Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Jordan Lawlar has hit a bit of a slump at Triple-A. After riding an incredible 12-game hitting streak, the top prospect in the desert has gone 0-for-9 over his last two contests. During this slump, Lawlar has struck out once and has not drawn a walk. However, during his 12-game hitting streak, Lawlar was one of the most productive hitters in professional baseball as he held a .510/.576/.922 slash line with eight doubles, three home runs, and eight stolen bases. Through his first 31 games of the Triple-A regular season, the former sixth overall pick has held an impressive .357/.441/.643 slash line with 14 doubles and six home runs. Fantasy managers should continue to view Lawlar as a high-end priority stash option, as he should be in the mix to return to the major leagues in the coming weeks. When he does get the call, he will carry five-category upside.

Tampa Bay Rays left-handed pitching prospect Ian Seymour struck out eight batters across five innings of two-run ball in his start on Sunday against Triple-A Jacksonville. In this outing, Seymour allowed just two hits, two runs (zero earned), and did not allow a free pass. This was the fourth time this season that the southpaw struck out at least eight batters in a given start. The Virginia Tech product has enjoyed an impressive start to the Triple-A regular season and is knocking on the MLB door. Through his first 36 1/3 innings of work, Seymour has struck out 46 batters, allowed just eight walks, and posted a strong 1.73 ERA with a 0.99 WHIP. Last summer at Triple-A, Seymour posted a 2.33 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP across 54 innings. Given his current production, he is worth stashing in deeper 12+ team formats due to his strikeout potential.

Kansas City Royals first base prospect Jac Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a home run during their contest against Double-A Springfield. This was Caglianone's second-straight game going deep. Over his last nine contests, Caglianone has only gone hitless in one game. During this impressive stretch, the top prospect in Kansas City has held a .375/.459/.625 slash line with two doubles, two home runs, and eight RBI. Through his first 27 games at the Double-A level, last year's sixth overall pick has held his own, holding a .314/.395/.543 slash line with six doubles and six round-trippers. After being selected in the draft last season, Caglianone spent time at High-A. Seeing him steadily progress, he should be in the mix to reach the major leagues later this season.

St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Michael McGreevy was sharp in his 2025 MLB debut on Sunday evening. McGreevey was promoted to make a spot start for the Cardinals during a doubleheader on Sunday. In this outing, McGreevy tossed five 2/3 innings of one-hit ball against the New York Mets. He held a 5:1 K:BB and did not allow a run. McGreevy made his MLB debut last summer and performed quite well over his first taste of the majors as well, holding a 1.96 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP across 23 innings of work. However, during this stint, he struck out just 18 batters. Earlier this season, the No. 11-ranked prospect in the Cardinals system posted a 4.08 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP across 28 2/3 innings of work. Given his strong showing on Sunday, McGreevy may be given the opportunity to stay in St. Louis for the time being.

The New York Mets are promoting right-handed pitching prospect Blade Tidwell to the major league roster. Mike Mayer of Metsmerized noted that manager Carlos Mendoza discussed the possibility of using a spot starter over the weekend. Tidwell has spent the start of the campaign with Triple-A Syracuse. Through his first 27 frames of work, the right-hander has struck out 37 batters and held a 5.00 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP. In 2024, the Tennessee product made his Triple-A debut and held an underwhelming 5.93 ERA with a 1.56 WHIP across 85 innings of work. Across this stint, the No. 16-ranked prospect in the system struck out 77 batters. Given his increasing strikeout potential, Tidwell could be worth a look as a streaming option in deeper formats if he is given a start.

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Jalen Beeks allowed two hits and no earned runs in one inning on Sunday, earning his first save of the season in his team's 11-9 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Beeks entered in the bottom of the tenth inning to protect a three-run lead and promptly allowed a single to Weston Wilson, who advanced Bryson Stott to third. A Max Kepler sac fly then drove in Stott a batter later. Trea Turner singled to left after that, but the 31-year-old would get Bryce Harper to fly out and Kyle Schwarber to ground out to end the threat. It wasn't efficient (20 pitches, 13 strikes), but he got the job done. Beeks has yet to allow an earned run since the Braves hung three on him ten days ago (three appearances), and he's down to a 1.93 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 18.2 innings. While the strikeouts haven't been there recently, the Arkansas alum has five holds and should be good for the occasional win and save.

Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo went 4-for-5 in Sunday's 11-9 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The 25-year-old singled and doubled twice, scoring two runs, swiping two bags, and driving in three runs. He even added a walk for good measure, reaching base a superb five times in the electric outing. Perdomo has been incredible in 2025, slashing .292/.400/.475 with five home runs, nine steals, seven doubles, and more walks (24) than strikeouts (17). Furthermore, he's scored 18 runs and knocked in 29 RBI despite primarily hitting near the top of the order -- placing him sixth amongst all batters in the MLB. After a brief cold spell, the Dominican Republic native has registered a hit in six of seven appearances, batting .440 (11-for-25) with three multi-hit efforts.

