San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. hit his 15th homer of the season on Monday night in a 10-6 loss to the Nationals. He finished the game 1-for-5 with three RBI after connecting on the three-run blast in the ninth inning off relief pitcher Zach Brzykcy. After a rough stretch in May, Tatis has started mashing again with a 63.2% hard-hit rate over his last 13 games while going 14-for-46 (.304) with a .415 wOBA. Of his 15 homers this season, 11 have come at Petco Park, where he has a .284 home batting average and a .396 home wOBA. Tatis and the Friars continue their homestand with two more games against the Nats before going on the road to Cincinnati and Philadelphia, two homer-friendly parks. If he keeps catching barrels, Tatis should remain an excellent fantasy option in all formats.

Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a stolen base against his former team, the Padres. He helped carry the Nats to a 10-6 win in the first game of his series back in San Diego. Abrams has been picking up his production lately with seven multi-hit performances in his last 14 games while going 21-for-57 (.368) with four doubles, three homers, five stolen bases, and a .450 wOBA. He is locked into the leadoff spot of a productive batting lineup and brings both power and speed potential in every matchup. The 24-year-old has actually been much better on the road than at home this year, which sets him up well for the rest of this series in San Diego and the Nats' upcoming weekend set in Anaheim against the Angels.

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood connected on his 22nd home run of the season on Monday night, as he powered his team to a win in San Diego. Wood's three-run blast in the eighth inning was the capstone to a great night at the plate, and he finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI. His home run provided Washington with some extra breathing room by expanding the lead to 9-3 at the time, and after a late comeback by the Padres, the Nats held on to win 10-6. The impressive 22-year-old lefty is hitting .284 this season and has 22 homers to go with 50 runs scored and 61 RBI. His 57.9% hard-hit rate and 19.6% barrel rate each rank in the top six of all eligible hitters in the majors, and he also has the seventh-highest average exit velocity. Wood has quickly become one of the top hitters in baseball, and it's amazing that he won't turn 23 until September. He's a top fantasy asset in all formats with a bright future and high ceiling.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. continues to make up for lost time after missing a year recovering from an ACL injury. On Monday night, he went 2-for-5 with a home run and a stolen base to help fuel his team's 3-2 victory over the Nets in New York. His home run came in the third off Mets' starter Paul Blackburn and increased the Braves' lead to 2-0 at the time. Acuna has nine homers, three stolen bases, a .396 batting average, and a .510 wOBA in his 28 games since returning from the injured list, and his presence at the top of the Braves' lineup has jump-started the offense. He's a top play in all formats, especially as he returns to being aggressive on the basepaths. His game on Monday showcased exactly the kind of dual-threat production fantasy managers dream of from a healthy Acuna.

Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman/outfielder Matt Gorski was transferred from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day injured list, meaning the 27-year-old will be out until after the All-Star break. There has been no news on exactly what injury Gorski is dealing with, but he won't be back in action for a while. Before the injury, the 27-year-old made some headlines early in the season when he made his debut with the Pirates and homered in his first at-bat. He hit .195 in his 15 games in the majors with two homers and a .259 wOBA. He was returned to Triple-A when Spencer Horwitz was able to return from his injury. Gorski played just four games and went 1-for-9 after heading back to Indianapolis before landing on the injured list. He could get another chance for the Pirates late in the season, depending on what exactly the injury is that he's battling.

The White Sox agreed to a minor-league deal with 32-year-old righty Noah Syndergaard. Syndergaard was an effective starter for the Mets early in his career but has not pitched in the majors since 2023, when he went 2-6 in 18 starts with the Guardians and Dodgers, compiling an ugly 6.50 ERA and 6.20 FIP while struggling with his control. He did manage four quality starts with some encouraging outings despite his inconsistency, but he was released by the Guardians towards the end of the 2023 season. Last November, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported that Syndergaard had dropped 30 pounds and was working on a comeback, but no team was known to have interest until this signing. Syndergaard still has a long way to go before he's back on a major league mound, but it will be a fun story to watch Thor attempt a comeback, although it probably will have minimal fantasy impact.

