RotoBaller

Andy Pages Mon Jun 16 6:00am CT

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages had a big night in his team's 5-4 win over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. Pages went 1-for-3 with a homer and four RBI to help lead the Dodgers to the win. The veteran outfielder put the Dodgers up 5-3 with his three-run homer in the fifth inning. Pages is in the midst of a breakout season, hitting .281 with 13 homers, 33 runs, 46 RBI, and six steals across 256 at-bats. He has worked his way into the conversation as a starting-caliber fantasy outfielder in all formats.
