Kyle Teel Thu Jun 5 1:50pm CT

ChicagoWhite Sox catchingprospect Kyle Teel went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored on Wednesday for Triple-A Charlotte. The performance lifted his season-long slash line to .295/.394/.492 to go along with eight home runs, 30 RBI, 34 runs scored, and seven steals. Not to be forgotten in all of the offense, the 23-year-old backstop also threw out a runner, namely Justin Crawford, who has the third-most steals (22) in the International League. The former first-rounder continues to build his resume for a promotion to the majors, and getting practice reps at first base recently only makes his case more formidable. Look for Chicago's second-ranked prospect to be in the majors by midseason, and with the prospect of first base eligibility down the line, his fantasy appeal keeps growing.

Walker Jenkins Thu Jun 5 1:30pm CT

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins has had his rehab assignmentmoved to Single-A Fort Myers. The Twins' top prospect (MLB No. 6) played one game for the FCL Twins before being reassigned, going 0-for-1 with two walks and was caught stealing once in the contest. The 20-year-old injured his ankle after just two games this season, but has finally returned and should eventuallylandback at Double-A Wichita, where he began the year. With a strong performance, he should see some time at Triple-A later in the season.

David Festa Thu Jun 5 1:00pm CT

Minnesota Twins right-hander David Festa has been recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to make the start in Thursday's series finale in Sacramento against the Athletics, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. And with right-hander Pablo Lopez (shoulder) expected to miss eight to 12 weeks, Festa will now have the opportunity to stick in the big-league starting rotation for a while if he pitches well. Fantasy managers searching for rotation help in deeper leagues should run to the waiver wire and add the 25-year-old, who had 15 strikeouts and a 1.38 ERA in 13 innings over his first three starts for the Twins in 2025. He was sent down to the minors to try and get more comfortable adding a sinker to his arsenal. Since returning from biceps/shoulder inflammation on May 23, Festa had 12 K's and allowed an earned run in 8 2/3 innings.

Carlos Correa Thu Jun 5 12:40pm CT

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (back) is taking another day off on Thursday in the series finale in Sacramento against the hosting Athletics, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. Correa has been slipping in the batter's box at Sutter Health Park and feels that his back is overcompensating. "We're taking the smart option of taking these two days (off) so I can go back home and play at home. I'm not going to be slipping at the plate," Correa said. It sounds like 30-year-old veteran is hoping that he can return for this weekend's series at home against the Toronto Blue Jays, but fantasy managers will need to check back on Friday. Brooks Lee is starting at the 6 again on Thursday and will hit eighth against A's right-hander Mitch Spence. Lee will have minimal DFS upside in the eight-hole, but he's also in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak in which he's gone 9-for-30 (.300) with a double and four RBI.

    J.T. Realmuto Thu Jun 5 12:30pm CT

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (groin) is absent from the team's starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Center. Rafael Marchan is behind the plate to catch left-hander Jesus Luzardo and will bat ninth against Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. Realmuto took a foul ball to his groin in the ninth inning in Wednesday's loss in Toronto and was removed from the game. The 34-year-old is hopeful that he'll miss just one start, so fantasy managers should be getting the veteran catcher back for Friday's series opener in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. He'll be available only in an emergency situation on Thursday. The three-time All-Star has shown his age so far in 2025 and is hitting just .226 (43-for-190) with five home runs, 22 RBI, 18 runs and four stolen bases, although he does have three hits in 10 at-bats in his first three games in the month of June.

Kerry Carpenter Thu Jun 5 12:20pm CT

Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the division-rival Chicago White Sox, serving as the designated hitter and batting third against White Sox right-hander Sean Burke. Carpenter returns quickly to the lineup after being scratched from Wednesday's game with a right-hamstring injury that turned out to be minor. The 27-year-old appeared as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday and is now back in the starting nine as the DH. Fantasy managers will want to get him back into their starting lineups. The former 19th-round selection has been injury-prone and has played in over 100 games in one of his first three seasons, but he's been productive when on the field this year with a .272 average (56-for-206) with 13 homers, 27 RBI and 35 runs scored. He's hitless in just one career at-bat against Burke.

Andres Gimenez Thu Jun 5 12:10pm CT

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez will not be in Thursday's lineup for their home outing against the Philadelphia Phillies. It's just a day of rest for the 26-year-old, who had started the previous two contests after returning from a near-month-long stay on the injured list due to a quadriceps strain. Teammate Davis Schneider is manning second base and batting sixth in his absence. Gimenez hasn't been very good this season -- batting an ugly .201 (27-for-134) in 38 contests -- but he appeared to be heating up before his trip to the injured list with a hit in five straight games. Furthermore, he hasn't struck out in eight consecutive appearances. He's likely to be back in the starting nine for their series opener against the Minnesota Twins on Friday.