Chicago White Sox outfielder Mike Tauchman (groin) missed a fourth straight game on Monday, although manager Will Venable said that the 34-year-old lefty would take batting practice before the game and could be available off the bench. The White Sox were blown out on Monday against Arizona and lefty Eduardo Rodriguez and did not end up calling on Tauchman, but it seems like the lefty could be back in the mix on Tuesday against righty Ryne Nelson. Tauchman is hitting .258 with four homers and a .362 wOBA in his 28 games for the White Sox, and they'll hope he can get back in action soon.

Baltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo (elbow) is headed to Triple-A Norfolk for a rehab assignment and could rejoin the Orioles soon. He experienced discomfort in his surgically repaired left elbow after a collision with Heston Kjerstad on May 31. He was placed on the IL June 10 with the move retroactive to June 7, so he is eligible to return as soon as he's ready. The 29-year-old utility player hit just .180 with one home run and a .228 wOBA in his 32 games before landing on the injured list, but he had contributed 14 stolen bases, so he brings enough speed potential to be a streaming or bargain DFS option when he's healthy and in the Baltimore lineup.

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (head) had to be sent to the hospital for a CT scan after he was struck in the head by a foul ball while he was in the dugout on Monday night. In the fourth inning, Josh Bell fouled a hard line drive into the Nats' dugout, which ricocheted off the back wall and struck Ruiz in the side of the head. Manager Davey Martinez said that Ruiz had a lump on the side of his head and that he was "a little bit concerned." Ruiz could end up on the 7-day concussion IL at least, and if that's the case, the Nats would likely recall Drew Millas from Triple-A to platoon with Riley Adams. Adams is hitting just .097 in his 22 games in the majors this season, but does have three home runs. Ruiz is hitting .247 with two homers and a .265 wOBA in his 66 games, but he may be forced to miss time after this flukey injury.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) is back on the comeback trail from his left shoulder impingement that landed him on the injured list on May 18. He started his rehab in the first week of June but was shut down to receive an anti-inflammatory injection and was shut down for a week. He returned to action on Sunday in Single-A after an 11-day break and went 1-for-3. He said he's feeling much better during this ramp-up and will head to play for the Double-A Chesapeake Baysox. He still doesn't have a concrete timetable for a return, but there is optimism he could be back before the end of June or early in July if his rehab goes well. O'Neill has been limited to just 24 games with the O's this season and is hitting .188 with a .266 wOBA, two home runs and two stolen bases in his limited time available.

Baltimore Orioles second baseman/third baseman Jordan Westburg (finger) has missed two straight games after jamming his left index finger on Sunday against the Yankees. X-rays were negative, but he was diagnosed with a left index finger sprain and held out of the lineup on Sunday and Monday. According to the latest report from MASN's Roch Kubatko, Westburg will avoid an IL stint and could even return to the lineup on Tuesday. He is hitting only .229 in his 34 games this season, but does have seven homers and a .315 wOBA. Westburg missed extended time earlier this season with a hamstring strain, and he was just starting to find a groove before this latest injury. Since coming off IL in early June, he is 10-for-39 (.256) with three homers and a 58.3% hard-hit rate. If someone in your league bails on Westburg, he could be a nice infield addition.

Arizona Diamondbacks' SP Eduardo Rodriguez recorded 10 strikeouts in 6 innings getting the win in a 10-0 win over Chicago on Monday, Jun. 23.