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Smith went 4-for-5 with three singles and a triple in his team's 8-1 victory over the Mariners on Sunday. He added two runs scored and an RBI. Smith tormented the Mariners all game long, as the only time they could keep him off the bases was when he flied out to shortstop during the bottom of the sixth inning. He's been excellent thus far for the Rangers, batting a strong .311 (28-for-90) with an .864 OPS to go along with 16 runs scored, three home runs, four steals, and eight RBI. Not much has changed for the Louisiana State product regarding his batted ball metrics, but he's pulling the ball 10% less of the time compared to the prior two seasons and has dropped his average launch angle (7.1 degrees). A .269 xBA suggests his average could come down slightly, but his BABIP figure (.339) looks closer to what it did when he raked in the minors.

Houston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The former No. 41 overall pick allowed three hits, struck out four, issued three free passes, and hit one batter over 3.2 innings (87 pitches, 51 strikes). McCullers Jr. had a clean third inning where he retired the side in order, though he otherwise had runners crowding the base paths. Fortunately, he escaped trouble until he was pulled in the fourth. It wasn't a very efficient outing, but overall solid considering the last time he pitched in live action was the 2022 World Series. The 31-year-old touched 93.8 MPH with his sinker on a few occasions and picked up the second-most swings-and-misses of all pitchers in the contest (six). If the Astros stick to a five-man rotation, McCullers Jr. would pitch again next weekend against the Cincinnati Reds, though that isn't a guarantee.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom recorded his 1700th strikeout in his 225th career game, making him the quickest ever to accomplish the feat. It came as part of an 8-1 win over the Mariners on Sunday, where deGrom allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings. The fact that he is the fastest ever to 1700 strikeouts makes the imagination wonder where deGrom would stand in the history books if he hadn't missed significant time with injuries in the past four straight seasons, but the good news is that he is finally healthy again now. He hasn't looked quite as dominant as we're used to seeing, striking out just 36 batters in 38 innings so far this year, but he still holds an excellent 2.61 ERA.

Washington Nationals second baseman Luis Garcia Jr. hit a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Reds, his third of the season. The 24-year-old got off to a slow start to the season but has started to turn things around recently, collecting two home runs and three multi-hit games in his last nine games played. His slash line still looks disappointing at .234/.282/.360, but he has delivered a useful power and speed combination with three home runs and six stolen bases.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Chandler Simpson went 2-for-5 with two runs, one RBI, and one stolen base in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Yankees. The rookie has been as advertised through his first 14 games in the big leagues, batting .296 with six stolen bases. He has just one extra-base hit, a double, but power has never been a part of his game. Simpson should be rostered in all roto leagues, serving as a stolen base and batting average specialist who should score a lot of runs batting leadoff for the Rays.

Cleveland Guardians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase secured his seventh save of the season on Sunday in a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays. He allowed one unearned run on one hit and struck out one. He's rebounded nicely over the past week after struggling throughout the month of April, collecting three saves while allowing one earned run in four innings. He still isn't the lights-out version of himself that everyone is used to seeing, but he still has the upside to be the best closer in baseball if he can continue to get back on track.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter had a huge day at the plate in a 13-1 win over the Angels, going 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, one run, and five RBI. This was his fourth game with three hits or more, and he is now slashing .295/.316/.554 with eight home runs, 19 RBI, and 17 runs through 32 games. The slugger has even earned himself some playing time against lefties this season, batting .250 against them in 25 plate appearances. He is in a great spot at the top of Detroit's lineup and should be universally rostered by this point in fantasy.

St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn (ankle) left the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with a left ankle sprain. He suffered the injury in the third inning when he tripped rounding third base, and was later pulled from the game before the top of the fifth. The specifics of the severity of the injury are not yet known, but hopefully the shortstop won't need another trip to the injured list after already spending time there this season with back spasms. He was finally starting to come around in the recent weeks, batting .333 with two home runs and two steals since April 22.

San Diego Padres infielder Xander Bogaerts is off to a slow start this season, but he put together a nice game on Sunday. Bogaerts opened up the scoring in the first inning with a RBI single. He would drive in two more runs with a double in the second frame. This was a surprising productive day from Bogaerts who has been in a bad slump recently. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI, a stolen base, and a walk in the win. Despite the slow start, Bogaerts has a good enough track record to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.

Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Jhoan Duran was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. The right-hander gave up a two-out single, but ended up striking out Jarren Duran to earn his fourth save of the season. Duran has recorded saves in back-to-back games, but he has been pretty quiet before that. To be fair, it's not really his fault as the Twins aren't winning too many games to give Duran save chances. The right-hander is one of the better relief pitchers in the league as seen by his 1.17 ERA on the season. Despite the lack of chances, Duran needs to be rostered in most fantasy formats.
