What was I thinking? I'm thinking that I'm noticing a slight turn in the league's power structure!! I'm sensing that Costanza's Yankees is about to rocket to the top of the league standings!! I can somehow sense the slightest bit of human suffering and I'm feeling that The Funny Bunch is about to suffer an unheard of and dramatic drop in the league standings and The White Sucklers will crumble as well!! I'm back....baby!!!!

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays (foot) will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday with Double-A Chattanooga, reports Gordon Wittenmyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer. The plan is for him to be re-evaluated on Thursday with the potential to be activated on Friday. The 29-year-old has struggled to stay healthy this season, with his most recent IL-stint beginning on May 30 with a bone bruise in his foot. The Reds' newcomer has been great when healthy, batting .303 with six home runs in 31 games, so he's someone to target in five-outfielder leagues if you need the help.

Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya (oblique) has begun hitting and throwing and is targeting a return date around the All-Star break, reports Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network. The 26-year-old has been on the injured list since May 24 with a strained left oblique, which is typically a tricky injury to come back from. The fact that he's throwing and hitting without issue is a good sign, and he could be on the verge of a rehab assignment within the next couple of weeks. There was a brief time at the beginning of the season when he looked like the go-to option behind the dish for the Cubs, but Carson Kelly's offensive success relegated Amaya to playing every other day, at most.

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez (hand) was pulled early from Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox in the bottom of the first inning after being hit on his right hand by a 96 mph fastball from right-hander Shane Smith, according to SI.com's Jack Sommers. Suarez was in a great deal of pain and will be sent for X-rays to check for any breaks or fractures, so fantasy managers will want to check back later for any updates on his condition. He was replaced at third by Ildemaro Vargas. Losing the 33-year-old veteran right-handed slugger for any amount of time would be a big blow to the D-backs and fantasy managers, as Suarez came into Monday's action ranked fourth in baseball with 25 home runs. He's also hitting .251/.321/.569 with an .890 OPS, 67 RBI, 48 runs scored and a steal in 2025. If Suarez goes on the injured list, Jordan Lawlar could rejoin the big-league roster.UPDATE: X-rays came back negative on Suarez's hand.

The New York Mets announced on Monday that they transferred outfielder Jose Siri (leg) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. The team also selected the contract of outfielder Travis Jankowski from Triple-A Syracuse after Sunday's game. Siri is dealing with a fractured left tibia and remains shut down from baseball activities, meaning he isn't particularly close to returning to the big-league roster. He won't be back before the mid-July All-Star break, and it's possible that his absence stretches into August. The 29-year-old Dominican outfielder had just one hit in 20 at-bats with an RBI, two steals and five runs scored before his injury. When Siri does return to the Mets, he's most likely to serve as a backup option and late-game defensive replacement in center field. Siri will be a bench option in NL-only leagues when he's fully healed.

New York Mets right-hander Kodai Senga (hamstring) was scheduled to play catch off a mound on Monday, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Senga has been able to keep his arm moving after suffering a Grade 1 right-hamstring strain on June 12 in his start against the Washington Nationals. Although the 32-year-old's hamstring strain is mild, the Mets aren't going to rush him back and he's not expected to rejoin the big-league starting rotation until after the mid-July All-Star break. Fantasy managers must remain patient until then and keep him stashed in an injured-list spot in all leagues. Senga made only one start in his second year in the big leagues in 2024 due to injury. He hasn't been able to avoid injury this year, either, but he's gone 7-3 with a strong 1.47 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 70 K's and 31 walks in 13 starts (73 2/3 innings) this year.
From RotoBaller
New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos (hamstring) is scheduled to play Tuesday and Wednesday on his minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Syracuse, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Barring a setback, the earliest Vientos will return to the Mets' big-league roster will be for this weekend's series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 25-year-old was hitting a disappointing .230 (43-for-187) with six home runs, 21 RBI and 22 runs scored before straining his right hamstring, and he's gone just 2-for-17 with a double through four rehab games with Syracuse. Although Ronny Mauricio hasn't exactly taken advantage of extra playing time at the hot corner in Queens with Vientos sidelined, the two could form a platoon at third for the Mets once Vientos returns if Vientos can't get going at the plate.

