Ryan Yarbrough Sun Jun 22 10:00am CT

New York Yankees left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (oblique) was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right oblique strain. In a corresponding move, the Yankees promoted left-handed pitcher Jayvien Sandridge from Triple-A. Outside of an eight-run outing on June 7, Yarbrough has been an effective spot-starter and long relief option for the Yankees. Across 55 1/3 total innings of work, the southpaw has posted a 3.90 ERA with a strong 1.17 WHIP. During this stretch, Yarbrough has struck out 49 batters and posted an elite 7.5% walk rate. Yarbrough has also generated hard-hits at an impressive 32.2% rate and barrels at a 5.1% rate. While Yarbrough remains out of action, fantasy managers should expect Allan Winans to replace Yarbrough in the rotation on Monday when they begin a series against the Reds.

Luis Ortiz Sun Jun 22 8:10am CT

Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Luis L. Ortiz posted a strong bounce back outing versus the Athletics on Saturday. Ortiz gave up six runs during his last outing, but looked untouchable here. He tossed six scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while striking out 10 batters in the win. The 10 strikeouts tied a season-high for Ortiz as the A's hitters had no answers in this one. Ortiz has been inconsistent this season, which makes him a tough player to roster in fantasy formats. He could have decent streaming value for his next outing against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Manuel Rodriguez Sun Jun 22 8:10am CT

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez (hip) began a rehab assignment with the team's Florida Complex League affiliate on Saturday. The left-handed slugger went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI single, and a run scored in the contest, which was his first game action since May 30. The Twins' second-ranked prospect had been on the injured list with a hip injury, which is one of a multitude of injuries that have afflicted him and caused him to miss significant chunks of time over the last few seasons. The 22-year-old has 60-grade power and owns an elite 21.7 percent walk rate over the course of his minor league career, however, he's a .248 hitter with a 30.5 percent strikeout rate as well. If he can remain healthy and make some modest improvements on offense, there's still a chance the 5-foot-11 Dominican could still get the call to the big leagues later this year, although he's not a stash candidate at this time.

Luis Garcia Sun Jun 22 8:00am CT

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Luis Garcia (groin) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho on Sunday. He appears to have progressed enough to throw some rehab outings, so he should return soon. Garcia has been sidelined since early June due to a right groin strain. If everything goes well, Garcia should be able to return to the big league club by July. Before going down, Garcia posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, and 23/15 K/BB in 26 innings of work. He isn't someone that needs to be rostered in fantasy formats right now.

Andrew Morris Sun Jun 22 8:00am CT

Minnesota Twins pitching prospect Andrew Morris has been placed on the minor league 7-day injured list due to a right forearm strain. The righty posted solid numbers in Minnesota's organization before this season, but has registered a 4.41 ERA, a gaudy 1.61 WHIP, and just a 12.8 percent K-BB% (8.53 K/9) in 13 starts (63 1/3 IP) at Triple-A St. Paul in 2025. Nevertheless, with some improved command like he'd shown prior to hitting Triple-A and dropping a 13.2 percent HR/FB rate to a more palatable level, the former fourth-rounder may have made his major league debut this season. That still may be the case if this injury turns out to be minor, but for now, those plans will have to be put on hold.

Shelby Miller Sun Jun 22 8:00am CT

Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Shelby Miller was handed the ball with a two-run lead versus the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. Miller did allow a hit, but he struck out three batters and earned his eighth save of the season. This is now back-to-back scoreless outings from Miller after he struggled earlier in the week. He appears to be the last reliever standing with Justin Martinez (elbow) and A.J. Puk (elbow) both sidelined. Miller has done a nice job with a 2.03 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 35/11 K/BB ratio across 31 innings of work. He's not an elite option, but Miller figures to be a decent source for saves in fantasy formats.

Ryan Borucki Sun Jun 22 7:50am CT

Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Ryan Borucki (back) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. Borucki made an early exit from Friday's contest after recording only one out. Now, he's set to miss a few weeks with lower back inflammation. Before going down, Borucki was struggling with a 5.26 ERA across 29 appearances with the Pirates. He isn't someone that is going to have value in fantasy formats right now. In a corresponding move, Hunter Stratton has been recalled to take over the spot in the bullpen.

Shea Langeliers Sun Jun 22 7:40am CT

Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers (oblique) was able to take part in batting practice ahead of Saturday's game. Langeliers looked good swinging the bat and was crushing the ball, so it sounds like he's making good progress. He's currently working his way back from an oblique injury that landed him on the 10-day injured list in early June. It's unclear if Langeliers is going to need a rehab assignment. Before going down, Langeliers was slashing .237/.300/.430 with 10 homers and 27 RBI this season. In the meantime, Austin Wynns and Willie Maclver will split up the duties behind the plate for the A's.

Chase Burns Sun Jun 22 7:40am CT

Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Chase Burns is expected to be called up from Triple-A Louisville and make his major league debut on Tuesday at home against the Yankees. Burns is the Reds' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 11) and was selected by the team in the 2024 Draft. The right-hander did not make his professional debut until this year, starting the season at High-A (three starts), then quickly progressing to Double-A (eight starts) and Triple-A (two starts) before getting the call to the majors. Over those three levels, the Wake Forest product recorded a phenomenal 1.77 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and struck out 89 batters to just 13 walks (31.4 percent K-BB%) over 66 innings pitched. The 22-year-old is a worthyaddition in deep and NL-only leagues, and the Yankees' hitters have the sixth-highest strikeouts per game average in all of baseball (8.82). However, they also have the second-highest ISO and third-highest wRC+ against RHP this season, so caution is warranted in DFS, especially given that Great American Ball Park is one of the most hitter-friendly environments around.

Bryce Harper Sun Jun 22 7:30am CT

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (hand) progressed to throwing soft toss this weekend. Harper has been slowly ramping up his activities, but appears to still have quite a while to go before returning to the Phillies lineup. He continues to work his way back from right wrist inflammation that has sidelined him since early June. The Phillies haven't given a timetable on his return yet. That being said, it's unclear if Harper will need a minor league rehab assignment or not. For now, Otto Kemp and Alec Bohm figure to continue splitting up the time at first base.