Luis Robert Thu Jun 5 12:10pm CT

Updating a previous report, Chicago White Sox manager Will Venable said that outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (head) had a ball deflect off his head during batting practice, which is why he's resting as a precaution on Thursday against the division-rival Detroit Tigers. Robert will be back in the lineup for Friday's series opener versus the division-rival Kansas City Royals. Michael Taylor is in center field again and is hitting eighth on Thursday against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Robert received a mental break and didn't play on Tuesday or Wednesday, so he'll be out for a third straight game due to his minor head injury. The 27-year-old Cuban slugger still leads the league with 21 steals, but he's slashing .177/.266/.286 on the year with five homers and 20 RBI in 55 games. His .230 xBA gives hope to fantasy managers that better times are coming eventually.

Luis Robert Thu Jun 5 12:00pm CT

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. is out of the team's lineup for their series finale against the visiting Detroit Tigers. Michael A. Taylor is again holding down center field and batting eighth. On Tuesday, White Sox manager Will Venable reported that the Cuban native would not start for a few days as he worked through some mechanical issues. Robert Jr. is amid a brutal 1-for-20 stretch over his last seven games -- with ten strikeouts -- and is slashing a dismal .177/.266/.286 through 55 appearances on the season. Despite the slump, he's second in the MLB with 21 steals and holds a .231 xBA. Though it's been bad, it appears much worse on the surface. It's worth mentioning that Venable noted Robert Jr. has been dealing with some knee soreness, but he doesn't think it has been limiting him in any way.

Riley Greene Thu Jun 5 11:40am CT

Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene will not be in Thursday's lineup for their series finale with the Chicago White Sox. It's a regular (sparse) day off for the former first-round pick, who has started all but two games thus far in 2025. Teammate Zach McKinstry is manning left field and batting sixth in his stead. Greene has recorded a hit in four straight games with three multi-hit outings in that stretch. He's taken a step back this season regarding his plate discipline, but has also slashed a crisp .283/.336/.506 with 13 home runs, 14 doubles, 42 RBI, and 32 runs scored. The 24-year-old stands an excellent chance to eclipse the personal-best mark of 24 homers he set a year ago.

    From RotoBaller

Jason Foley Thu Jun 5 11:20am CT

Per the team, the Detroit Tigers have recalled reliever Jason Foley (shoulder) and placed him on the 60-day injured list. The 29-year-old recently underwent season-ending shoulder surgery. It's a procedural move for Detroit, as Foley had been an occupant on the Triple-A injured list since straining his shoulder in mid-April. The shuffling cleared a spot on the 40-man roster for Sawyer Gipson-Long, who returned from injury on Wednesday and tossed 3 2/3 innings of three-run ball. Expect Foley back sometime around the mid-way point of 2026 as he looks to return to form.

Lane Thomas Thu Jun 5 8:10am CT

Cleveland Guardians outfielder Lane Thomas (foot) has resumed running after being shut down and placed on the Injured List last Friday due to right plantar fasciitis. Thomas is still day-to-day, according to manager Stephen Vogt, but has had some good days lately that could indicate that an extended absence isn't needed. Thomas has been dealing with the issue throughout the season and has only hit .119 (7-for-59) in his 17 games, with a double, three walks, and a stolen base. He missed more than a month with a bone bruise in his right wrist, and now he's been sidelined by a different issue. Last year, Thomas showed some fantasy value, hitting .237 but adding 15 homers and 32 stolen bases while splitting time with the Nationals and Guardians. If he is healthy, he'll be worth a look in standard leagues, but he's had a rough road so far this season due to injuries.

Luis Garcia Thu Jun 5 8:00am CT

Houston Astros starting pitchers Luis Garcia (elbow) and Cristian Javier (elbow) continue to progress in their return from Tommy John surgery, but each is still just throwing bullpen sessions and not ready to progress to live batting practice. Each pitcher is hoping to work towards a late-July or early-August return to the rotation, although they still have several steps before a firm timetable can be established. Since they have been out for a year, they will likely need long rehab stints to ramp up before they can offer any help to Houston's rotation or your fantasy team. Neither needs to be stashed at this point, but it's worth keeping an eye on them as they continue to progress in their recovery.