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (elbow) threw a 60-pitch simulated game on Monday, and his next step will be another minor-league rehab start of around 80 pitches, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Curt Hogg. The Brewers are still finalizing their plans, but after one more rehab start, the hope is that he'll be able to make his 2025 season debut. Woodruff threw a 40-pitch bullpen session last Thursday and is getting closer to his first MLB start following right-shoulder surgery that kept him out for all of 2024. The 32-year-old was close to rejoining the Brewers twice this year before dealing with right-ankle tendinitis and a right-elbow contusion after being hit by a comebacker. If Woodruff is somehow available in your fantasy league, pick him up immediately. He was a fantasy ace before shoulder surgery in October of 2023.

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola (ankle, rib) played catch in the cages on Saturday and Sunday, according to MLB.com. If Nola responds well, he could begin a throwing progression on the field this week. The Phillies moved Nola to the 60-day injured list last Thursday, so he won't be eligible to return to the team's starting rotation until after the mid-July All-Star break. The 32-year-old veteran initially landed on the 15-day IL back on May 16 with a right-ankle sprain, but now he's working his way back from a stress fracture in his right rib. It's been a disappointing 2025 campaign for Nola, as he's gone 1-7 with a bloated 6.16 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with 52 strikeouts in 49 2/3 innings over his nine starts. The writing may have been on the wall with last year's 8.9 K/9 mark (lowest since his rookie year) and the fact he allowed 30-plus homers for a second straight season.
From RotoBaller
Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis (shoulder) received a cortisone shot in his right shoulder last week and was shut down from throwing through the weekend, according to MLB.com. Francis landed on the 15-day injured list last Tuesday with a right-shoulder impingement and is unlikely to return until after the mid-July All-Star break since he has yet to resume throwing. When the 29-year-old does return from the IL, he will be far from a lock to regain a starting-rotation role after going 2-8 with a 6.05 ERA (6.79 FIP) and 1.53 WHIP with 54 strikeouts and 27 walks in 64 innings over his 14 starts. Francis was pretty nasty late last year after adding a splitter to his arsenal, but it appears the rest of the league has figured him out somewhat through the first half in 2025.
From RotoBaller
Toronto Blue Jays right-handed reliever Yimi Garcia (shoulder) is expected to start a minor-league rehab assignment and pitch in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Monday, according to MLB.com. Garcia went on the 15-day injured list on May 24 with a right-shoulder impingement, but he's getting close to returning to Toronto's bullpen and could be back in the big leagues by late June. If Garcia is able to avoid setbacks with his shoulder this week, he could come off the IL by later this week or this weekend. When he's back in the big leagues, the 34-year-old Dominican reliever should be a key late-inning, high-leverage bullpen arm for the Jays while also seeing an occasional save chance. Before getting hurt, Garcia had a 3.15 ERA (2.97 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves, 24 strikeouts and 10 walks in 20 innings pitched. He's definitely valuable in holds leagues when healthy.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga (hamstring) will come off the 15-day injured list and start on Thursday in the series finale against the division-rival Cardinals in St. Louis, according to manager Craig Counsell. Imanaga should be rostered in all fantasy leagues, but managers may want to play it safe and keep him on their benches in his first start back this week at Busch Stadium. The 31-year-old Japanese southpaw threw only 72 pitches over 4 1/3 innings in his final minor-league rehab start and hasn't pitched in a major-league game since straining his left hamstring back in early May. Imanaga was an All-Star in his rookie campaign in 2024 and had gone 3-2 with a 2.82 ERA (4.53 FIP) and 1.09 WHIP with 34 strikeouts and 14 walks in 44 2/3 innings over his eight starts this year before landing on the IL.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd (shoulder) is "all good" to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals after coming out of his last start with a bruised left shoulder, according to manager Craig Counsell. Boyd didn't have any issues during his between-starts bullpen session. The 34-year-old veteran southpaw was hit by a comebacker in his last start against the Seattle Mariners last Friday and allowed two earned runs while walking two and striking out six in five innings in a no-decision. Boyd has been a key rotation piece for the Cubbies so far in 2025 with a 6-3 record, 2.84 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 79:21 K:BB in 85 2/3 frames over his 15 starts. However, a 3.55 xERA and 3.65 FIP point to regression coming for the aging lefty that is only striking out 8.3 hitters per nine innings.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Chris Sale (ribs) is expected to pitch again this season, according to manager Brian Snitker. Sale was placed on the 15-day injured list on Saturday after suffering a ribcage fracture on Wednesday. There is no timetable for Sale's return as the team wants to wait and see how the injury heals. This is a tough spot for fantasy managers given the uncertainty of his return. Sale figures to miss more than the 15-day minimum. Fantasy managers should go ahead and hold Sale on their IL until the team offers more information.