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 6-1 win against the New York Yankees. He also singled, tripled, and scored twice. The fantasy superstar was a menace on Monday, blistering a triple that hit the bottom of the wall in center field at 109.8 MPH to plate Cincinnati's first run in the fourth inning. He'd score a batter later on a sac fly to give the Reds their first lead, and drive in another RBI with a single a frame later to increase it. Then, in the eighth, De La Cruz capped his massive performance when he poked a ball the opposite way over the right-field wall for his 18th homer. He's been superb thus far, and well on his way to his first 30-30 season.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 road loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The superstar right-fielder was the Yanks' only source of offense on the day, as he put his team up early in the top of the first frame. However, that'd be the only lead they'd hold, with New York going 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Judge -- and the Yankees' lineup as a whole, for that matter -- has cooled substantially since his torrid stretch earlier in the year. Still, he's batting .367 as we near July, and is second in the league with his 28 homers. It's another MVP-like season for the Fresno State product, despite hitting "just" .274 with a 1.007 OPS over 73 June at-bats.

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (head) was hit on the right side of his head on Josh Bell's foul ball into the dugout at Petco Park in Monday's series opener against the San Diego Padres and was removed from the game, according to MASN's Mark Zuckerman. Riley Adams replaced Ruiz behind the plate and would become Washington's primary catcher if Ruiz is goes into the league's concussion protocol and is placed on the seven-day concussion injured list. Ruiz went 0-for-1 in the game before getting hit in the head in the dugout. The 26-year-old Venezuelan switch-hitting backstop is merely a No. 2 catcher in two-catcher fantasy leagues, as he came into Monday's action hitting a modest .248/.279/.321 with a weak .600 OPS, only two long balls, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored in 246 at-bats this year.

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in his team's 6-0 win against the Texas Rangers. He added a single and a double. The 21-year-old looks like he's starting to heat up again, notching at least one hit in six of seven contests and three multi-hit performances over his last four. Most of those hits (11) have been singles, but that changed on Monday when he laced an RBI double to give the O's their first lead, and then crushed a three-run bomb two innings later to bust it open. It was the first time he'd gone yard in nearly three weeks. He's up to a respectable .265/.313/.422 triple slash with eight steals, 12 doubles, two triples, 32 runs scored, and 32 RBI through 71 contests.

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers blanked the Texas Rangers over eight innings in his team's 6-0 win on Monday. The former first-round pick scattered three hits -- all singles -- and struck out four to earn his first win in three tries. Rogers was recalled last week and yielded five hits and three earned runs over 2 1/3 innings to a hot Tampa Bay Rays team, but was much better against the lowly Rangers. That's not to take away from the New Mexico native, however, as he boasted an excellent 2.79 xERA and .218 xBA against coming into this start after shutting out the Red Sox over 6 1/3 innings in a spot start (May 24). His next turn in the rotation will likely come against Tampa Bay again later in the week -- this time at home.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Pavin Smith went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in his team's 10-0 win against the hosting Chicago White Sox. He also drew a walk and struck out. The Virginia alum's seventh and eighth long balls of the season were a three-run bomb and a solo shot, respectively, as the D-Backs routed the White Sox on their home turf. Smith was hitting well earlier in the season, but he's had a woeful June with a .190 average (8-for-42). Still, four of his eight hits have left the yard to give him an .840 OPS. The 29-year-old was due for some regression (.217 xBA), and it's hit him hard over the last month or so.

Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Nick Gonzales collected a hit in all five at-bats in Monday's 5-4 win against the Milwaukee Brewers. The former seventh-overall pick notched two doubles, three singles, and drove in two runs. Wow. With the massive effort, Gonzales raised his average from a solid .271 to a stellar .320 over 19 appearances since returning from an ankle injury. That gives him four multi-hit performances over his last five games, with three doubles, one home run, three runs scored, and four RBI. The 26-year-old appears to be locked into an everyday role and is hitting both right-handed pitchers (.333) and southpaws (.286) well.

Los Angeles Angels closer Kenley Jansen (pectoral, neck) said after Monday's 9-5 win over the Red Sox that he will be available to pitch on Tuesday, per MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. Jansen threw just four pitches in Monday's outing before exiting with pectoral and neck cramping. His velocity was down three MPH, but, fortunately, it sounds as though any serious injuries were avoided. The veteran last pitched last Friday and barely pitched in Monday's game, so he could conceivably make an appearance in Tuesday's game as long as he is feeling healthy.