Collin Snider Thu Jun 5 7:50am CT

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Collin Snider (forearm) was placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with a right forearm flexor strain. He made 24 appearances out of the bullpen for Seattle this season but posted a 5.47 ERA and 3.64 FIP in his 26 1/3 innings with four holds and no saves. Snider picked up a win with two shutout innings last Saturday against the Twins but was knocked around by the Orioles and Nationals in his two other outings over the last week. There is no word that he's facing a major issue, so he'll likely be back in a couple of weeks to rejoin the bullpen for the Mariners. To fill his roster spot, the team recalled Casey Legumina, who is 4-3 with a 4.35 ERA in 21 games for Seattle this season and did not appear in the minors after being optioned last Saturday.

    From RotoBaller

Kyle Harrison Thu Jun 5 7:40am CT

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kyle Harrison gave up five runs on nine hits in just 4 1/3 innings against the Padres on Wednesday, but his team rallied and won, earning him a no-decision. In the fifth inning, he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Gavin Sheets and immediately left the game. The Giants said that Harrison is dealing with just a bruise, though, which could mean he'll be ready to go for his next start. If he keeps his current spot in the rotation, he will face the Rockies next Tuesday at Coors Field, but keep an eye on the situation to see if the Giants try to get him some extra recovery time after sustaining the bruise. It wasn't a great outing for Harrison before the injury, but the 23-year-old had shown good upside since moving to the rotation a few games ago.

    From RotoBaller

Xander Bogaerts Thu Jun 5 7:40am CT

San Diego Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) left the Padres' loss on Wednesday night in San Francisco in the sixth inning, and he is dealing with soreness in his left shoulder, according to Padres manager Mike Shildt. It's the same shoulder that Bogaerts fractured last season, and he said after the game that it has been bothering him for "a couple of days," especially when he is batting. Bogaerts is hitting just .238 this season with three homers, 11 stolen bases, and a .289 wOBA. He is just 3-for-21 (.143) over his last six games. The team may try to get him a few days off for the soreness to clear up. If he is out, Jose Iglesias would likely get most of the work at shortstop. The Padres finish their series against the Giants on Thursday afternoon and then head to Milwaukee for the weekend.

    J.P. France Thu Jun 5 7:20am CT

Houston Astros starting pitcher J.P. France (shoulder) has been sidelined since last July, when he had surgery to repair a capsule tear in his right shoulder. He has worked his way up to throwing live batting practice this Friday in West Palm Beach, according to manager Joe Espada. The 30-year-old righty could then head out on a rehab assignment to ramp up with the target to join Houston's rotation after the All-Star break. France went 0-3 in his five starts last season with a 7.46 ERA and 5.53 FIP, but he was much better in 24 games in 2023, when he went 11-5 with a 3.83 ERA and 4.66 FIP as a key part of the rotation. He has never been a high-strikeout producer at the major league level, but he's worth keeping an eye on for your fantasy team in the future since he could be a nice depth pickup if he comes back at full strength.

    From RotoBaller

Merrill Kelly Thu Jun 5 6:50am CT

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly notched a quality start in his team's 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. Kelly tossed seven shutout innings of one-hit ball while striking out eight and walking one to earn the win. The veteran improved his record to 6-2, to go along with a 3.43 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts over 76 innings of work. Kelly will look to stay hot in his next start, which is scheduled to come on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners. He will be worth keeping active in fantasy starting lineups for that upcoming start.

    From RotoBaller

Logan Gilbert Thu Jun 5 6:30am CT

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert (elbow) was able to throw 60 pitches in his second rehab outing on Wednesday evening with Triple-A Tacoma. In this start, the right-hander logged three innings of two-run ball with five hits and a walk. He struck out two. In this outing, Gilbert's velocity steadily declined as he progressed through the game. In his first start with Triple-A Tacoma, Gilbert logged just 1 2/3 innings of work and held a 3:2 K:BB. The 28-year-old is still working his way back from a right elbow flexor strain that has kept him on the injured list since April 26. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as Gilbert may be cleared to rejoin Seattle in the coming days. Before his injury, the 28-year-old was enjoying an impressive start to the season, logging 30 1/3 innings to the tune of a 2.37 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP. When he is cleared to return, he will carry high-end SP1 upside in all leagues. Emerson Hancock will likely shift to the bullpen or be optioned to Triple-A when Gilbert returns.

    From RotoBaller

Daz Cameron Thu Jun 5 6:20am CT

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Daz Cameron turned in a great game in his team's 9-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. Cameron went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to help power his team to the lopsided victory. The veteran outfielder hit a two-run bomb in the sixth inning, a shot that traveled 437 feet with an exit velocity of 108.2 MPH. Cameron has seen just 35 at-bats this season after opening the year in Triple-A, hitting .200 with one homer, seven runs, three RBI, and a stolen base. He will hope Wednesday's performance leads to more playing time in the future.