From RotoBaller
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael McGreevy will be called up to take the ball versus the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, according to manager Oliver Marmol. McGreevy has earned himself an extended look after tossing five innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out five batters in a start against the Chicago White Sox. This is going to be a much more difficult matchup for McGreevy against a tough Cubs lineup. He has a 2.70 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 15/2 K/BB ratio across three starts this season. Despite recent success, McGreevy remains a risky streaming choice against the Cubs.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Angels infielder Kyren Paris was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. He'll take the spot of Kevin Newman who was placed on the paternity leave list. That means, Paris will take over the spot on the roster for a few days while Newmani is gone on paternity leave. Paris got off to an electric start to the season, but was optioned to the minors last month after a long slump. He's not in Monday's lineup, but will hopefully get in some action before Newman returns. Paris isn't someone that needs to be rostered with this likely being a short stint.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Cubs first baseman Michael Busch is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Busch only has four hits against left-handed pitching this season, so unsurprisingly he'll head to the bench. He's coming off a solid series against the Seattle Mariners where he recorded five hits, one home run, and five RBI over the three-game series. In his absence, Justin Turner will take over at first base and bat eighth versus left-hander Matthew Liberatore.
From RotoBaller
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This appears to be a routine rest day for Hoskins who has started the previous 14 games. Hoskins hasn't been a great fantasy option this season, but he has been hitting the ball better lately. He has five hits, two doubles, two home runs, and three RBI over his last four games. Hoskins is someone that should be at least rostered in deep leagues. In his absence, Jake Bauers will cover first base and bat eighth versus right-hander Braxton Ashcraft on Monday.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox. This is a routine rest day for O'Hoppe who has started each of the last two games. It's a bit surprising to see him resting after hitting three home runs and knocking in six runs over his last two games. The Angels should ride the hot bat while he's swinging it. The assumption is O'Hoppe will be back in the lineup following this contest. In the meantime, Travis d'Arnaud will cover behind the plate and bat fifth versus right-hander Walker Buehler on Monday.
From RotoBaller
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho (hamstring) ran the bases late last week and is expected to start a minor-league rehab assignment this week, according to MLB.com. Varsho went on the 10-day injured list on June 1 with a strained left hamstring, but barring a setback once he resumes playing in games, he could return to the Blue Jays' lineup by late June or early July. The 28-year-old center fielder resumed baseball activities on June 6. If he starts his rehab assignment early this week, he could rejoin the big-league roster by the weekend. When healthy, Varsho is Toronto's starting center fielder. He got a late start in 2025 while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, and although he's hit just .207 in 92 at-bats this year, he has also clubbed eight home runs and is a nice source of power for fantasy managers in mixed leagues.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) continues to sit out of the lineup for Monday's series opener in Chicago against the White Sox. Randal Grichuk is making another start in right field and will hit seventh against White Sox right-hander Shane Smith. Carroll is missing his fifth straight game on Monday with a bruised left hand. The 24-year-old is undergoing an MRI exam and could end up landing on the 10-day injured list if he cannot return to the field sooner than later. If he does land on the IL, fantasy managers should keep him stashed in all leagues as one of the best all-around contributors in the game. The former first-rounder is currently slashing .255/.341/.573 with a .914 OPS, 20 long balls, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 10 steals in 2025. Grichuk has actually fared better against righties on the year but still makes for a low-upside DFS streamer with only three homers on the year.
